Sounds of church bells are ringing through a small town square. A bard is sitting at a nearby fountain strumming his instrument for the children running along the streets and passerby to hear his melody.
"Have you ever heard of the story of an axe gone wild?"
"Well ya better believe the tell I'm about to show you will drive you mad for more~"
"Open your ears and listen close! Turn away when things get bloody! But don't close your eyes when the details become real!"
---
Our story began at a small and humble village on an island far west off mainland. There's a young boy with bushy dark brown hair carrying an axe, he was eleven at the time only viewing the world through his father's eyes. Beside him was a spitting image of him but only more taller, older and beefier! He was like a mountain of a man with muscles that you would only dream of!
"BAHAHAHAHA! Son of mine! That's not how ye carry an axe!"
"Bahaha! If I could swing it then who's to tell that I'm carrying it wrong, father!"
"BAHAHAHAHA! No foolish son of mine would become a great man as your dad! If they couldn't even cut down a tree *grunt* in a single swing!"
Hector's dad, commonly known as Aaron, was a famous lumberjack in the land. He was married to a young noble girl one day after demonstrating his strength in saving her from a wild beast, got married and had 13 kids together. Hector was his 13th sons along the lines of great lumberjack. To demonstrate his strength, with just a single swing of his axe, a tree was easily cut and fell down on its back. But this isn't a normal tree mind you, it's one of the more well known trees for its hard lumber and it's what made the island so profitable for selling its wood.
*Thump*
The tree fell down gracefully without even a single branch broke.
"Heh, watch this father of mine! Haya!" Hector swung his axe with all of his might but it was a mere fraction of his father's but a cut was made and that was what made him puff up his chest proudly.
"BAHAHAHA! A cut like that wouldn't even get through its trunk!" Even though the things he said was harsh to his own flesh and blood, he still patted the boy on the head and scuffled up his hair as the two laughed.
"We're back mother!"
"Welcome back you two~ How's your day?"
"Oh it was fun mother! I was this close to chopping down my first tree!"
"Oh yeah? Sounds nice!"
"BAHAHAHAHA! He ain't cutting down a single tree any day now!" Aaron was known as a loving husband but he couldn't hold his boundaries when he was at home with his wife.
"Tch, hey dear! Stop grabbing my butt like that! Hector is here..."
"BAHAHAHAHA! So what? Listen here son of mine! If you wanna get a woman of your own then you have to be bold and strong and to protect her at all cost!"
"I know father! You kept telling me about how you and mother met!" Hector was the only one who still hadn't left home while Aaron's other sons have traveled across multiple lands some were even married to noble daughters.
"Now you two, get in the bath! Dinner is ready~"

Things were all warm and cozy for this family until one day...
Hector and his father were out in the forest chopping down trees when a sudden gust of wind blew towards them with howls and screeches that would make one's ear bleed. Noticing this, Aaron covered his son's ears with his hands.
"Huh? Father, what's wrong?" When Hector looked up to his father, his eyes were darken and his ears bleeding. When the screams were over, he removed his hands "Damn Banshees!" Aaron the swung his axe at the charging ghost with the appeal of a woman, slicing it in two, "Not today you're not!" He swung again and sliced through another one.
"F-Father?"
"Get back to yer mother now, son! I'll handles things haiya! Things here!" With that Hector didn't flinch anymore and nodded. He ran back without looking back as the sounds of ripping flesh could be heard but none were screams of pain, reassuring him that his father is fine.
When he ran back, what before him was not that lushest green field he used to remember and run through the streets of the village. But it was filled with red fire spreading throughout the entire village, engulfing it in grey smoke. Hector quickly ran towards his home. Trying to remember what his warm house was like before seeing it in shambles and swallowed up by the flames. He was confused of why all of this had happened so suddenly. But as he looked around, he started to see that the village was invaded by Orcs. Tall green man holding wooden clubs. Hector saw one of his neighbours was about to get killed but he jumped in and with a swing of his axe, he cleanly cut off one of his arms as it fell down to the ground. The man bowed before running away as Hector ran towards his house again.
Upon entering his home the door broke off immediately. And what was in front of him was something he couldn't look away. His mother was being raped on the kitchen counter by an Orc as she screamed in pain by its monstrous green c*ck while feeling pleasure at the same time. Seeing this, all Hector could do was screamed in rage as he charged forward with a red glow covering him. Hearing his war cry, the Orc turned back and squatted him away like a fly before returning to his enjoyment. Hector's mom couldn't even see him as she was busy moaning and crying tears of agony. Hector, did not lay down but rose up again but this time his eyes went red and his body was covered in a faint red glow. He stepped forward, crushing the wood beneath him as he took his axe in hand, the Orc looked back but it was too late as the young Hector disappeared and the Orc's head was suddenly cut cleaned off as its body fell to the ground while his mom pulled it out as she laid restlessly on the counter breathing heavily. She then collapsed from the exhaustion as Hector was nowhere to be seen.
Seconds... Minutes... Hours even had already passed as the noble sent in reinforcements with his brothers riding on their horses. The smoke and fire from the village houses were all cleaned. They were baffled by the amount of corpses while some of them were the town's folks but most of them were all from the invading Orcs. The brothers immediately then rushed to their birth house. As they saw the remaining villagers all grouped up together forming a refugee camp of sort with their mother sleeping. They sighed but when they asked what had transpired here, the villagers could only praise the young Hector's name for saving them.
"He cut down the Orc in a single swing!" One said, "I saw it! He saved me but took quite a heavy blow" said another, "Yet against all odds, he stood up again and again! Even if blood was pouring from his head!"
Those had confirmed what they expected but the brothers didn't see their father so they quickly rode their horses to the forest. Only to see a sorrowful sight... The young Hector was burying his own father with heavy eyes that was either closed or opened from exhaustion. They mourned that day for not coming home sooner, Hector didn't blame anyone but for himself. His mother soon became sick after that. Yet his mother said to him that he still got a life so go and find someone you love. He of course listened and soon fell in love with a beautiful maiden. But he wasn't satisfied, he lived a dull life in the mansion with his wife. One day he visited his mother's house when his mother said "Why are you sad, my dear?" He shook his head reassuring that everything was fine. He was already a father, what could have he wanted more? That was until a couple of adventurers came to town telling stories of far stronger monsters and the fun they had together. It was what drove Hector's curiosity... to go out to the outside world. Seeing this, his brothers all decided that they would have him go on that very adventure, discovering new people, foods and lands! Hector declined the offer but his brothers insisted him and they all said that they would protect his home while he was away for it was also their home as well. After having one last night with wife and children, he set off to the great unknown!

"And that concludes our story, kids... When you're protecting your love ones, make sure that you have the strength necessary to do it! And more importantly, have fun while you can~"
"Woowww!" The children all gapped their mouth open.
*Bonk*
"O-Ouch!"
"What do you think you're doing?"
"H-Hey sister of the church! Well I'm just-"
"No just here! Get out! Our kids will get tainted by your bloody tales!"
"O-Okay! I'm going now, okay? But listen kid! Hector is still alive and he's probably out adventuring with his team 'The Trojan Horse'! I would know because he saved me an- Ye-ouchhh!!"
"I said to get away from our church!"
