After drinking the chocolate chip antidote, Arthur felt better. It wasn't a quick fix, but it helped get rid of the numbness.
He had a wound, and he thought about using something like bandages to stop the bleeding. But that idea bothered him, so he watched the other little demons. They licked their wounds to make the bleeding stop, like animals.
It was strange to see them act like that, but Arthur had no choice but to learn from them. Losing too much blood was bad for any creature, even a demon.
Luckily, the gun in his hand scared the other little demons away, so they didn't bother him. Arthur licked his wound quietly. It hurt a lot, but at least the bleeding stopped.
The little demons kept fighting on the beach. Sometimes, the weaker ones got killed. But whenever a demon died, its soul got eaten right away by another demon. There was no chance for Arthur to take the souls.
Souls were really important to Arthur because of his special abilities, but all the demons wanted to eat them. It made it hard for him to get any.
After stopping the bleeding, Arthur used his special powers to create some bullets for his gun. He also used a bit of the four-eyed demon's soul to make the gun work better.
He didn't know what would happen next, so he wanted his gun ready.
But just as he finished loading the gun, something strange happened. The ground started shaking really hard!
"Is it an earthquake?" Arthur wondered.
The shaking went on for a while and then stopped. When Arthur looked around, he saw that all the little demons had stopped fighting. They woke up, made weird noises, and started running in one direction.

Some ran on the ground, others with wings flew into the sky, but they all moved fast.
Arthur didn't know why, but he ran with them. His left arm was hurt, but he was used to running on two legs, so it didn't slow him down too much.
He followed the other little demons across the beach. The green haze from the heat was going away, and he could see better now.
They were heading to a big black volcano with smoke coming out of the top.
"Is the volcano erupting?" Arthur wondered. But if it was, why were the little demons going towards it instead of running away?
Arthur didn't have time to figure it out. The leading little demons climbed the volcano without looking back. They jumped over rocks and went all the way to the top. The ones with wings flew to the very top and then into the hole at the top.
"Are they really going into the volcano?" Arthur was surprised. But he looked back at the other little demons behind him, and he had to keep climbing.
Arthur knew he had the instincts and memories of a demon, so he should know what the other demons knew. They couldn't all be wrong, right?
As for whether he would be in danger if the volcano erupted, Arthur didn't know. He would just have to see what the other little demons did and follow them.
Climbing the volcano was hard, but it didn't take too long. When Arthur got to the top, he saw inside the volcano for the first time.
There was a deep pit with smoke coming out, and at the bottom, there was a bright red color. After the last eruption, there was a thin layer of rock at the bottom. Now, there were cracks in it, and the red lava was coming through. It looked like lightning flashing at the bottom, which was really cool.
But it also meant that the rock layer wouldn't hold for long, and the volcano would erupt. If they didn't find a way to leave, they would be hit by the lava and die.
Arthur turned around and saw that the hatching place was actually an island. There was a red ocean all around, and the volcanic eruption covered the whole island. The only way out was into the sea.
But who knew what was in that red sea? The little demons had no choice; they had to go to the volcano.
Arthur copied the other demons and climbed down the inner wall of the volcano. His left arm hurt, but he was careful and didn't fall like some of the other demons.
