Chapter 8 - Remmy the Elf

An irresistible beauty of roar echoed through the forest. Freakishly intense aura followed by the gust of wind appeared dreadfully. The clump of bushes shook in terror as a shadowy figure beast took place.

Everyone was left petrified. A glamorous beast emerged with an intimidating atmosphere. It has gorgeous fur with blue and black stripes with a hint of white. The creature held a dangerous ambience that stopped everyone in their track.

The elves party except one had a slight panic on their expression. However, they all readied themselves with conviction. The handsome elf didn't show any sign of alertness, just annoyance.

The creature was placed in-between Kara and I with the elves party until it took notice of Kara. Kara was peeking at the creature while hiding beside me. The presence of the creature didn't make her scared, rather it made her happy.

The creatures moved slowly to Kara. She left my side as she hugged the creature passionately. The creature was roughly two times bigger than me. However, I didn't feel a single malice or animosity towards me or Kara.

"Mr. Tiger! You're alive!" Kara hugged the creature playfully as it gave an adorable purr.

Kara rubbed the blue and dark fur with happiness in her expression. The tiger's size encompassed Kara's petite body. Its ears were twitching with a hint of playfulness as Kara continued to hug the big cat.

"That tiger..." The handsome elf muttered angrily.

The appearance of the blue tiger halted the elves' attack. Yet, one elf in particular continued his advance. It's the tall elf wielding a gigantic sword with a ferocious muscular body. The tiger noticed the tall elf running towards Kara at full speed. It let go of Kara's hug and stared at the elf with a defensive stance.

Kara slowly walked back towards my side as the tall guy prepared to take a swing with his sword. He aimed at the tiger guarding us. The tiger cried out an intimidating roar as its opponent drew closer.

The tall elf took a heavy swing towards the tiger. However, the momentum of the swing was ended by the tiger biting the sword ferociously with its sharp teeth. Nevertheless, it didn't discourage the tall elf from continuing to keep swinging his sword.

"Charge! Follow clay!" The handsome elf took a stance as the other elves ran towards our direction.

The elves held their weapons tight as they ran. Two elves stayed within the back of the party. They grabbed their bows as they took aim. The arrows left their hands as it headed towards me and Kara. I took precaution of the elves' attack by setting up an invisible barrier.

Just before the arrows flew midway its trajectory, a powerful gust of wind blew away the arrows. The two archers looked surprised for a moment. They kept on releasing a barrage of arrows. This time, a tiny charge of electricity could be seen from the barrage of arrows. Nevertheless, all of the arrows were stopped by a wall of vines that suddenly sprung out.

With the sudden appearance of the wall, the party took a sudden halt. The elves with wooden staff took a stance. A ray of fire flowed out from their staff as it flew away towards our location. A dangerous substance to be fired in the middle of a forest.

"Enough!" A lone voice could be heard from a distance.

A blast of wind completely nullified the fire without a trace. The entire elves party stopped on their track as they observed their surroundings with caution. The tall elf stopped his attack on the tiger as he took a step back while regrouping with the elves party.

I could hear a rustling sound from the bushes from behind me. I glanced back to see an alluring presence of a ravishing woman elf walking towards us. Her appearance looked like she was in her twenties. The handsome elf clicked his tongue at the entrance of the ravishing elf.

"Lady Remmy, you're alive!" Kara exclaimed in excitement.

Kara waved her hand towards the stunning beauty. The elf woman replied back by waving her hand with a smile. The handsome elf had a frustrated expression in his eyes as he witnessed their interaction with a frown.

The blue tiger gave a cute purr at the elf woman's appearance. Its tail wiggled in an excited manner.

"Are you gonna stop us again, you traitor? You disgraced our kingdom!" The handsome elf readied his sword with hatred in his eyes.

The elf woman sighed at the handsome elf's words. She stared at him with annoyance.

"Disgrace? You disgraced yourself! Since when did the moral code of elves allow themselves to torment such an innocent little girl?" The elf woman glanced at the handsome elf with disgust.

The elf woman turned cheerfully towards Kara as she smiled.

"Good morning, Kara. I'm glad you're okay, I'm sorry for leaving you behind" The elf woman greeted Kara with a charming smile. She completely ignored the angry grunts of the elves.

"Lady Remmy, I can finally meet you again!" Kara said as she rushed towards the elf woman.

She hugged the elf woman affectionately. The magnificent size of the woman's boobs were enough to engulf Kara's small face. I saw the entire scene with a smile as the elf woman hugged back Kara's petite body cheerfully.

The elf woman's lack of clothing made the entire interaction a somewhat lewd scene.

"L-lady Remmy. I ca-can't breathe" Kara said.

As soon as the elf woman heard that, she let go of Kara immediately. Kara breathed in relief as she regained her dull expression from lack of oxygen.

The elf woman tilted her head in wonder as she turned at me. Kara saw the elf woman expression with excited eyes.

"Lady Remmy, this is Miss Yuzu. She saved me after I escaped through the forest." Kara introduced me to Remmy with a cheerful attitude.

If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.

Remmy stared at me with a curious look. I could only smile awkwardly. She observed a particular tree branch beside her. A small cat was sitting on top of the tree branch lazily as it licked its paws.forest of shi

"My cat spirit found both of you at the forest of shi. She reported that you two were coming to visit, so I prepared some feast. I didn't expect these pests to bother you though." Remmy sighed weakly as she stared at the elves party.

The handsome elf scowled at Remmy's remark. He stared at the blue tiger and the cat that was sitting on top of a nearby tree branch.

"Always with the cats. You're cursed, Remmy. You don't deserve Goddess Lily's blessing!" The handsome elf yelled.

His behavior and tone was akin to teenagers from earth. Yet, his pointy ears suggested that he was older than any humans on earth that ever lived.

"You're too childish, Gray. Is this how the prince of the great elven kingdom should act? Didn't our ancestors agree to protect the mouse tribes just like how their nation used to protect us?" Remmy said with a hint of sadness in her voice.

Remmy patted Kara's hair with great emotion. The handsome elf stared blankly with a bored look in his eyes.

"Times have changed, Remmy. Their nation had fallen. They had nothing left to offer. However, their blood could be our key to win the next great demon war!" The handsome explained with a crazed look in his eyes.

"You're insane, Gray. The mouse tribes had protected us from the last great demon war. Is this how you will pay them back?" Remmy responded with an angry expression. Her eyes were brimming wildly with a hint of rage.

"You don't understand, old hag. The elves were chosen by the Goddess Lily as the superior race. We're the savior of this world from the demon's invasion. Those remaining rats should be grateful for being able to serve our kingdom" The handsome elf gave his spiel passionately as the party behind him listened. He turned towards Kara's direction. "Especially you, Mouse Princess!"

Kara shrunk with fear. Remmy took notice as she calmed Kara with a gentle pat. She rustled her hair around with an elderly sister vibe. Kara brightened up as she smiled.

"Goddess of life didn't choose us, Gray. She saved us from extinction. However, that doesn't mean she favored us from any other races. Goddess Lily doesn't discriminate with races, she saw all life as equal, just like the Goddess of Death." Remmy's speech was completely disregarded by the handsome elf as he gave a rude and ignorant expression towards Remmy.

The handsome elf behavior made Remmy sighed in disbelief. It seemed like there was nothing that could change the handsome elf mind. He grabbed his weapon as he prepared to give an order.

Remmy readied herself as the blue tiger roared in eagerness as it walked gracefully towards Remmy's side.

"Miss Yuzu, right? Could you please run and take Kara somewhere safe? I'll handle them myself," Remmy said confidently.

I took a moment before answering. I glanced towards Kara. Her eyes were watery. Pale expressions started to engulf Kara's face the moment she heard Remmy's suggestion.

"Lady Remmy, p-please don't leave me again." Kara begged with a scared expression in her eyes.

The elves party doesn't seem to care about the little mouse conversation as they run forward. They screamed a battle cry intensely with a rough look on their expression.

The tall elf and the handsome elf led the party with elegance as they charged with a strategic formation.

"Don't worry. Unlike before, there's only a handful of them. I'll finish this in a moment, just follow Miss Cat's direction for now. I'll catch up later." Remmy assured Kara with a lovely smile.

In just a flash, Remmy and the blue tiger entered the battlefield with a determined look. Remmy didn't bring any weapon as she walked. She simply chanted a few spells that blew up the elves' strategic formation. The magician elves at the back of the party tried to counter Remmy's spell. However, it proved to be a futile attempt.

The blue tiger stopped the tall elf from advancing with its sharp teeth. Remmy and the blue tiger made sure no one could pass their defense.

Kara simply stood in silence as she watched. She made no effort to run away. Her teary eyes were visible. She tried to run towards the chaotic battlefield right before I stopped her.

"What do you want to do, Kara?" I asked.

Kara had an impatient look in her eyes as she saw the battle before her. Explosions could be heard everywhere from in front of us. Stray arrows flew out towards the random direction of the forest.

Remmy sometimes glanced back at Kara. The handsome elf didn't miss his chance as he immediately gave his sword a powerful swing each time Remmy got distracted from Kara.

The party held a significant number of elves. Even then, not a single one manages to get past Remmy and the blue tiger.

Every time Remmy tried to dodge or cast a spell to defend herself, she had a slight frown with her mouth. She sometimes winced in pain after she moved rapidly.

"I-it's my fault. She rescued me from the elven kingdom. S-she fought with the entire elven warriors just to save me. She let herself be bait as I e-escaped through the Forest of Shi. I-I don't want that to happen again!" Kara cried out with tears. She continued. "She was wounded by the elven army to protect me."

I tried to calm her down by hugging her. She hugged me back as she watched Remmy fighting the elf prince and his companion. She's only ten years old, yet she had way more arduous and difficult life than me.

Remmy's movement became slower each moment. Her eyes glanced at me for a split second, begging me to take Kara away.

"Take this, old hag!" The elf prince took a powerful slash with a hint of magic from the blade.

The sun was bright. There was no hint of rain that could be felt from the cloud. Nevertheless, an overpowering lightning fell down towards the ground, striking down the handsome elf.

"It's rude to insult a woman's age, you know!" I yelled at the almost unconscious prince elf. Although Remmy might be hundreds, or even thousand years old. She was just too beautiful and pretty to be called 'old hag'.

"W-what... did you do...?" The prince elf questioned with a burnt expression from the lightning.

"Oh, that? I just summoned a lightning, that's all," I said with a humble tone.

The entire forest was stunned by my answer. After the lightning struck, everyone stopped fighting. They were petrified by the deafening sound of the lightning hitting the ground without any warning.

"Whoa... I didn't know a cat tribe could do that," Remmy muttered in amazement.

I tilted at her words in confusion. That is, until I looked down towards my cat hooded pajamas. Perhaps she mistook me as a catgirl.

"Remmy, I'm a human-" Just before I could finish my sentence, a ray of divine light appeared out of nowhere in the middle of the battlefield.

The white light with a hint of pink appeared with the shape of a flower. As the light shined stronger, it encompassed almost every part of the forest visible to the naked eyes.

Every wild creature from the forest gathered around with warm eyes. Bears, rabbits, wolves, and other forest fauna gathered with the light as the source of attraction.

Kara stared at the flower light with a curious look on her eyes. Remmy and the elves however, had an indescribable expression in their eyes.

A figure appeared from the light mysteriously. The animals of the forest bowed down at the appearance of the figure.

The light slowly started to dissipate, which made the figure clearer to see. A heavenly girl appeared from the source of the light. Everyone in the forest was left petrified.

The girl wore a dashing white and violet dress. Her eye color was different from each other. Her right eye had a light blue color while her left eye had a rosy pink color. Her long silky silver colored hair completed her divine look.

The girl observed her surroundings and smiled. Immediately, Remmy and the elves along with Kara kneeled with a sincere expression in their eyes.

The only one who didn't kneel was me. I could sense the elves, including Remmy, felt upset at the fact that I didn't kneel.

"Goddess Lily... The Goddess of Life..." Kara muttered.
