CHAPTER 28: FIRST MISSION (4)

CHAPTER 28: FIRST MISSION (4)

The little fatty took his eyes off Binh An and turned to his meat skewer instead, which was still sizzling with the fat oozing out and dropping to the ground. It turned out that the brat was so hungry that he came right into Binh An’s trap. So he was really good at hunting with traps, after catching small prey, he managed to catch such a big one this time, just not the one he expected. Someone used to say, food blinded the eyes, so it was true the entire time.

He looked at the little fatty's covetous expression, thinking that he hadn't detected any significant movement around him these days, probably because the fatty was afraid of losing track of him, so he was lying low and didn't dare to go hunting and, thus, he hadn’t had a decent meal for as long as the whole trip. Binh An couldn't help but laugh, so he asked.

"Do you want to eat those meat over there?"

“Yes! Yes!” The little fat's eyes lit up.

“Then answer me two questions honestly!”

“What?”

“First question. Why were such things displayed in your room? You clearly know such heinous crimes that demon had committed, yet you still treasure his stuff. As I remembered, he also had numerous followers willing to die for him, aren't you one of them?"

Binh An said in a very serious voice, his eyes were also extremely sharp, this was not a joking matter, the fatty shrugs instantly, answering the question with a few whispers in his throat.

"The one I worship is my master, not him!"

"Then what were those things?"

"It all belongs to my master, not mine, those things were stolen by me."

“I thought you only knew how to steal food.”

“I don't always have eyes on food!”

“So what did you steal those things for? To sell it for money and then exchange it for food?”

“Why do you keep talking about me as if the only thing I only knew in this world is food! I stole those things because I liked him, so I wanted to collect them!”

Binh An has a bit of a headache.

"Prefer? Didn't you curse at him three days ago?"

“I cursed at some aspects of him and like some other aspects! It’s totally not the same thing!”

"Then what do you like about him?" Binh An rubbed his temple.

“He was strong. He was able to kill all the top mages of that time, proving that he has supreme power unmatched by anyone and I have always wanted to become the most powerful mage of them all. Besides, I also liked his working style, he was always ready to send those who stood in his way down to the Underworld without hesitation! It’s so cool!”

If you come across this story on Amazon, it's taken without permission from the author. Report it.

When Binh An heard this, he exclaimed. "If your master knew about this, it would be the death of you!"

"You mustn't tell the master!"

"I wouldn’t think of meeting your master, anyway. Now that you mentioned it, you do resemble that demon a bit!"

"Really? Similar in what way?”

"The ending!"

"You slander me!"

"If you don't fix your bratty arrogant personality, always looking down on others with a stomach full of hatred of yours, you won't have a good ending either."

This idiot, he collected the forbidden objects that the whole world wanted to destroy as if he was collecting some sort of toys. As expected, he was still an innocent child, unaware of how life worked. He finally had some sympathy for his master for having dealt with him for so long.

The stomach of the little fatty seemed to run out of patience, so he let out a pitiful cry, causing Binh An to cover his mouth so as not to laugh out loud. The fat kid squealed.

“Can we eat yet? I’m starvingggggg!”

"Then answer the final question, answer it properly and a whole rabbit will be reserved for you only!”

"Then start asking, old man! What’s taking you so long!! Were you a turtle in your previous life? So slow!”

Binh An of course pinched the brat's cheek for his sassy tongue.

"After all, what are you following me for?"

“I… of course I'm here to monitor you! Who knows, what if you just made a random promise and then bail on it?"

“Even if I bail on it, what does it have anything to do with you?”

“Of course it has something to do with me. What if you do it for real, with your useless and weak body, you will get eaten by the tiger itself?"

Binh An didn't think that the little fatty had been following him for two days now, for fear that something bad would happen to him. So the little fatty did care for his older brother.

He was still touched until the very next second when the brat started screaming.

"If you die, then you will definitely be eaten up by the tiger. I have to be here to prevent the case and bring your body back for burial!"

Ah. Never mind. It's still better to cut off his tongue or sew up his mouth. Binh An was determined not to leave the little fatty alone, rather pounced on him and squeezed him tightly in his embrace.

The two wrestled for a while when the little fatty suddenly tripped over something, fell backwards and landed on his fat bum. Binh An then burst out into laughter as that brat got what he deserved.

However, just as he was about to grab the little fatty up, Binh An suddenly discovered what the fat boy had tripped over, half of which was still submerged in the ground and was covered with dust, but unmistakably, it was a human skull, still in a rather fresh condition.

Binh An shuddered and immediately turned pale, he felt right behind him a huge shadow that covered the entire body of both his and the fatty’s; the sound of claws grinding through the moist soil, as sharp as a scythe; the breath puffing through huge nostrils, leaving a cool damp mist on the back of his neck, and then he heard a growl in its throat, leaving him a cold shiver running down across his spine.

Swoosh!

In just a blink of an eye, Binh An rushed to embrace the little fatty and rolled to the side, quickly dodging the beast's fatal claw attack. Looks like the prey Binh An had expected the whole time was finally lured in by the aroma of the juicy meat.

Looking up at the sudden assaulter, Binh An confirmed that the beast right in front of him was indeed The Nightmare Tiger he was looking for. Even standing with four legs, it was measured twice the size of Binh An still and with just one slap of its wide jaw could instantly bite off a human's head entirely. Those who had escaped and survived from its attack were indeed extremely fortunate.

Standing in front of such a massive, oppressive and murderous figure, Binh An knew that this was going to be a very long night.
