Getting that first soul had been surprisingly easy; the demon didn't put up much of a fight. But such opportunities were rare, and Arthur felt the urgency to collect more souls for safety. However, when he looked around, he realized a problem – the demons had already seized most of the unhatched eggs on the beach.
In an instant, the eggs he had been eyeing were gone, replaced by demons in the distance, squabbling over the remaining ones. This left Arthur deeply concerned. He wondered if these powerful demons, unable to secure eggs, might turn their attention to weaker ones like him who had already hatched.
Examining his diminutive demon form, Arthur grew nervous. He swiftly accessed his private interface to devise a plan. Though now a demon, he still thought like a human. His initial idea was to arm himself with a weapon, specifically a gun.
Arthur selected a blank page and began modeling a gun. He wasn't particularly skilled at this, but he knew that a gun should be simple and reliable. So, he opted for a revolver, known for its reliability.
As he concentrated on designing the model, a peculiar sound caught his attention. It was the four-eyed demon from earlier, having just savored a soul and now seemingly interested in Arthur's soul, which he had yet to use.

Demons had an insatiable craving for souls, and Arthur possessing one but not consuming it was like a beacon. The demon approached Arthur, eagerly eyeing his soul. However, Arthur remained engrossed in his gun design, oblivious to the approaching threat.
Unaware of Arthur's interface, the demon believed he was hiding the soul. With avaricious intent, it drew nearer and nearer to Arthur.
When the demon was almost upon him, Arthur finally sensed its approach and turned to face it. The demon thought itself clever, but it had no knowledge of Arthur's ongoing interface activities.
The demon couldn't see the interface but could smell the soul. It lunged at Arthur, attempting to snatch it away. Arthur had no choice but to defend himself. He struck out at the demon, and they both engaged in a savage, instinct-driven brawl with no rules or strategies.
But Arthur soon realized that the demon's claws were razor-sharp, and he found himself getting scratched. He attempted to deliver a well-aimed kick to the demon's vulnerable spot, but it didn't yield the desired result. Instead, the demon sank its teeth into Arthur's shoulder.
Expecting pain, Arthur was surprised to feel something peculiar, as if his shoulder was going numb. He suspected that the demon's saliva might be poisonous.
Growing weaker, Arthur knew he had to take action. He summoned his interface, using one hand to fend off the demon while with the other, he continued refining the gun model. He removed the "infinite ammo" attribute, realizing it was too much for a single soul to sustain.
After finalizing the design, he felt something cold in his hand. He aimed it at the demon's belly and pulled the trigger.
Bang!
