Jose had been ranked just barely outside the top fifty for the longest while. He had been putting in the extra training just to cross the gap into the top fifty.
It had to be noted that the difference in prestige and payout between the top hundred and top fifty was at least two million dollars more.
Not to mention the more advanced missions that could be taken by someone ranked in the top fifty.
Dante nodded his head in approval and got up with Nakita to go and meet with Jose.
But Dante felt a firm grasp on his hand and turned to look at Nakita.
Nakita with a weary smile and without a word pointed at the giant screen above the arena which displayed the match schedule for the next few days.
The moment Dante looked at the screen his normal expression broke and his eyes widened in shock.
“He challenged a what?!”
Riku, who was still sitting, let out an awkward smile as he waved at Dante.
“You Idiot!
Didn’t you learn anything from all those matches?!”
Dante grabbed Riku by the collar and shook him.
“Don’t worry I have a plan. I’m sure I can take him”
Riku tried to calm Dante down.
“You have a plan?!
For the life of me, you first years are so dumb.
Okay, since you have a plan tell me what weapon does that guy use?”
Riku’s face drew a blank and his smile grew even more awkward.
Dante shook his head and massaged his eyebrows and looked at Nakita who looked at him and nodded.
“Well then since you know everything, I want to test you.”
Dante took out his cellphone and made a call.
[Yeah, I’m calling in that favor.
I have someone here who needs a lesson asap]
Riku was a little puzzled until Dante hung up the call and dragged him by the ear.
“Come on Dante you heard him, he has a plannn.
Maybe we should trust him.”
Nakita sarcastically tried to reason with Dante in her usual bubbly and optimistic personality.
Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
“Trust my ass.
Let’s see him prove it.”

Eventually the trio arrived at a building closer to the back of the school. The building had a high top with two small arenas, one was a boxing ring while the other was a sand ring with a red circle drawn out.
The rest of the room was filled with mats, mannequins and punching bags of all sizes.
After a while a man stepped out from a room adjacent to the training area.
The man that stepped out was barefooted and wore a black belt, with a black gi that had a golden lining. His dark hair flowed like the mane of a lion. His dark skin seemed to sparkle due to the few drops of sweat that trailed over his well chiseled body.
Riku felt a bit of spite, never could he imagine that a man could be so handsome. If it wasn’t the body of an egyptian god or the sharp eyes with a hazel hue he was the picture of the optimal man.
Riku thought he was goggling until he looked to his left and saw Nakita salivating.
Dante stepped forward to introduce the new kid but he was bested by Nakita.
“Hello sir!
I know you banned me from your class for a few mistakes but look!
I brought a new student.”
Nakita vigorously shook the teacher's hand while staring thirstily at his open chest.
Okeeve showed an awkward smile but with his perfectly sharp face even that seemed to shine. He pushed Nakita aside and sized up Riku.
“I am Okeeve Abidon, the unarmed combat teacher for the second years.”
Okeeve shook Riku’s hand and continued.
“Normally I would only teach first years after their bodies reached a certain standard thanks to physical training. So you are already at a disadvantage … but let’s see what you have.”
The moment Okeeve finished talking he jumped back and adopted a sturdy stance looking like a tiger with his palms imitating the claws of a tiger.
“Since you want to fight that guy, this teacher is the closest person in terms of fighting style to him.”
Dante interrupted
“Wait wait! he is a teacher and I don’t even have my weapons on me!”
Riku tried to de-escalate the situation but then Nakita was the one who took two guns out of nowhere and through it at Riku
“Dont worry silly we wouldn't have carried you here empty handed”
Nakita giggled as she sent his guns hurling.
“Wait, Wait!
Are we really going to fight in here?
What if a stray bullet hits one of you guys?!”
The moment Riku said that, the room burst out in laughter.
It took a good few minutes before Dante stopped laughing and held Riku by the shoulder.
Dante’s expression gained a serious look and killing intent sent shivers down Riku’s spine.
“You could never shoot one of us.”
Dante’s voice held a firmness as though it was a fact that was eternal. It felt like a commandment from God that could never be violated.
“Enough already, I don’t have all day.”
Okeeve was the one who interrupted.
“Okay! Let the match begin!”
Nakita signaled the start of the spar.
Riku lifted his pistols and aimed at Okeeve who was unarmed and on the other side of the room.
Okeeve’s stance was low with his hands forming an open palm that looked like the paw of a tiger.
Riku made the first shot. The moment he fired Okeeve seemed to have disappeared.
Riku was stunned at how fast the teacher could move. He glanced left and right trying to see where the teacher had moved.
Riku saw a shadow coming from below.
Then Riku was hit with an upward palm strike to his chin from point blank range.
The force from the palm strike lifted Riku off the ground and slammed him into the wall behind him.
Okeeve patted off hands and looked at Dante
“If I knew he was this weak I would have taken it easy on him.
I thought you said he was talented.”
Dante showed an awkward smile
“He is, you teachers are just freaks.
Do you think you can help him?”
Okeeve looked at Riku who was still on the floor and sighed
“He definitely needs some work but I know just how to get him there in a short amount of time.”
Okeeve grew a sinister grin and looked at Nakita,
“Oii, rush hour looking girl! get the defibrillator.
We are just getting started.”
