CHAPTER-4..............................WAR

With the emergence of a new gang in Mumbai, this led to many complications some gained opportunities while some did not. With the absence of George and George himself is occupying Thakur's bases, Munna's automatically gained some power and were eagerly waiting for the right opportunity to attack Thakur's. Meanwhile the police who got the opportunity to control the gangs did not entertain the idea of emergence of a new gang. Each of them having their clear motives are certainly aware that their motives will definitely lead into a war between the gangs, It's just a matter of time until a gang war provokes. This situation directly reflected the 1990's era where the NEW WORLD ORDER took control of the situation. The police are now waiting for the right opportunity.

George on the other hand wants to know what task does Thakur has after all. He was keen on that because it felt so much important to Thakur. But he failed to gain any information. So, he gave Abraham the responsibility of the information regarding 'THE TASK'.

George started to occupy the remaining bases which are left of Thakur and looted money, he turned some of Thakur's men towards himself by revealing the info about ship. George's gang rapidly grew into power and soon it became a primary target to Thakur. Munna's on the other hand were quiet for a while.

Abraham : You've occupied at least ½ of Thakur's bases. I wonder why he hasn't called or attacked you yet.

George : That's the thing Abraham, its THE TASK. He is very careful about it. there's not much money left in the bases. He doesn't care about them. he wants the task whatever it is to be completed and he leaves.

Abraham : Whatever the task you are saying it is, Thakur is very personal about it. Because I know him, he never let somebody take his bases away, even though the gang is in weak crisis, he definitely claims back his bases. Now this makes certain he doesn't want to alert the police. He is planning big George.

George : Any progress on the info?

Abraham : Nobody knows about that. But we will know when the time comes. What are you planning next?

George : We have enough men Abraham.

Abraham : Stop right there. You are not thinking about what I am thinking right now are you?

George : I think yes, planning to take on the Munna's casino.

Abraham : George the Munna's have been unusually quiet for some time. They might be planning an attack or waiting for an ambush. Even though you take on the casino we don't have enough money to run it.

George : Abraham, this is the month end. At the end of every month money in the casino is transferred to the main base of Munna's. We will attack the casino tonight and takeover both money and casino at the same time. We will have more than enough money to run both gang and casino. We will have a definitive source of capital.

Abraham : Sounds like a plan.

George : Besides how many days are we going to rely upon Thakur's bases for money. Taking on this casino will give us the power and money.

Abraham : But, this will cause you even more problems, Munna's will not tolerate the idea of someone taking over their casino. We will need more men to protect our bases and the casino once we take it.

George : We will obtain them once we take over the casino.

Abraham : We need to take the risk. You plan the attack I'll gather the men.

NIGHT 11.30pm...............................................................................................GEORGE'S BASE

Abraham gathers men for the attack. Everyone gather at the base. George puts a blue print of the Munna's casino and explains the attack plan, then he divides the team into two halves A and B, and orders half of the team i.e, team A to get in the transport vehicles and be ready to leave and keeps the remaining team B in the base.

Abraham : The blue print? Seriously? Where did you get it?

George : The builder himself(smiles)

Abraham : (smiles) c'mon let's go.

George : Wait. You are not coming. Stay here.

Abraham : Are you for serious?

George : Yes Abraham. Stay here. I am clear.

Abraham : It's your call to make. Be careful out there George.

George : I will.

(George then gets on his bike and is ready to leave)

George : (to the men in transport vehicles) If anybody fears death then they can get out.

(no one gets out)

George : Well. Then let's get started.

MUNNA'S CASINO.......................................................................................................12.00am

George and his men reach the casino,

George looks the exteriors of the casino and signals his gang to start the attack once the civilians are gone. Once the exterior was clear half of George's men start to take out the guards outside the casino while the remaining half immediately rush into the casino with one of the guard breaking the entrance wall with a transport vehicle George and the remaining half of the men immediately gas the interior of casino and start taking out the guards in the casino.

After the exterior was clear everyone move in to the casino and soon civilians inside the casino run for their lives. George and his men attack too quickly giving Munna's gang barely time to respond. Again half of the men along with George divide to locate and secure the money in the vault. While the other half team take out the guards in the casino remaining half team move quickly through the floors to the underground vault eliminating the guards in their way. Once the half team reaches the underground vault they were stunned and stop immediately.

George and his team find many guards protecting the vault as it seems that they were waiting for him. George realises the he is ambushed. On the screen in the casino Munna appears and communicates with George as following.

Munna : George..George..George.... always attacking. You know the main problem with you is that you never stop to think if you are doing the right thing. That led you to this trap. You came here for the money?(laughs) you have it. Take it if you can. By the way my guards are on their way to your base. Tonight you die George along with your so called gang. You should've accepted my deal. Now you die.

(to his guards) kill them all. (The screen turns off)

George immediately launches a grenade and his team take cover. George takes at least 1/4th of the men while the remaining takes out the same. He orders his team to cover him as he needs to return to the base to protect it and as the situation at the vault comes to normal George leaves to the interior of the casino where he finds the other half team getting attacked by extra men of Munna's who show up at the casino as a part of ambush plan. George aids his team and leaves the casino giving the team responsibility to take on the casino and secure the money which they agree to do so.

George takes his bike and rush to his base to save Abraham and the base. He arrives at the base where Munna's men attack George's base while George's team B which he purposefully kept at the base defending it. Upon reaching the base George finds that Munna's men completely breach the base. George makes his way through them and finds many of his men falling. Things seem pretty intense until Abraham enters the battlefield and aids George.

George, Abraham and team B successfully protect the base from the Munna's and immediately rescue the fallen members. George then receives a phone call from team A which delivers the news that the casino was taken over and the money in the vault is safe. At around 1.45am things end in a good way for George's team as they were successful in both taking over the casino and protecting their base.

The fallen guards were receiving treatment and George sits on the stairs keeping his gun aside. He is covered in blood. Abraham sits beside him.

Abraham : George.., You did well today. You kept half the team here in purpose, you were ready for the ambush, You protected your base, your team while attacking your enemies. That makes you different from Thakur and Munna. I am proud of you(keeps his hand around George's shoulder).

George : (smiles) Now, we have a casino to run, let's shift things to there and leave this base.

Abraham : Oh we sure do!

George, Abraham and team B reach the casino and rejoin team A where guards report that no one of team A is dead but several injured and were given treatment. They get rid of the dead bodies of Munna's gang and takeover the casino. The night ends.

NEXT DAY.....................................................................................................................................

George and his men start to repair and renovate the casino. Every member of his gang report at the casino and protect it. George receives a call from Munna.

Munna : I have to agree, You've surprised me. But taking over the casino doesn't mean you will have the dealers. I will not let anyone to invest in the casino.

George : Actually we do have investors, remember the deal which I've done to start the gang, they've just made their investment in the casino. Thanks to Abraham, I am always one step ahead of you. Admit it Munna you've lost.

Munna : This isn't over yet(cuts the call).

POLICE HEAD QUARTERS..........................................................................................................

Commissioner Nicholas and his team become aware of the shootout at the casino and gather eye witnesses and leads about it. After examining them they confirm the formation of new gang and that it took over Munna's casino. Commissioner Nicholas who wants to catch Riaz through Thakur did not want this third gang to spoil the plan. So he advised the police to keep an eye on the three gangs but do not interfere in the gangs matters as he wanted to deal with it personally.

ONE WEEK LATER........................................................................................................................

George and his men finished repairing the casino and people start to show up at the casino and the business gets started. George's gang gets the power and Money and this pains Munna. He is eagerly waiting for his opportunity.

But Munna then starts to think things in a different way. Since Thakur hasn't responded on George taking over his bases, what if George never left the gang but is secretly working for Thakur and waging a war against him(Munna) indirectly so he(Munna) can't blame Thakur. As Thakur's currently have no money a direct attack on Munna's may result in elimination of his(Thakur's) gang. But, if George who stood towards Thakur and protected the gang solely left the gang and start to attack Munna, that too by attacking Thakur's in the beginning to leave no clues, then Munna will have no quarrel with Thakur regarding the attacks. This leaves Thakur's in the blind spot and George will have a direct quarrel with Munna's. Then Munna thinks why to do things with such a difficulty? Then he realises that all of this is to distract police from himself(Thakur) and divert it towards the provoking gang war. So why to distract the police? Munna has this question in this mind. Thakur now considering this things if what he is thinking is right then Thakur should definitely have something important, an important TASK to do. But he asks himself what could be 'THE TASK'?

Munna wasn't sure about his argument but he definitely knows Thakur is up to something, which may or may not have connection to George forming a new gang. Since Thakur was so quiet lately, this supported his argument. But he needs to confirm it.

George becomes busy dealing with the casino and he relocates his main base as the other was attacked. Abraham on the other hand handles the gang matters, everything was progressing quickly and George grew into much of a spotlight garning allies as well as enemies. The police were keen to either raid or take out the casino but were waiting for Commissioner Nicholas order who is in fear that a raid at this time might alert Thakur and disturb 'THE TASK'. So, George at this point was unstoppable which he took advantage and made his place among top position of the gangs. The Munna's were very pissed but Munna was waiting for Thakur's reaction who doesn't seem to care at all. This fuelled his arguement and he arranged a private meeting for Thakur and himself.

THAKUR AND MUNNA's MEETING............................................................................................

Thakur and Munna sit face to face; this is their first meeting since 2000's. So, there is a lot of tension between them.

Thakur : Why did you want to have this meeting?

Munna : You of all should definitely know why.

Thakur : George?

Munna : Yes.

Thakur : What about George?

Munna : (Munna notices Thakur's weird behaviour) Do you seriously want to believe me that you do not know George who used to be your most powerful weapon has left your gang and recently established a gang? that too by taking your deals and bases.

Thakur : What does that have anything to do with you? Oh wait is this about Casino?

Munna : It is kind of. But let me get is straight, according to the things last year you and I were the only members having a gang and I'll admit you were ahead of us.

Thakur : Why are you telling me all this?

Munna : Patience. Remember the time when you initiated an attack on me in 2000's when my gang was starting. You certainly hate competition. You were never passive in your attacks. But consider this, A man who is holding a strong place in your gang leaves and forms his own gang, steals your deals, occupy your bases, take your money and finally your men. You dropped out as the top gang and you doesn't seem concerned about any of the things I mentioned and rather kept quiet for a long time. If someone stays quiet for some time, then it means that they want to avoid the spotlight and are planning something.

Thakur : So, you are thinking that I am working with George?

Munna : Yes. What are you up to Thakur?

Thakur : (giggles)

Munna : Why are you laughing? There is nothing to laugh about.

Thakur : (looking sternly towards Munna) Otherwise what? If I wanted to attack you or your gang, I would've done that a long time ago. Attacking you was never been brought into account. If you think I am working with George, then it is your madness. Besides, existence of another gang in the city will help me by reducing the spotlight on my gang.

Munna : Then why are you keeping quiet? Your gang now barely exists.

Thakur : (stands up)This meeting is ended. Now, let's leave.

Munna : (stands up, Thakur turns back and starts walking towards his car) Let's take out George. It will be a benefit for both of us.

Thakur : (stops walking turns his face back) I'll rather not think about it.

(Thakur leaves)

Munna did notice that Thakur was avoiding any questions regarding George and 'THE TASK'. Munna now was furious; He desperately wants to eliminate George at the first place for taking his casino. But, he is keeping his suspicions on Thakur by just waiting for his chance.

THREE WEEKS LATER.................................................................................................................

LOCATION: GEORGE'S CASINO.................................................................................10.45pm

Abraham : Why are you getting dressed?

George : (sporting a suit) It's the month end. We've made pretty much ransom in the past three weeks. Dealers are showing much interest to invest in our upcoming businesses.

Abraham : Well that's good news. Did you do a background search on the dealers?

George : Yeah. They've done many deals with Thakur in the past.

Abraham : In case you dunno since you've been busy, this is the month end.

George : Yes Abraham, I know the money transfer.

Abraham : Yeah, the vault is full. We need to transport the money tonight.

George : Start transporting the money from 11.00pm tonight, you know the location. Take care of the transfer and once it reaches the base secure it in the locker. I will be away with the dealers.

Abraham : Without you and me, wouldn't the casino be in trouble?

George : No. I took care of the casino, kept more guards tonight. Wouldn't be much of a problem if the rivals show up.

Abraham : If you say so. Okay then I will start making the arrangements.

11.00pm........................................................................................................................................

Abraham and George leave the casino, George alone in his car and Abraham leading the convoy consisting a strong black van and two vehicles as protection.

LOCATION : UNKNOWN (ROCKY TERRAIN)

George reaches the rendezvous point, but there is no sign of dealers. George's instincts make him realize that it's a trap. Everything was a bit quiet. George stands still focusing on the surroundings. He hears a noise from the backside of a car. George then immediately runs towards his cars and takes out his AR. The unknown guards who were waiting for George show up and firing takes place. George takes cover by hiding behind his car. There must be at least 10 men equipped with heavy weapons and armour. Luckily George too was sporting Kevlar in his suit which is bulletproof.

Immense gunfire takes place between George and the gunmen, after taking out some men George switches his position to backside of a rock where he finds the dealers shot dead. George eliminates all the remaining gunmen in around 10mins.

George doesn't have an idea about what just happened. He sits in the car and thinks about who might've ordered gunfire on him, but he is not sure because both Thakur and Munna know George's capability and will not send less men instead send more experienced men, So, why to do this? George then realises all this setup is to distract him, either from the casino or from the convoy. Since the casino has enough men and extra guards to protect it, George immediately starts his car and starts to travel towards the convoy. In the midst of the journey George makes multiple calls to Abraham and the guards in the convoy but none lifts.

George speeds up and finally reaches the convoy in 15min only to find out that the convoy has been attacked. 'THE BLACK VAN' is missing. George desperately searches for Abraham but Abraham lays down on the road shot dead, George held Abraham in his hand and cries, all his memories with Abraham start to flash in his mind. George eyes turn red; guards from George's gang arrive at the situation when they come to know about the attack. George orders them to take the bodies away and searches the scene and finds a card belonging to Munna's gang member. Everything comes in one piece to George, Munna tried to kill George but instead distracted him either way it kept him busy and George couldn't stop Abraham from getting killed and 'THE BLACK VAN' which contains the money from being stolen.

George without even thinking for a second took Abraham's personal hand gun and some other weapons, put it in his car and start to travel towards Munna's base which he learnt by backtracking the signal which he received by the phone call from Munna and the telecast during the attack on casino, George kept that location only to attack Munna if necessary which came handy to him now.

12.15a.m.......................................................................................................................................

LOCATION : MUNNA'S BASE

George stops his car before reaching Munna's base to avoid any noise. Once he reaches the base he observes many strong vehicles parked outside and there were guards in armour, many guns were kept aside, this confirmed that the guards used the vehicles outside to attack the van and definitely these men attacked the convoy.

George initiated his attack, since the guards kept their guns aside, they were not ready for counter-strike, George finished his attack quickly and Munna came outside to find George attacking his base. George saw Munna who was upstairs, Munna was frightened he started to run to find his weapon. George went up and killed all the guards in the way. Munna was unable to find his weapon and gets caught George. George points his gun towards Munna, but George throws his weapon away and folds his fists and kept his guard up gesturing Munna to come into a fist fight. Munna agrees and says "This might be your dumbest decision in your life" to which George replies "Let's find out". Both of them engage in a brutal fight breaking lot of furniture, at a point in the fight both of them break the glass and fall to the ground floor, but even continue their fight. George ultimately gains upper hand and lands a couple of punches on Munna's face. Munna is covered in blood and falls to ground, but he's conscious. George then takes out Abraham pistol and aim it towards Munna's forehead and says "You know what's the dumbest decision in your life? Killing Abraham". Munna appears perplexed and yells "What are you talking about? Abraham is dead? I swear I didn't have anything to do about it."

George at this point was confused,

George : Your men and the vehicles outside! What were they for?

Munna : (weakened tone) We planned an attack on you, to reclaim the casino and to kill you. The attack was supposed to happen midnight, but we didn't expect you to show up. How did you even know our base?

George removes the gun from Munna's forehead, turns back and is confused. He thinks if not Munna, who might attack both him and the convoy? He thinks Thakur might've done it, but George doesn't know why Thakur suddenly made a big decision if he had done so. George gets lost in his thoughts, taking advantage Munna regains his strength pulls a knife and tries to kill George from the back. But Munna was fired in the back, George turns back immediately and aims the gun ready to attack, Munna falls down and eventually dies. Then it is revealed that Anthony fired Munna in the back, he and his men enter the base. George pulls down his gun, but is desperate to know why Thakur's men had shown up in Munna's base. Anthony walks up to George and gives him a phone which is active in call.

(George picksup the phone)

Thakur : Hello George. It's been a while since we spoke.

George : Thakur! You son of a bitch! You killed Abraham! I am going to kill you for that.

Thakur : Ah! The same ol' George. Always vigorous. Listen carefully George. Killing Abraham was never my intention. You've put him between us.

George : Then why distract me? You've sent exactly enough men so that I don't get doubt on you. You killed the dealers and the whole thing was a setup. Your men intercepted the convoy and killed Abraham. Why do all this when killing Abraham was never your intention?

Thakur : Look around you George. Now there are only two gangs in Mumbai. You've done my dirty work. By the way, this helps me in getting rid of Munna's without me getting any attention from the police.

George : Why now after almost 10 freaking years?!

Thakur : It's 'THE TASK' George. I want you to do it for me.

George : What makes you even think that I'll do it for you?

Thakur : I knew you would say that, 'THE BLACK VAN', this thing, it's so strong my men couldn't even open it. Something tells me that there is more than money in that. Now I've had it hidden where you can never find it. Come with my men. We'll discuss the rest in my base.

George is transported to Thakur's base by his men.......................................................

(in the base)

Thakur : Welcome George welcome. I had an of idea of doing things in a different way. By offering you a hell a lot of money, and making you do it by stealing away your money just like you did mine but when I wasn't sure how to convince you until I came across this mysterious black van. So, I am right. There's more to it than money, isn't it?

George : What is THE TASK Thakur?

Thakur : You do know RIAZ's identity has came out recently. You left the gang after that crisis. Now, he is the most wanted criminal around the globe and the police, Interpol are searching for him. My brother Riaz now has no businesses left. He needs to return to India and establish his new Network from here.

George : You transported the money to the ship for this purpose.

Thakur : Right. Now he will arrive at the Mumbai airport and you need to bring him safely to the given co-ordinates. How he reaches Mumbai avoiding the police has already been taken care off. Now you have your task.

George : But, I don't understand the risk in it.

Thakur : The Munna's, they got to know about my brother's arrival and have merged with the rivals to attack my brother on his way from the airport.

George : So, you have an informer in Munna's gang and they have one in yours. But, I just finished of Munna and his gang.

Thakur : Believe me. You have no idea about Riaz. He has many enimies. Munna kept in contact with each and every one of them. They merged and did plan an attack. My informer is still sure about attack because the men who will attack are already delivered with their weapons. Munna just initiated the attack, but the attack goes on whether Munna is alive or not. They're also ready with the attack plan it seems. This is the info I have from my informer. Now If you manage to do this, I will give you your money and extra money from the ship. What do you say? Deal?

George : Deal. But what would you do if this wouldn't work? I mean you asked me about this like a month ago.

Thakur : Month ago, I have no idea that these many people were involved. My informer told me about this like a week ago and I had to plan all this stuff myself. Now what idea do you have to bring my brother back home safely?

George : According to you, Let's call the group 'Syndicate', they can definitely identify Riaz.

Thakur : Yes they can. We are suspecting some of them might even be in the airport or worse could be travelling in the same plane.

George : So, there are a lot of loose ends your brother didn't tie properly.

Thakur : Yes.

George : Then it's time to make a plan.

After George has discussed the plan, he leaves.

Anthony : He does all this for a black van?

Thakur : The black van and what it consists inside is important. But he does for Abraham. Once he gets his hand on the black van, I am sure he will kill all of us. We need to dispose him once we aboard the ship.

Anthony : Yes boss.
