Beware of Zombies
Oh hey b— Mom, I miss you!

Oh hey b— Mom, I miss you!

“Do you want me to scout ahead when we arrive?” Dennis questioned for the fourth time.

“No, need. We will kill everything on the way up. If you need assistants say so before engaging targets. Make sure you understand your capabilities before engaging. This is simple stuff for spec op soldiers, right?” I jest.

Ralph held up his hands in a peace gesture. “Ladies, ladies. No fighting amongst ourselves.”

He glanced back as if looking for something or someone. I had done the same and maybe that had made him start doing it.

We marched through the lobby and there was nothing. Shit was tossed about like it was visited by a hurricane. Walls had huge holes in them. The elevator doors were pried open. I peeked into the hole to see that it wasn’t all that dark. Red lights lit up going up.

I tilted my head down and stared eye to eye with a Night Hunter. It seemed shocked as electrical webs expanded around me.

It sat there frozen in thought. I laughed and grabbed its skull pulling it out of the elevator shaft.

“Little bug, welcome to my world.” I laughed, crushing its skull.

Tossing its body back into the shaft. I clapped my hands and turned to guys as if this was nothing.

“That was kind of lame, my guy.” Dennis mock.

I gave him a lightning eyed stare. He gulped down the chuckled that was spreading his lips wide. I spread out my electrical aura, hoping to find some lifesigns.

Nothing.

“Let’s go up.” I ordered.

“Mm,” Ralph hummed.

Ralph ripped the door off its hinged. Walking in like he wasn’t scared of a Grey skin taking his life. I could only sigh, noticing the small dick had vanished.

We found nothing on the first three floors. The next two had runners. Ralph and Dennis ripped through them while I leaned against a wall. Cleaning my nails while giving advice.

“Watch your bac—,” “To your left—,” “That’s not a vital point.”

They glared at me as we stomped up the stairwell.

Ralph ripped a door out of the doorframe. Flexing at me as he sat it aside. Crease line the corner of his eyes.

Haha, he was so funny.

I went super saiyan and walked through the door. “We come in peace. We mean you no harm,” I said, calmly.

Ralph and Dennis looked at me, cringing harder than women seeing someone walking out in daisy dukes with ass all crinkle up.

“I can’t believe you just said that.” Ralph shook his head.

“I can.” Dennis sneered.

“Hey, I remember you now. You were that guy I put on his face in south america. The one with the evil villain goatee.” I rubbed my chin.

Dennis fist made an audible clenching noise. “That wasn’t me. Sorry.”

Ralph watched amused as a crowd gathered.

“Dude, I am one hundred percent sure it was you. You came in all cool like. Gun up—” I held my hand up in a gun pose, crouching as I moved in a circle. “Haha, you thought you were so badass. Walk right past me. I remember kicking your leg from under you and knocking you out. Stealing your gear and getting my employer out of your siege. Haha, I got a bonus for that.”

Dennis grabbed his sword but stopped upon seeing Ralph’s large hand blocking his path. He might be fast but he wasn’t faster than me. Plus Ralph might be a hidden troll but the guy had all enhanced attributes. He could move fast now he had training to reduce unnecessary movement.

Ralph turned to the people. His voice booming out, “If you want to be safe, then pack up and follow us. You only have ten minutes.”

I kissed my bicep and winked at Dennis. He clicked his tongue and vanished. I couldn’t stop laughing. He wouldn’t be able to sneak up on me when he glowed blue like that.

I headed up the stairway to the next floor, the one, my girlfriend, was on.

The door was unlocked and I opened it to see someone pointing a gun at me. I slapped the gun out his hand and gave him a taser shock that dropped him on his ass.

“Hannah, Chase here.” I bellowed.

I heard murmurs and then footsteps rushing my way. The first person I spotted was this lady who looked familiar but I couldn’t replace it. Followed by a girl who I could place anywhere.

Why?

She, honestly, looks like a female version of me.

The way she hung a step behind the older lady who looked familiar to me. Must be her mother, which meant mine also, right?

“Oh hey there! I guess you are my Mother, huh?” I turned away from her to Hannah walking up, looking good in that lawyer uniform. Mm, wasn’t she like interning or whatever you call the lowest rung from graduating law school students.

“Why are you yelling? Are you stupid? Or did you let power go to your head?” She pulled out a packet of tissue from her hand-purse, rubbing something on my cheek. “Ugh, how did you get blood on your face when you got these sparks things around you. Such a dumbass.”

My happy thoughts went down the drain instantly. I was going to take her to a room, lift up that dress. Spread out those long slender legs and show her some tricks I practice.

Yet now, I felt like—

I moved away from her and held out my arms to my Mother. She was crying but didn’t resist when I swept her up into a hug.

“Dad, didn’t tell me I had a twin but he did mention my mother might have been his defense attorney at one point. Well, he said a bunch of names like a woman from a club or..” I paused.

“I got the tango.” Dennis' voice came in over the mic.

“Okay, let’s head to the roof.” Ralph replied right after.

I dropped my mother and touched my ear comm. “I’m heading up as well.”

Hannah grabbed my arm with a dissatisfied look on her face. “Are we leaving now?”

I nodded and turned to the six person crowd. “Hey, if you want to survive. Head up the stairway to the roof.”

I walked to one of the large windows. Concentrating my lightning into an intense laser. I cut out a square shape in the window and jumped out, flying straight up. I had this odd feeling.

There was a shadow cast over me.

I slowly raised my head.

I gulp down my heart.
