The silence was grim. The table was filled with pictures of deceased students, each killed more viciously than the last.
The teachers who sat at the table bit their tongues and clenched their fists to satiate their angers.
"According to our information they are specifically targeting Assassin Academy students.
While we haven't seen them target any of our stronger sets of students, they seem to enjoy taking out the younger ones."
Miss Alexander read her report while she walked around the table of teachers.
"I say we get everyone and hunt them down and wipe them out like we did in the old days.
Let's see how they like being hunted by thousands of the best assassins in the world."
The teacher who spoke was a man named Okeeve. He was of dark complexion, his hair looked like the mane of a lion. His wild flowing hair connected perfectly to his low cut beard. His tall black hair was contrasted by his white gi shirt while his sharp hazel eyes complimented the gold lining on his gi.
Okeeve was the martial arts instructor for the school. Although his muscles were not as exaggerated as Victor's, his arms were still big enough to put the average man to shame. Moreso since his gi was sleeveless his well defined muscles were well on display.
"Sure we can do that, and let the entire assassin world see that we are afraid of a few insects."
The person who responded sarcastically was the history teacher Miss Debeers. She scoffed at Okeeve's barbaric thoughts.
"Listen, instead of letting the whole underworld know about this, I say we deal with it ourselves like we've always done."
"That's right. We take them out and every penny pusher behind them, in house."
The man that responded in support was a man by the name Billy. He was the type that you wouldn't notice in a room. He wore a jet black bodysuit with leather platings and spikes all over it. Billy looked more like a ninja than a teacher.
Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
"Yeah, like you're one to talk. This is all because of your incompetence."
Another teacher began to accuse Billy.
"You're supposed to be the head of security here. Where the hell were all of your useless shadows when all these killings were taking place?!"
The teacher slammed the table and a look of outrage was plastered on his face. The accusing teacher was an old man who dressed in a long robe and only had a beautiful estoc sword by his side.
Gabriel always allowed the teachers to voice their opinions but now that Grand Master Sherr had insulted Billy's shadows he had to step in. Moreso now when he was well aware that Billy had lost a fair amount of his shadows due to these attacks.
Although this was not public knowledge it was a fact that out of all the teachers Billy had lost the most.
Billy was head of security for the school and its students. He held command over an elite group called the "Shadows".
They were responsible for protecting the students while they were out on missions from external threats. ninety nine out of a hundred times, the students nor anyone else would not even know the shadows were there.
In order for the students on the table to die, the attackers had to get through at least twice as many shadows to reach them.
Which meant that at the end of the day Billy had suffered the most loss.
"That is enough!"
Gabriel interrupted.
"Until we deal with who is behind this we will stop all external missions except those carried out by high level teams or those accompanied by a teacher.
Lucky for us the rankings just started so we have a wonderful excuse that buys us a little more time."
Gabriel lowered his tone as he continued to declare and vetoed all the previous talks.
A silence was sitting in the atmosphere, until a teacher in his glasses and low cut hair tore down the silence to ask his question,
"And what about the Union?"
Gabriel stuttered momentarily before replying
"I… I will deal with them personally. They are my mistakes.
I will be sending a team to find their location and I will wipe them out personally.
I will deal with them in the old ways."
The entire staff was momentarily surprised, mostly due to the fact that it had been a long while since this 90 odd year old man had done any practical battle on the battlefield.
For many years now he had been confined to the office and administrative work.
Even worse was he was willing to resort to the "Old ways".
It had to be noted that for them the "old ways" meant that not only the organization would be dealt with but every one who contributed financially as well. Not to mention all the family members of anyone who was of high rank would also be massacred.
The teachers around the table gulped. They knew how bloody the old ways were. Every death was a massage and always more disgusting than the last.
It had been a long time since things got this serious, now even they were curious what the "Union" was.
"That's all for today, you are all dismissed!"
Rocking them from their stupor Gabriel dismissed the entire room of teachers and fell back into his seat. Gabriel let out a heavy sigh before looking up to the ceiling and rubbing his hand through his white head of hair.
Gabriel's eyes seem to sharpen as though a demon had entered the room and possessed his body.
Gabriel let out a sly grin and an aura that suffocated everything inside the room.
'So it really came to this… very well then. If they want the old Gabriel they will meet him once again."
