*Three Miles Beneath the Ocean*
Xylnick and I were lead into the city with spears at our back. I was honestly wondering why Xylnick had his hands up with his Demi-God level of power, but I figured that would probably be something to ask later. I released the spell holding up the water and I could literally hear it crashing down on top of the barrier. I expected the barrier to crack some due to the massive weight of the water, but their wasn’t even a ripple on this side.
I felt the mana rushing back into my body and saw that my mana pool was quickly filling back up. I stopped paying attention to the barrier and looked towards the city. The view in front of me caused me to stop in my tracks. There was a full blown futuristic like city straight in front of me. It was full of all kinds of different species. There were lamias, werewolves, fairies, elves, and even some species that I have never heard of before.
I could understand if this was a hidden city full of lamias, but I never would have thought that it would have been more than that. I honestly should stop getting surprised at things by this point though. The city looked even more advanced than Draco Civitate did. It wasn’t really big enough for any type of vehicle to move through it, but it was packed. I could see hundreds of people in every direction that I looked.
It made me feel like the city wasn’t really big enough the amount of people that I just saw walking the street. While I was gawking I got hit in the back by the butt of a spear, “Continue walking.” I glanced at the lamia who spoke and then continued to follow the two in front of us. We were lead through part of the city and the more I looked the more it made me pity the citizens of it.
I saw more homeless people on the streets than I ever saw in any city back in America. The city really wasn’t big enough for the amount of people. We walked up to the wall of a building and the lamias in front of us literally just walked through the wall. I hesitated for a split second, but when I saw Xylnick walk through I followed after him. It felt like I walked through some sort of goo, but the feeling disappeared quickly.
We were lead into an area of the floor with little holes on the ground and floor making the shape of a square. We were pushed into the square and even before we stopped moving red beams of energy shot from the floor to the ceiling. I didn’t know what the energy was, but I saw enough sci-fi movies to know not to touch them.
The lamia that hit me in the back spoke to us, “Wait here and the chief will be down to see you.” I wasn’t able to say anything before Xylnick spoke up, “Got it.” The lamia stared at us for a few seconds before he left through the same wall we walked into. I looked at Xylnick, “Want to tell me why we had to follow them?” He looked back at me, “No need in making immediate enemies when they looked like they wouldn’t harm us if we cooperated.”
I nodded, “I agree with that, but with your Demi-God strength and my Immortal strength we should have been okay if we resisted.” Xylnick frowned, “Normally yes, but you’re not a Demi-God yet so you couldn’t see what I saw.” I raised an eyebrow, “What did you see?” He sighed, “When you reach Demi-God rank you are able to sense another god’s power and even their power level, unless they are more than one rank above you.” I nodded, “Sound convenient.” He nodded, “Yes, very. It allowed me to see that out of our five guards four of them were at the Demi-God rank.” He looked at me, “The one in the lead that spoke to us was at the God rank.”
*Pantidrop Palace – Sylvia’s POV*
“Concentrate damn it!” I couldn’t help but scream at Dani. We have been practicing magic for almost three hours and she was barely able to make a fire ball the size of pebble. It honestly couldn’t even be called a ball. Dani snapped back at me, “I am trying!” I growled at her, “Trying my ass!? You’re probably thinking about husband aren’t you?” Dani scoffed, “I don’t think about him all the time.”
I snickered, “Your twitching ears say otherwise.” Most people wouldn’t be able to see her elf ears twitching because it was very slight, but being an Immortal Power Rank my eyes were more developed than anybody in the palace right now, being a werewolf helps boost that as well. Dani turned red, “I can’t help it. I feel like something is wrong and I figure out what it is.” Now that she mentions it I feel the same way.
All of a sudden Camellia, Violet, and Xenova came walking into our training room. Drexella stopped messing with the fire ball in her hand when they walked in. Xenova spoke up, “You all feel the same as us?” I looked at her, “You feel like something has happened?” She hooked her thumb at the two behind her, “Camellia feels like something has happened, but Violet really doesn’t feel anything. I, on the other hand, have lost contact with master.”
I instantly moved and appeared in front of her grabbing her shirt, “What do you mean you lost contact with him?” She frowned, “As his slave I should be able to contact him or know where he is, no matter the universe, but I can’t feel where he is. It’s like he went somewhere outside of the universes.”
*Chronos’ Realm – Chronos’ POV*
“Ugh, I really wish that Pangu would upgrade his time management system. It really is a bother to have to constantly watch it, but I know that he really can’t leave and just buy another system right now.” I was standing there watering a couple of my plants while I listened for the alarm to go off. When something goes wrong with an hourglass or something’s time is up the alarm will sound and I can react to it in the appropriate way.
*Aroooga! Aroooga!*
I snapped my head towards the alarm panel and I saw that there was a flashing violet light going off. I instantly felt dread, because I had set the violet alarm to Vitamor’s hourglass. I dropped the watering pale and appeared in front of Vitamor’s hourglass. It was supposed to look normal and the sand was supposed to keep falling until he hit the age of twenty one, but what I saw in front of me was different.
His hourglass was empty. There was no sand in it whatsoever. I immediately started to freak out. “What the fuck!” I looked all over his hourglass and verified that the sand was indeed gone. I immediately got pissed, “Pangu!!” I screamed at the top of my lungs imbuing ever shred of power I could muster into my scream. There was quiet for a few seconds after my scream before there was a knock on the door.
I waved my hand and a portal opened up allowing Pangu to step through. To my surprise Origin-D was actually with him as well. Pangu hurriedly spoke up, “Why are you being so loud Chronos?” I pointed at Vitamor’s hourglass causing him to gasp a little, “Shit.” I grabbed him by the front of his shirt, “Yes shit, which is what I am going to plant your face in if you don’t figure out what happened!”
I was shaking him when Origin spoke up, “I know what happened, so stop shaking Pangu to death.” I stopped shaking him and saw that his eyes were rolling around in his head. I dropped him and glared at Origin with my hands on my hips, “So, speak!” He laughed a little before sitting down on the couch, “Our little Vitamor actually ran into another God King’s realm.”
I widened my eyes, “A God Kings domain? Which God King? If they harm him I will make sure that they experience death over and over again for as long as I live.” Origin actually shivered a little before he answered, “Don’t worry, the God King’s domain that he stumbled into has been abandoned for a few billion years. Pangu actually knows the God King if he thinks about it.”
I snapped my attention to Pangu, who was just now regaining his bearings, “Who the fuck is it then?” Pangu looked up at me, “Do you really expect me to remember every God King who lived in my universes?” Origin-D laughed, “You should remember this one very clearly. She was the only one who caused you harm in a fight.” Pangu actually stiffened when Origin said that.
He slammed his fist down on his palm, “Oh I remember that bitch! She was that fucking lamia that became a God King of Water!” He grumbled a little bit, “One of the few God Kings that didn’t care about my identity.” He glanced at Origin when he said that last bit. Origin grinned, “Hey I was young when I was a God King and I really didn’t know any better. If you weren’t as kind as you are I probably wouldn’t be here today.”
Pangu grumbled again, “If I wasn’t as nice you wouldn’t have become the Dragon Prince and be at a higher power level as me.” Origin smiled, “Not many are supposed to know my identity as the Dragon Prince. If word got out that an artificial dragon became a prince of the dragon race shit would hit the fan real quick. Hell I may be a Dragon Prince, but without the real Dragon Princes dying I have no way to become the Dragon King. Although my reign as Dragon King would be short even if I did manage to become it.”
Pangu grumbled some more, “If any other Dragon were to find out that an artificial dragon actually had the memories of ever dragon that ever lived or is currently alive would be something even worse.” Origin smiled, “I don’t know why the humans experiment gave me these memories and knowledge, but I have them nonetheless. Of course, the experiment may have not been what gave me the memories and the dragon heart itself. I still don’t know whose heart beats in my body. I do believe that it’s power was at a much higher level than the humans thought.”
Pangu grumbled yet again, “It’s possible. You dragons have always been able to come and go in my universes without alerting me.” Origin laughed, “Blame our affinity with mana and our ability to control it.” I finally couldn’t stand it anymore, “Okay enough about the Dragons and shit hitting the fan, what about Vitamor!?” They both looked at me and Origin motioned for Pangu to speak.
This tale has been unlawfully obtained from Royal Road. If you discover it on Amazon, kindly report it.
Pangu sighed, “The domain that he crossed into is the domain of an ancient God King of Water that I fought a few billion years ago. She actually managed to slice my arm off and I allowed her to leave the universes under the condition that she didn’t tell anyone where they were. I had her swear an oath of mana to seal her lips of the location of the universes and you know the consequences of breaking a mana oath.”
I felt myself pale a little and nodded my head. He continued speaking, “I remember her telling me that she was leaving her domain intact, because she had housed a few races on the planet that were discriminated by some humans on it. She also said that she completely wiped out the human life on that planet before she left.” I frowned, “Even the humans that may have not been part of those that were actually discriminating against them?”
He nodded, “She killed every man and woman of the human race on that planet. She did allow the children that were untainted by the adult’s teachings to stay in her domain though.” I sighed and nodded my head, “So he should be fine then?” Pangu shrugged, “That depends on how the inhabitants treat him. I will say that a few billion years is a long time and quite a few strong creatures could pop up in that length of time.”
I actually felt myself growl, “If anything happens to him in her domain I will find this God King that you let leave and I will kill her… over… and over again…” Pangu shivered and nodded his head while Origin spoke up, “Why do you care for young Vitamor so much?” I was actually shocked a little by his question, but it was a perfectly valid question for him to ask.
I sighed, “If you spent as much time watching his life as I did you would feel pity and pride well up inside you. I felt both at first, but eventually it turned into something more. After a few years of watching him I began to develop feelings for him. I tried everything I could to make him noticed Dani’s feelings for him, but he just couldn’t see it. He felt like he wasn’t worthy of her and I couldn’t help screaming at the monitor sometimes. If I was able to fall in love with him then how was she not worthy of him…”
“…He felt so unworthy of almost anything that he became selfless. He felt unworthy of any friendship that came his way and he did everything he could for those friends. He even took the fall for all of them whenever they got in trouble. All of those friends ended up abandoning him as they grew older for newer and so called cooler friends.”
I sighed again, “There was this one time that Dani was taken by a few football players and was almost gang raped, but he showed up and stopped them. He took on five larger people alone and walked away without a scratch. It showed how much he cared for her, but he was too stubborn to see that she cared for him too.” I sat down in a chair, “I am actually glad that Zeus and Odin chose him to be the last person to have another life. I intercepted him so I could finally meet him and he was just as perverted and nerdy as usual. It was amazing to actually get to see him, but I knew that my time with him was going to be cut short.”
I smiled, “He actually started to get a little more selfish when he came to this universe and it made me extremely happy for him. I was a little upset when he fucked those women, but I can get past that. I see how much he loves them all and I feel that I could be loved the same, but I have to wait. Wait until he is strong enough to destroy my suitors and your pursuers.”
I looked up at Pangu, “I was extremely shocked to find out that my kind and perverted Vitamor was the vessel for the Asura of Destruction’s soul. It nearly crushed me to know that I may lose him to it, but I will do everything in my power to prevent that.” I stood up and looked at the hourglasses in the distance, “Even if I have to ask my grandfather for help.”
Origin leaned forward, “You do know what asking him for help will mean right?” I turned towards him, “I know. I will have to leave Pangu’s universes to ask him for help and in the process I will be forced to marry one of the Asura’s my father has arranged.” Origin stood up and put his hand on my shoulder, “I could help out when it concerns your father.”
I smiled at him and put my hand on his, “I know you would, but he is my father. I can’t really have you killing him and you know that is the only way you could change his mind. The only thing that could change his mind is if Vitamor could become strong enough.” Origin sighed, “I understand, but I don’t think you will have to resort to that though.”
I smiled, “You think?” He nodded, “If Vitamor is anything like what you have been saying then as long as those he loves are okay…” Pangu interrupted Origin, “I can have NuWa watch over his friends and loved ones for you.” Origin smiled, “There, problem solved.” I smiled and wiped a tear from my eye, “Thanks guys.”
Pangu rubbed his nose, “You don’t have to thank me. We have been friends for billions of years now, plus NuWa sees you as a sister. Your brother Hades is also keeping an eye on things so you don’t have to worry as much.” I smiled and nodded my head, “Still, thank you both.” They both smiled back at me.
*Pantidrop Palace – Xenova’s POV*
I really can’t locate master no matter how hard I look. From what I know I should be able to sense his general location from anywhere in the universes. The only way I wouldn’t be able to sense him would be if he has left the universes, but is that even possible? The only way I could think of would be death, but the emblem would have disappeared upon his death.
Sylvia, Dani, Camellia, and Violet are all discussing what could have happened. I finally spoke up, “I am going to head to the last place I felt him at.” They looked at me and nodded. I activated my [Portal] spell and stepped into the hole that opened up. When I stepped through it I ended up floating in the air above the ocean. I looked straight down and then flew into the water. When I made it two miles down there were a few creatures that I had to release my aura to run off.
There was even a Demi-God whale type creature that I had to actually fight for a few seconds. I pulled back on space like a bow and shot out an arrow made of space particles. It flew straight through the whales head and pierced its brain. I sank down another mile and then smashed into something invisible. I banged on the barrier with my hands and saw that nothing happened. I then shot another space arrow at the barrier and saw that it actually shot right back at me. I dodged the arrow and then looked at the barrier in shock. This thing was actually able to block the spell of a God Rank?
*Underwater Prison Room – Vitamor’s POV*
I was staring at Xylnick and trying to comprehend what he was saying. I thought back on all the creatures I saw when walking here and there was quite a few Immortals among them. I think that with every group of ten there was at least three Immortals in the group. If the guards are Demi-God rank then what about the leaders of this city?
I swallowed some saliva and Xylnick spoke up, “I see you understand the gravity of our situation right now.” I nodded, “Yeah, a little. If the guards that picked us up are Demi-God and God ranked then what about the leaders of this place?” He nodded, “Exactly.” I sighed and then sat down on the floor. Xylnick spoke up, “What are you doing?” I pointed at the energy cage, “They probably know how strong you are and if they left us here with no guard then they are confident in this energy beam being strong enough to hold you.”
He seemed to be thinking for a minute before he sighed and sat down, “You have a point. I guess we just have to sit here and wait then.” I nodded, “I could probably get us out of this cage, but I don’t think I could get us out of the city.” He raised an eyebrow, “Why is that?” I answered him, “I tried to use a [Blink] spell earlier to escape outside of the barrier when we were caught, but I couldn’t activate the spell no matter how I tried. I think that the barrier blocks space spells at my level of power, but I don’t think that this cage would.”
Xylnick nodded, “Only one way to find out.” I nodded and then looked outside the cage. I used the [Blink] spell and I found myself outside of the cage. I quickly blinked myself back into the cage and smiled at Xylnick. He smiled back, “Well that works at least. Why didn’t you keep going?” I smiled again, “I won’t leave you behind.” I put my hand on his shoulder and tried to use [Image Teleportation], but I was greeted with a notification.
Error! Teleporting out of a God King’s domain is not possible unless the domain’s controller allows it.
Queen Silthis has denied your request to leave the domain.
I frowned, “Well shit.” Xylnick looked at me, “What happened?” I frowned again, “We are in a God King’s domain and the owner Queen Silthis has denied my teleportation.” I could see the color from his face drain and his eyes widened a little. He stuttered, “G…God King?” I nodded, "Yeah.”
There was a voice behind me, “It’s been a while since I have had to deny a teleportation. You must be a space mage.” I turned around and saw a group of lamias surrounding a fucking spider lady. This lady had a crown on her head and was staring down at me from the group of lamias. She smiled, “Greetings visitors, I am Queen Silthis and welcome to our sanctuary provided by Mother Slitherna.
*Xenova’s POV*
I tried to teleport passed the barrier, but I kept getting a notification saying that my teleportation has been auto-denied by someone named Slitherna. I was cursing up a storm and I couldn’t help, but guess that this barrier was actually a God King’s domain. Whether the God King was actually in the domain was unknown, but normally only a God King’s domain could keep a space mage over the Demi-God rank out of it.
I punched the barrier and let out a few more profanities before I flew out of the ocean. I looked back down and then activated another [Portal]. I appeared back in the training room in front of the girls. They instantly crowded around me and Dani was the first to speak, “Did you find him?” I sighed, “I know where he is, but none of us can get to him right now.” Sylvia spoke up, “What do you mean?” I frowned, “He is in a God King’s domain right now and I can’t get in, only another God King would be able to force their way in.”
Camellia spoke up this time, “You mean we have to just sit here and worry?” I started to speak, but someone else did before I could, “Don’t worry about the brat. His luck is very good so everything should be fine.” I looked around for the owner of the voice, but I couldn’t see anything. All of a sudden blue fire lit up on the ground and a person started to rise from it.
The figure had the stature of a man, but I couldn’t tell because it was cloaked. It had a hood covering its head. I could see that it had bones for hands which led me to believe that it was a skeleton. There was a giant scythe on its back that was violet in color. It floated above the ground and the spot where its face was supposed to be was nothing but darkness.
I cleared my throat, “Who are you and how do you know master?” The figure laughed, “Let’s just say that young Vitamor has someone that cares for him deeply and the brother of that person sent me to monitor the situation.” I swallowed some saliva, “That still doesn’t tell me who you are.” The figure laughed again and then bowed at the waist, “My apologies, how rude of me. My name is Skeleton King and I am here under the request of the Lord of the Underworld, Hades.”
