Mr. Darwin used his wands to stir the bowl of written traumas. After about 10 seconds, he stopped stirring and began handing out the papers to everyone. There were only 13 students, so when they received their papers, they immediately started reading and solving the problems. Annie thought this was a waste of time. As she was eager to eat lunch, she quickly opened her paper.

Paper: My name is James. I'm a 9th grader and started here as an 8th grader at M Academy. I had a normal childhood...but with a twist. I have a sixth sense that allows me to tell if someone is lying. It was controllable, so I could turn it off and on by wearing a rare type of gem. At my old school, I was shy, quiet, and isolated, with barely any friends. The few friends I had eventually left. One day, I had to swap schools. When I arrived at my new school, I was approached by a friendly teacher and friendly-looking classmates. All of my classmates wanted to be my friend, and I slowly came out of my shell. I told my friends my deepest, darkest secrets, including my small crush on the teacher Ms. Lily.
One day, while walking in the streets, my friends said they needed cash and decided to rob a local game shop owned by a young couple. I was scared, but my friends pressured me, so I joined them. Late at night, they told me they were already in the store waiting for me. My stupid brain believed it, and when I broke in, the alarm went off. My friends were nowhere to be seen. The owner tried to taser and shoot my leg, but fortunately, the police arrived. I was sentenced to juvie for four months and had to do one month of community service. No one believed that my friends coerced me—not the police, not even my own family. I felt so betrayed. When I returned to school, I found my locker covered in criticism and a poster of Ms. Lily's OnlyFans with "sick pervert" and "sex addict" written on it. I don't have a sick fantasy about my teacher.
People at school bullied and criticized me. When Ms. Lily found me, she slapped me and tried to sue me. Eventually, I got expelled. It turns out one of my friends had included that specific gem in our friendship bracelet to turn off my sixth sense, so I couldn't see through their scheme. I learned that people are full of dark truths and evil lies. People are monsters, selfish beings who only care about their survival. People cause pain and tragedy. People are blind, jumping to conclusions without any explanation. Do you think you can fix it?
The trauma was intense, and Annie saw some classmates crying while others were deep in thought [https://img.wattpad.com/3df247aec09a061cb26fd955ece9b4e4241c7be4/68747470733a2f2f73332e616d617a6f6e6177732e636f6d2f776174747061642d6d656469612d736572766963652f53746f7279496d6167652f4e483144702d7a59666459574a413d3d2d313436333532333333392e313765343238643738613938306133373639303232313031373631372e706e67?s=fit&w=1280&h=1280]
The trauma was intense, and Annie saw some classmates crying while others were deep in thought. Annie's emotions were mixed. Who was this James? She looked around and saw the emo boy staring at her. Annie immediately looked back at the paper. That was weird... Could she answer this? Well, it wouldn't hurt to try anyway. Annie picked up her pen and started to write her answer. After she finished, Mr. Darwin collected all the papers.
"Okay, everybody, it's recitation time," Mr. Darwin announced. "Without using or looking at the paper."
The class gasped, nervous. Annie was very nervous and hesitantly placed her paper in the bowl.
Make it done...make the bell ring or whatever...make a class fight outside...anything...just let me get out of this situation! Annie thought, trying to put on a brave face. But she couldn't hold it; she looked like she was having a panic attack.
"Oh, yeah, I forgot to mention," Mr. Darwin added, "I accidentally doubled the paper for one of you, so there will be two people getting the same one."
Are two people getting the same one? I wonder who it was...if it's her, she's gonna freak out... But whoever got hers will have a good answer...at least... Annie thought.
As Mr. Darwin called the students one by one, Annie grew more nervous. She was interested in the class's answers. Some of the traumas were about ghosts, household pets, being catfished, drinking expired milk or food, moving to a new school, teasing, and bullying. This made Annie more anxious, as most of the class's traumas seemed minor compared to hers. She hoped she wouldn't have an anxiety attack. The class's solutions were honest and simple: journaling, therapy, comfort from family, support groups, food, and video games.
When it was Grace's turn, she stood up.
"Grace, what is your understanding of that person's trauma?" Mr. Darwin asked, serious and calm.

Grace stood up gracefully and started to speak, her voice professional and calm. "To my understanding, this person had a tragedy in their childhood. That person's trauma is about how the harsh reality treated them and their mother unfairly, expressing their pain through blaming reality and our society...which I agree with. The treatment for this is...umm...umm...amm..." Grace stuttered, very nervous.
"My solution is that...umm...they seek comfort from family...and to rest...inside always...and umm...forget about it?" Grace said nervously, sitting down with an embarrassed and shameful look. Grace's answer was good compared to others if she hadn't stuttered. To Grace, she had made a big mistake.
Now it was Annie's turn. She stood up abruptly, this time with confidence.
"My understanding of this guy's trauma is that he exchanged his love, care, and support with his friends, but they backstabbed, manipulated, framed, and criticized him. How would I solve this, you may ask? My solution is that he could either seek revenge to feel satisfaction or move forward and be a better person, being more cautious with people. We should also not always see society as evil because that will affect us mentally and physically. We need to find or make a brighter side of society."
The class clapped at Annie's answer. Mr. Darwin was so impressed he patted Annie's head. The class applauded continuously, except for two people—the emo boy and Grace. The emo boy seemed lost in thought.
Is this the emo boy's paper?! Annie gasped to herself. But she looked at the applause and, for the first time, felt appreciated by a group of people.
"Good job, Annie, you did well. I'm proud of you," Mr. Darwin said with a cheeky grin. "Okay, now finally...John, it's your turn to shine."
That's the emo boy's name...John? Huh...that's...unexpected... Annie thought.
John, the emo boy, was tall, with piercings and a tattoo on his arm. His hair was purple, possibly dyed or natural. John groaned before looking at Annie weirdly. Damn, I guess this is Annie's lucky day to get stared at by handsome guys, she thought.
"I'll keep it short and simple since I'm hungry as shit," John began. "My understanding is that this person went through a lot but alone at a young age. My solution is that they should stop carrying the burden alone and find some trustworthy friends to help lift the burden. It's easier when there's someone trustworthy."
The class applauded John's answer. They weren't surprised since John was always top of his class in this particular magic subject. Then the sound of a loud electric guitar grabbed the teacher's and students' attention. It was M Academy's bell. The school speakers started to talk.
"Hello everyone, this is Ms. Mel, and after lunch, you will be dismissed to go home. Warning: there's a monster in the school, so please report any suspicious activity of students or if witnessed."
The class was full of reactions—some indifferent, some panicked, scared, confident, calm, and overreacting. Annie's reaction was anxiety. She noticed the class leaving and Rose waiting for her outside the classroom.
"Hey, girl," Rose said in a friendly voice.
"Hey, Rose...need anything?" Annie asked.
"We're friends, right? Since we're friends, let's eat lunch together, okay?" Rose said, pushing Annie to the elevator and pressing the button for the fourth floor, where the main lunchroom was. When the elevator doors opened, it felt more like a huge food court than a lunchroom for students. The size was overwhelming for Annie, and her head started to spin.
"You'll get used to it," Rose said, continuing to push Annie to the corner of the lunchroom [https://img.wattpad.com/f68319741ea9e0e3b441343b8d8331f5899ae8a6/68747470733a2f2f73332e616d617a6f6e6177732e636f6d2f776174747061642d6d656469612d736572766963652f53746f7279496d6167652f384830477130346331634b6d62413d3d2d313436333532333333392e313765343261623165663132643762393536323237363739303237332e706e67?s=fit&w=1280&h=1280]
"You'll get used to it," Rose said, continuing to push Annie to the corner of the lunchroom. She saw tables full of people in groups. Usually, students sat with their grade friends, but this one was different—every table had different grades seated at it. Weird, right?
"I'll introduce you to my friend group! They're all divine users!" Rose said excitedly [https://img.wattpad.com/c243d197f3638a44270e22ddfa70063249fb5156/68747470733a2f2f73332e616d617a6f6e6177732e636f6d2f776174747061642d6d656469612d736572766963652f53746f7279496d6167652f63355254312d68694f476a5976773d3d2d313436333532333333392e313765343261633931646638393666303639373535343638383430392e706e67?s=fit&w=1280&h=1280]
"I'll introduce you to my friend group! They're all divine users!" Rose said excitedly.
"Yeah...but I have some things to do...like eat and...where the fuck is Annie since she's visible...I'm worried about that old blonde..." Annie said, her face showing shock.
"Oh yeah...sorry about that. Well, to fix that, you should just hold the doll and say 'Bell return!' It's that easy," Rose explained.
Annie did as told, and Bell returned to the dream room. Where have you been, Bell? Did you have fun hiding? Annie thought sarcastically.
"Stfu, fuck you! I had to hide in the school's basement! Thank God I can go through walls! Do you know how many students and teachers were chasing me? Good thing I had a disguise!" Bell said angrily, annoyed at Annie for not letting her go back.
"Also, if you eat, I eat, so feed me, motherfucker!" Bell said in a bratty, commanding voice.
"Rose, umm...can you guide me to get my food?" Annie asked.
Annie bought some orange chicken, some dim-sum and leche-flan from a chinese food st and.
