The night once again officially cast upon the vast land of trees, birds from all places rustled back to their nests, the forest returned to its quietness with only active sound coming from all the insects buzzing.
In the middle of the forest, a yellow dim light from a bonfire lively lit up a small area. On the ground, each piece of meat had been cleaned and skewered through a long, sharpened tree branch, ready to be grilled.
The fire did not hesitate to invade every fiber of the meat; the aroma began to creep through every corner of the forest, causing many animals to open their eyes due to curiosity and foreign scent, like tiny headlights flashing in the dark.
Binh An was still sitting calmly in front of the pile of meat, his shoulder and back all relaxed with his hand holding a small stick and poking at the ground. From a distance, it may appear that he has left his guard and his vigilance down; yet, if one looks carefully, they will notice that his face was exceedingly serious, his eyes were closed to avoid getting distracted by any unnecessary movements in front of him, he concentrated all of his energy into his two ears and tried to recognizing the stand out moving sounds around him.
Binh An suddenly heard a series of footsteps resounded from the scratching rustling on the scattered leaves, which was actually getting closer and closer by seconds. With just from his hearing, Binh An could tell the distance between the footsteps, the weight the creature was putting on to the ground and the size of the creature just by its coming in between two acknowledged bushes. Those certainly belong to a rather big in size creature, however, the sound was intentionally and subtly restrained, what he was about to deal with, definitely not an ordinary wild animal, very likely that it's what he had been expecting the whole time.
Binh An continued to poke at the chicken with the stick in his hand; it was so fat that fat oozed out from its skin, and the aroma was so appealing that it touched people's hearts. Binh An still pretended to be ignorant; he offered no defense; the opponent, influenced by his behavior, relaxed its guard as well and raised its speed at approaching, making even louder noises.
“Rustle…”
“Rustle…”
It's here!
The sound grew louder, until it was right next to his ear in close space, Binh An swung open his eyes. The body was as light as a starling and as supple as a leopard, he stepped on the tree trunk, turning a hundred and eighty degrees, decisively thrusting the sword straight into the living thing that was hiding behind a large tree trunk.
A "clang" sound made Binh An immediately withdraw his sword. The sound of the collision was a bit jarring, temporarily agitating some wild animals around, causing them to run away from their nest. And also due to this sudden gesture of withdrawing his hand, his arm was in a little bit of pain, this body is really untrustworthy.
He landed on the ground, took a step back and paid close attention to the opponent.
Surprisingly, the other party wasn’t even in animal forms, it was a person dressed in all black and covered it very carefully from top to bottom with only a small gap revealing his eyes, who fell right to the ground after the fierce impact. The other people as well wouldn’t be able to identify him this way, but in the past few days, Binh An had a very frequent look at this body shape and height, with just one glance he immediately recognized them.

"Fatty?"
“I have a name! It's Chi Kien!"
“What are you doing here?” Binh An narrowed his eyes and asked, his voice and eyebrows showing dissatisfaction.
At Binh An's "concerned" question, Chi Kien scrambled to his feet, brushed off the soil and dry leaves off of his clothes, and responded with rage.
“How dare you ask that question! Didn't you enter my room to steal my things and then run away?"
Ah. It was true that before leaving, he snuck over to the fatty's room to get some more spiritual treasures. After all, it was a monster hunting trip and magic treasures were indispensable. He was also not stupid enough to come face to face with a monster that had cultivated for hundred of years empty-handed.
In the third young master's room, part of the stuff were his personal belongings, while the rest were books, scraps, and books. As a disciple of a famous cultivator , he didn’t even own a cultivation book, let alone a single useful spiritual weapon.
Binh An, although rummaging through all the drawers, under the bed, in the wardrobe, among the books, found only a few usable abandoned talisman, of course, those were not enough. He had to find a way to get more of these.
This mansion was like an ordinary infrastructure, with no fancy features to indicate that this place was owned by a supreme cultivator. Binh An rummaged through the entire mansion all day before departure, even sneaking down in every corner of the basement, what he found useful was a sword which probably belonged to the third young master before getting taken away to avoid him using it to hurt himself. Besides that, there was nothing else but some equipment and tools.
He knew with this body, he would need more to protect himself.
So he directed his attention to the other’s room in the house. Two rooms downstairs belonged to the aunt and uncle, so there’s nothing useful inside. The two rooms upstairs, which belonged to the master and the second young master, were locked and sealed with magic spells so that strangers cannot arbitrarily break in. The only room left open was the little fatty’s which was completely neglected by the owner, of course, how could he have missed the opportunity, and sure enough, he actually was able to pull out a lot of good stuff.
Remembering this, Binh An raised a question that he originally intended to ask the fat kid back then, but because of the rush in preparation, he then completely forgot about it.
"Right! Now that you mentioned it, I have a question to ask. I saw in your room so many ancient literature, paintings, personal items, and wooden statues of that infamous demon Binh An. How did you own such things, even display them in your room? Are you a double agent?"
The little fatty got the drop on him, immediately pointed his finger directly at his face.
“So you did steal! I didn't know who the thief was, so I just accused casually, I didn't expect you would be so stupid to fall into my trap and directly confessed. Besides, why are you still pointing your sword at me? Put it away!”
“I can't find a reason to sheathe it! What if you really were a double agent and a demons’ follower?"
“If I were a real double agent, I would have secretly knocked you down in the middle of your trip.”
"You think you can beat me?”
"You weakling! I only need one kick to break all the bones in your body!"
Looked at the little fatty's face. Binh An couldn’t help but rubbing his hands on his chubby face, pinching his fat was all on his chubby cheeks and then molded it into a round dumpling with satisfaction.
The little fatty of course refused to sit still, he wailed.
“It hurts!!!”
“I know it hurts, that's why I did it! Well, didn’t you say you dare to hit me? Hit me! Hit me until all the bones in my body break!"
"Ao! Ao! Ao! Third brother had never done this to me before! You just use your old age to bully me! Let go of me!”
Binh An laughed with satisfaction, squeezing the fatty’s to the point of resembling a puffer fish, mercilessly asked.
"You've been following me for so long, your actions were so discreet, why did you decide to reveal yourself now, what's the point of showing up?"
