Chapter 36: Preparations

Chapter 36: Preparations

“Okay, that’s enough of that you two.” Laulaia’s voice slowly snapped my mind back into focus, as Alaina finally stopped her endless assault on my pleasure centers. “We need to make plans for tonight.”

“Of course, my lady.” Assuming her normal sitting position, up as if nothing had happened, Alaina was all bright smiles and cheer again this morning. “Here,” she said, beaming brightly as she held her wet and sticky fingers out to me, “lick these off.”

“Of course, my lady.” Still dazed and trying to catch my breath, I didn’t even try to refuse, as I exhaustedly sucked my own salty, bitter juices from Alaina’s fingers. I still had no idea exactly why I had to go through this type of hell, but at the moment, I just didn’t have the energy to care. Even though I was still just as sensitive and aroused as before, at least now there wasn’t anyone actively stirring those emotions until they exploded. I was horny, and I couldn’t quit squirming, but at least I could still keep my mind and think – that goes a long way!

“So, when we leave this evening, we’re going basically two paths we can choose from, to get to our goal,” Laulaia told us. All business, she didn’t pay the slightest bit of attention to how drenched in sweat I was, or how exhausted I felt. “The first route is the longest,” Laulaia told us, “and it requires us to backtrack to the city entrance, go out it, and then circle around the edge of the town, until we find the path to the graveyard. It’s longer, but from what the Lady of Life says, it’s the easiest to follow, with no chance of us getting lost.

“The other route,” Laulaia said, sitting down beside the pool, and dipping her fingers in the water, “takes us through the city, and we’d have to scale the wall again.” Using the water on her fingers, she drew a rough outline on the floor for us to see. “The problem here is exactly where we cross the wall at. The cemetery we need to find is rather small, and we could spend several hours wandering in the swamp looking for it, if we get on the wrong path.

“I’d suggest we take the longer way around, at least for tonight,” Laulaia suggested, “until we get more familiar with what we’re looking for and where we’re going. I’d hate to spend a whole night going in circles in the swamp, looking for the place, and then have to go the long way to it tomorrow just because we couldn’t find it.”

“That sounds fine to me,” Alaina agreed, once again being the instant yes-man which she was. I suppose she was finally content that I’d cleaned her fingers enough, as she slowly pulled them away from me and leaned with her wrists back upon her ankles. For all that I found the position awkward and slightly uncomfortable, Alaina seemed to be relaxing while making herself completely available and visible.

Laulaia paused a moment to see if I was going to say anything. When I didn’t, she simply nodded her head to herself and moved on, undisturbed. “Then since that’s settled, I need to tell you both about the dangers that we’re going to be facing – or at least the ones which the Lady has chosen to tell me about.

“First,” Laulaia sighed, “the one who’s facing the greatest danger at the graveyard will be Stef.”

Of course it will be! I’m always the one who gets screwed over!

“The Lady of Life wanted to make certain that we were aware of the dangers for Stef,” Laulaia explained, frowning deeply. “The dead are drawn to the essence of life, and no one holds any more life than one of the Daughters of Life. They draw on her essence. Use her energy. It saturates their body, and they become beacons which draw the dead. If you think of the dead as a moth, then a normal person would be a candle flame,” Laulaia warned, grimly, “and one of the Daughters of Life is a lighthouse.”

“So, they’re going to try and eat me?” Honestly, I really don’t think I’m too surprised over it. It’s just the way my luck has been going, in this new world.

“They are,” Laulaia confirmed, biting her lower lip, in concern. “Even to the point of walking past me and Alaina so they can attempt to get to you,” she stressed. “And honestly, I don’t know of anything we can do to get around that,” Laulaia sighed. “I’d considered letting you stay behind, since you’re going to be a magnet for the dead, but we may need your ability to heal, or remove poisons or disease, if Alaina or I get hurt out there.

“Taking you increases the number of opponents we’ll face,” Laulaia sighed. It was obvious she was completely stressed over the situation, from the way she was furiously twirling and tugging on her hair. Normally a source of pride to be treasured for her, she was currently splitting ends and breaking it, like there was no tomorrow.

“And yet, leaving her behind increases the chance of one of us getting seriously hurt,” Alaina finished.

“Are the dead slow moving, or runners?” I asked, thinking about the various movies and stories I’d heard about the dead in my own world. In some tales, they lumbered and could barely shuffle around. In others, they ran like lightning and swarmed like rats fleeing a sinking ship. The first may not be so hard to deal with, but the other could definitely prove fatal to us, if I was as strong of a dead-magnet as Laulaia had portrayed. Honestly, I hope she’s just over-reacting, for a case of, “better safe than sorry.”

“The Lady of Life said they were mainly just skeletons now. Brittle and worn, faded by the sun and time, with only the essence of evil to hold them together,” Laulaia told us. “After all these years, the magic should be fading from most of them, so they should be slow and mindless – simply drawn towards the greatest source of life near them. For ages, that life has been the amulet we’re going to retrieve, but now it’s going to be you.”

“The biggest problem shouldn’t be the ones on the surface,” Laulaia fretted, “but the ones down in the tomb itself. Those won’t be as weathered by sun and element, so the corruption will be stronger on them. They’ll likely to be faster and may even possess some rudimentary intelligence, and our room to move and maneuver is going to be a lot smaller and cramped than upon the surface.

“What I fear the most,” she admitted, “is that we may end up surrounded by the dead once we open the tombs. If any wander in behind us, and we run into trouble from the front, we may find ourselves in grave danger rather quickly, and I don’t know of any way to prevent that from happening.”

“Then we’ll just have to make certain we clear the surface of all the dead possible,” I told her, forcing myself to ignore the ever-growing itch between my knees. “We still have eight days to get the full reward. Instead of trying to push forward and get everything done in one night, we should probably simply use tonight to scout out the overall situation. Tomorrow and the day after, we’ll try to come up with a plan to clear the surface as much as possible, and then go from there. If necessary, we can spend another couple of days to put the dead down, and yet have three days to explore the tomb; and if it’s not, that just gives us a little extra time to move slowly and explore fully as we go. After all,” I said, hopefully, “if an amulet survived all these years, maybe something has as well, that we can make use of.”

“I guess that’s about the best we can do, with as little as we currently know,” Laulaia agreed. Yawning, she stretched heavily and then gracefully stood up and started pacing around. “Alaina, you’ll need to make certain we have all the supplies and stuff that we need, and fix our meals for us today. I’m going to work on using my magic to shape and retool some of our supplies, and rest in the pool as much as possible.”

“Of course, my lady.” Saluting with her hand across her breast, Alaina bounced up and started gathering all our supplies into one pile to sort them.

Feeling kind of forgotten, I sat and waited several moments, before asking, “And what about me?”

“You just sit there and relax for now,” Laulaia told me, as she pulled large piles of raw cotton from out of her ring. Over the last week, or more, I’d grown a lot of cotton and Alaina had picked it. Apparently, Laulaia was going to try and see if she could make some use out of it with her magic, finally.

“Just have some fun, lean back, and entertain yourself,” Alaina laughed, seeing Laulaia wasn’t going to say anything else. “You like playing with boobs,” Alaina smirked, “so here’s your chance to really enjoy them. Keep one hand busy with those, and your other hand busy with your bottom, and don’t stop until somebody tells you to.” Shockingly enough, she seemed to be enjoying herself, bullying me.

“My… My Lady Laulaia?” Turning my eyes over towards Laulaia, they pleaded for her to tell me I didn’t have to do any of that – that I needed to just relax and sleep instead.

“What?” Looking up from what she was doing, she didn’t even seem to have heard a word of Alaina’s exchange with me.

“Do… do you really want me to do that?” Alaina had mentioned that she hadn’t been herbed, because Laulaia wasn’t going to give for free that which she didn’t have to. I figure the same logic applied here – I’m Laulaia’s slave right now. There’s no reason for me to just listen to Alaina, when I don’t have to.

“Do what?” Puzzled, it was obvious Laulaia really hadn’t been paying any attention to us.

“I’d gave Stef a few simple orders,” Alaina told her, smirking almost evilly. “She’s just wondering if she has to listen to me.”

“Oh, that.” Waving her hands dismissively, Laulaia shrugged it off as a non-issue. “Of course, she should. By any way you look at it, you come first. You were my life-servant, even before we met Stef. You agreed to wear the shackles first. I put the shackles on you first. There’s no way to view it, except you’ve got precedence.”

“Stef,” Laulaia turned, staring directly at me. “From now on, you listen and follow whatever order Alaina gives you,” she commanded. “I’ve got work to do, so don’t bother me with such petty problems anymore.”

“Of course, my lady.” Sighing, I hung my head, completely defeated once again. Already, I could feel that magical compulsion as my hands and fingers started to move on their own.

Considering the situation settled, Laulaia turned back to concentrate on her magics and the ring before her, as Alaina casually strolled over and kneeled down beside me. Leaning over, she half chuckled into my ear, before gently biting it. “Well, how’d that work out for you,” she whispered, tauntingly.

When I didn’t say anything in response, Alaina half purred in my ear and licked inside it several times.

“I don’t blame you for trying to get out of doing what I told you too,” Alaina whispered, softly, “but you’ll just have to understand that I can’t let you get away without listening, without some sort of punishment right?”

“I… I understand,” reflexively, I whispered back, certain that any other answer would just be asking for more trouble.

“Since this is the first time,” Alaina purred, “I’ll be nice and keep it simple, with two easy tasks for you. First, just make certain to rub those nips and keep them stiff and fully erect all day. Got it?”

Nodding slightly, I didn’t say anything. Honestly, with as sensitive and herbed as my nipples and breasts are, that should actually be a very easy task to accomplish.

“Good,” Alaina giggled lightly, gently kissing and biting all across my left ear. “And second, all you have to do is keep working your fingers in and out of both your front and back all day. Start with one side, go in and out a dozen times, and then reach around to the other side and do the same. Got it?”

Once again, I simply nodded slightly, too shocked to say anything at all. Part of me had always worried that rich little spoilt Laulaia might be an overly domineering taskmaster, but never once had I imagined this side of Alaina. She’s always been so meek. So mild. So submissive! Yet, here it was, Laulaia was basically just ignoring me, while it was Alaina who was going out of her way to enjoy herself bullying me.

I could honestly hardly believe it!

----------------------------------------

How long I stayed like that, I honestly don’t know. Logic says it couldn’t have been more than one day, but my mind and body felt as if I’d been stuck squirming and entertaining myself for ages. Time slowed to a crawl, then stopped completely, even if my fingers never did. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve – those few words became my whole existence, as I counted to a dozen over and over, constantly switching from one womanly hole to the other, over and over, endlessly.

My mind was so numb, and my body so lost in arousal, that I didn’t even stop when Alaina came over and nudged me with her foot, commanding, “Get up, it’s time to go.” Instead, my emotionally overloaded mind struggled to get up – compelled by the magic of the neck collar – while my fingers continued on, and my mind forced itself to keep steady count.

“Looks like little Stef is learning good,” Alaina bragged to Laulaia, smacking me gently across the ass. “I don’t think she’s going to be too difficult to train,” she laughed.

“That’s good.” Smiling softly – my idled mind couldn’t tell if it was a sad smile, or a happy one – Laulaia gave me a gentle thumb’s up. “But you can quit that for now Stef. We’re getting ready to head out for the night.”

Nodding slightly, all I could do is stare rather blankly forward, as my arms dropped to rest limply by my side. I was exhausted – both physically and mentally – and all I really wanted at the moment was to simply fall over and pass out.

“Heal yourself,” Alaina ordered, seeing me sway exhaustedly, just standing there. “You’ll need enough energy to be able to run, if worst comes to worst,” she reminded me.

“Lady of Life, please heal your poor child.” I was so tired, I couldn’t even curse Casper at the moment! Hell, to be honest, I couldn’t even remember what name I called her by at the moment, which is why I reflexively used the same one the two girls offer up with such respect all the time.

Part of me was surprised when the soft pink glow leaked out of my fingers, washing away my fatigue and clearing my mind. I’d almost expected the goddess to refuse to answer a slave’s request, but yet, irrefutably, she had. It took no longer than a few seconds, and the aches, pains, and fatigue left my body, leaving me feeling well rested and refreshed.

“We’re ready now,” Alaina informed Laulaia, saluting once again with her hand across her heart.

“Then let’s head out,” Laulaia laughed, motioning for Alaina to lead the way. “The sooner we start this hunt, the sooner we can get on with our lives and get our man back.”

“Our man-toy, you mean,” Alaina corrected, rushing up the steps towards the surface; Shadow barking and chasing happily behind her.

“Yes, our man-toy,” Laulaia agreed, swaying over to wrap an arm around my back. Reaching down, she firmly squeezed my ass and held it, as we started walking side-by-side up the steps after Alaina.

Sighing, I didn’t say anything, and just hung my head submissively. One of Laulaia’s first orders was that I couldn’t complain while she was my master, and it was still heavily in effect. All I could do is basically what I was told for now, and pray that I’d get my freedom back come Spring.

Whether she’d meant to, or not, Alaina had deeply instilled a massive fear in my heart that I might be stuck like this forever.
