Of course, Arthur didn't plan to jump into the magma. He had a different idea in mind.
Arthur, being a small and lightweight demon, saw a nearby rock and had an idea. He wondered if he could jump on it, but Nezar, a much larger demon, was puzzled by this thought. Nezar couldn't imagine himself jumping onto that rock with his huge body.
As Arthur sat on the rock with magma below, Nezar watched in confusion. He wondered if Arthur's escape was a lucky accident or if he had cleverly planned it all along. How could a young demon like Arthur possess such intelligence?
Nezar knew that Arthur still had his soul fragments. If he had simply escaped, he would have used those fragments, which would have harmed his own soul.
Seeing Arthur's spider-like avatar catching up from behind, Nezar directed them to the shore, encouraging them to jump into the magma. He allowed the smaller spiders to jump, risking the loss of their soul fragments.
But Arthur had a trick up his sleeve. He used his tail to push the spiders into the magma as they tried to jump. Nezar realized this and stopped the other spiders from attempting to leap onto the rock.
"Crafty little demon!" Nezar grumbled, trying to attack Arthur with his mouth cannon. However, his limited vocabulary made it difficult to express his frustration. He taunted Arthur, "How long can you hide like this? I'll follow you along the river, and you won't be able to escape. Soon, you'll be carried away by this lava river and fall into the lower abyss, where more powerful demons will crush you with ease!"

Hearing this, Arthur couldn't help but wonder about the lower underground world and the term "abyss." Did the lava river lead deeper into this world?
Arthur couldn't afford to be trapped, but he faced a dilemma. The other side of the river was far away, and even with his rock, he couldn't bridge the gap.
He considered using the rock as a makeshift boat, but he lacked anything to use as a paddle. He couldn't risk reaching into the lava to retrieve anything.
Feeling trapped, Arthur thought about the souls he had collected. He had gathered around 40 or 50 soul fragments from the spiders he had killed. Maybe these fragments could help him.
With a sigh of relief, he summoned the system interface. After examining his collection of soul fragments, Arthur tried to exchange them for a pair of wings, specifically demon wings.
To his surprise, the redemption wasn't successful. He lacked enough soul value. Frustrated, Arthur understood that attributes like flight might require strong wings, which he couldn't obtain.
So, he adjusted his definition attribute to "glide," which was accepted. It was like wearing a wing suit, allowing him to glide short distances.
With his new ability, Arthur prepared to cross the river. He focused his power on his legs and tail, bouncing off the rock with a powerful leap. In mid-air, he extended his demon wings, using the hot air from the lava river to help him glide to the other side.
As he descended and his energy waned, Arthur grabbed the rock wall on the opposite bank with his claws. With one final effort, he pulled himself up, safely landing on the other side.
Free from danger, Arthur waved goodbye to Nezar across the river, trying to speak to him in demon language.
"Goodbye!"
With his wings folded away, Arthur left, leaving Nezar stunned by the unexpected turn of events.
