[BL] THE VILLAIN'S NEXT LIFETIME
CHAPTER 21: REINCARNATION (7)

CHAPTER 21: REINCARNATION (7)

Binh An raised an eyebrow, wondering whether life was treating him unexpectedly too well.

When he was still at the Underworld, there was a stranger who appeared out of nowhere and believed that he would save the unjust souls. Now, when he returned to the world of living beings, after merely fixing a man’s ankle, he was confirmed to be a good person in one heartbeat.

Is the branding as a good person that easy to earn? Why did he find it extremely difficult before?

He smirked and said. "Brother, you are a bit gullible, we haven't seen each other for more than an hour!"

The man laughed out loud, raised his uninjured arm and generously patted Binh An's back a few times.

“I do have an eye for people, I know them when I see them, I believe in my judgment and I believe in you!”

"You don’t have to flatter me, I don’t charge you of your medical fee!!" Binh An smirked with one hand under his chin.

The two had not had the time to further their conversation when the aunt arrived with a medicine box in her hands. Binh An could only silently watch the two of them glued to each other with admiration.

He admired their style of life, with no extra wealth and fortune; with no high status and glory fame, absent from ambition, jealousy and competition. Their lives maintained simple, innocent and honest, yet it was still filled with warmth, happiness and satisfaction.

"Are you two a couple?" He naturally asked.

Both the uncle and aunt were still arguing enthusiastically, just like an old married couple when they heard his question. Both of them couldn't help but to immediately turn to look at Binh An.

“This…no…there is nothing happening…ha ha ha…” The auntie covered her face with both of her hands and then awkwardly giggled.

"Wait. Nothing really?" The uncle turned to the aunt wondering when he received an unmerciful slap in the back.

Binh An observed the two people in front of him who were still lost in their own world, and smiled.

"Doesn't your masters know?"

“This…” They both looked at each other for a while with awkward expressions when one of them finally spoke up. “Our master is someone who has no interest in that aspect. One time we made a mistake of showing our affection towards each other in public, leading to his frown and silently walking away. After that incident, we were just afraid that us mentioning it would make him angry again.”

“Not interested in that aspect? Is he saving himself for somebody or he simply was just stubborn? Could it be possible that he’s a monk in secret?”

"Don't make assumptions about him like that!" Aunt Ha immediately spoke up. “Our master is a virtuous man. Everybody has their own preferences. Our master seemingly doesn't like to look at affection in public and that is all right with us…”

She paused a little and then continued.

“...Apart from that aspect, he has never mistreated us in anything else, on the contrary, he is very attentive and thoughtful. One day, I suggested that a mop with a handle would be a big help for me since I had to use towels and buckets to clean the two entire floors, which unnecessarily took a lot of time and energy. The master immediately accepted my request, even scolding me for not telling him earlier. The very next day, he bought me a wooden mop as I wished and a high quality one at that. Right now, I'm really grateful to him as he gave me care, shelter, food, work, paychecks, and even bonus allowances.”

"That's right, I once told him my tools were damaged, he immediately gave me money and told me to choose freely as I wished and if there were any changes left, i could keep it for myself, it was a big sum of money, so I profited a huge amount of allowance."

“Our clothes and shoes are all taken care of by the master, he did give me money to go and buy something nice for myself but I didn't dare to take other people's money, so I refused. After a few rejections, he had to spend some of his precious time, while he was insanely busy traveling around, to take me to the shop himself. He treats us like family members rather than employer to full-time workers.

“Your master sounds like a person with money, he’s even willing to hand over money without over-analysing, so what does the master do for a living?”

Hearing this question, both of their eyes lit up, and they even tried to steal each other’s chances of talking.

“He is a supreme mage, one of a time cultivator, with boundless and magnificent power, unmatched by anyone else. He is considered the leader of the cultivator world, nothing is impossible for him to solve…”

“Right! Right! We had so many noble guests who paid a visit, all of them wanted to do business with our master, in exchange for bags full of gold, a well-known reputation, even a social standing, but in the end, the master still turned all of them down, he prefers to live low-key.”

“The number of people who want to do business with him was rather massive, but the number of admirers is even more massive, they all could probably form a line stretching miles and miles. Everyone has the same wish of becoming his very own disciple.”

“Whoa! So how many disciples does he have?”

“Three and they are all related to each other. The second young master, Chi Thanh; the third young master, Chi Khi, whose body you are taking; and the ninth young master, Chi Kien. I think the master took the three of them in when their family got in trouble!”

“So…what happened to the first, the forth, the fifth, the sixth, the seventh, the eighth or any other number that existed?”

“I heard that none of them make it out alive!”

“Do you know what happened?” Binh An got curious.

Aunt Ha shook her head.

“I got here after them, so I don’t know what had happened before; no one wants to mention the past and that’s completely reasonable.”

“Well, it sounds like your master's grandiosity and generosity has influenced this world!”

“That’s right! Our master is the best!” The uncle raised his thumb.

Binh An put on a fake smile to please the two in front of him.

In fact, he had heard too many of these acclamations of those superior cultivators , who are doing others great favors by spreading their generosity and empathy to the one in need, was actually nothing more than the wolves in sheep's disguise, pretending to be the nobility on the outside, but the inside is corrupt, rotten, and deviant.
