A single consciousness appeared. No one knew how it began, nor how it was realized. The consciousness continued orbiting the entire planet without any purpose. It had no shape, nor mind.
The planet wasn't rich in nature; it was devoid of life and essence. In any case, it was only a giant rock flying aimlessly as it followed its sun. The consciousness pondered around as it flew with incredible speed to follow the planet.
The planet felt void and bare. No water, no fire, not a single life. It was just a planet with no special attributes that would distinguish it from countless other planets out there.
Yet, the consciousness chose to reside there. Even after innumerable journeys and travel from outer space. No one knew how the consciousness began nor where did they come from. In the first place, the consciousness wasn't even aware of its own self. The intellect of the consciousness was simply less than a two years old baby human.
Months passed by.
The consciousness still flew over to orbit the planet as usual. Until one day, it fell down into the planet by accident. It crashed into a big portion of the planet's surface. Even though the consciousness was lacking in shape, it held an unimaginable power invisible to the naked eye.
A couple of splinters appeared from the consciousness, creating several figures of children that resembled humans. They grew up in the barren land without anything on it at all. However they didn't mind it. They were powerful enough to live on their own without any substances.
The children weren't very smart, no one had taught them anything. However, they were eloquent at creating their own languages. They had no views of the world. They were simply figures of children slowly learning about the empty barren land they were in.
Years passed by.
The children didn't grow up in appearance, they looked exactly like they were once born. One of the children was starving with entertainment, she was able to create water using her power she didn't realize she had. The children grew amazed at the child's action. She would soon be titled the Water Goddess by the planet's residents.
The planet was filled with a thick amount of mana, an important source of creating magic. This was the reason why the consciousness was orbiting this planet. The plentiful amount of mana coming out from the planet attracted the consciousness.
The children lived peacefully as they learnt to use their power. They were able to create many fascinating things to fill the world they were in.
Many years passed by.
They managed to fill the entire planet with abundance of nature. Nature started to shape the planet beautifully as the prominent form. Forest, caves, mountains and the ocean completely filled the planet completely.
The children were happy. They still took the figures of children. They hadn't grown up in appearance at all.
One child wasn't able to do anything, however. No matter what she does, she couldn't manage to create giant waves of water like his sister, or inferno ring of fire like his brother. All of the children had one or two things that they were good at, except her.
Nevertheless, the little girl didn't give up hope, it took her countless tries. In the end, she finally managed to make something. A small droplet of life, a squirrel.
Soon, she managed to fill the entire planet with animal life. Until one day, she managed to create an intelligent life that managed to create tools, and build homes of their own.
Centuries passed by.
Humans, elves, beastkins, dwarves and demons dominated the planet as they lived peacefully. They live in harmony among each other and manage to advance the technologies of their planet.
The children grew up slowly to be an adult in appearance. Their intellect increased as they grew more wisdom. They were worshiped as Gods and Goddesses by the residents of the planet.
The Gods and Goddess lived on a different plane of existence from the planet, as one of them discovered a way to enter another dimension different from the planet they were living on.
Only the Gods and Goddesses could enter the dimension without being torn apart from the abundance of dark energy coming from the dimension. The residents of the planet called this place as Aether Paradise, named after the God who discovered it, Aether.
The Gods and Goddesses only visit the planet occasionally. They preferred to live inside their new home, Aether Paradise.
Coming of age, some Gods and Goddesses married each other as they birthed more Gods and Goddesses in their realm. They lived happily.
Unlike other Gods and Goddesses, Lily visited the mortal realm quite frequently. As the mother of all life, she observed the life of her creation with great interest.
Lily couldn't create a great volcano, amazing sea or barren desert. She also couldn't teach her creation magic, how to farm, hunt, or blacksmith. Even then, the Gods and Goddesses respected her greatly, she was the only who managed to create life that could reproduce themselves to grow prosperous.
However, there was one thing Lily couldn't manage to fix with her creation, death. Every human she met was destined to die. Every mouse kin that ever touched her hand couldn't escape the cruel fate of dying.
Lily was displeased at her own self to let her creation die, however, she kept on telling herself that it was necessary. As long as they all lived happily, Lily thought.
Decades passed by.
Chaos started to ensue. After the Gods and Goddesses left the world, the residents of the planet were slowly corrupted by negative thought and emotion.
Discrimination of the races started to arise. The thought of their races as being the best grew common. They used to live happily as they shared a village with each other. However, they started to seclude and differentiate themselves based on race.
The demons lived among the harsh land that had barely any vegetation, however, the location was filled with abundance of mana.
The elves and beastkind familiarize themselves with nature as they lived in the deep forest filled with high level spirits and fauna.
The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
The dwarves lived inside the cave of a mountain, close with metals for them to use.
The humans built themselves a kingdom in the middle of a meadow. They planted seeds and grew livestocks to feed their people.
A few days passed by.
Disagreement and dispute grew intense among the elves and the catkins. These two were amongst the most prideful races along with humans. They argued with each other claiming a small waterfall near the border of their kingdoms.
The waterfall was filled with pure rich mana that could heal whoever consumed it, blessed by the Water Goddess. Instead of sharing, both elves and the catkins tried to claim the waterfall forcefully. Until finally one day, war broke out.
Lily ran towards the battlefield with intense speed. Her dress flailed around as she ran, however she couldn't care less about it. She was visiting the elven kingdom with a disguise until she heard about the war incident.
Blood filled the battlefield with great turmoil, by the time she got there, it was too late. The war had been won by the elves' kingdom. Countless lifeless bodies filled the forest with despair. The elves and catkins took their fallen soldiers with tears.
Lily could only watch the scene unfold with empty expression. She remembered the day when she was creating the elves and the demons. She tried so hard to create a life that could live as long as they wanted to, just like the Gods and Goddesses.
She didn't manage to create an immortal life, however she was able to create the elves that could live for hundreds of years, and the demons that could live for thousands of years.
All of that meant nothing to her considering the cause of death in front of her right now was war.
"H-help... me..." A small voice could be heard somewhere.
Lily rushed towards the source of voice. All of the elves and catkins left already, however they missed an injured person hidden behind a giant rock near the battlefield.
A young catkin was laying down as she tried so hard to make a noise, hoping someone could hear her.
Lily appeared in front of the young catkin with a blank expression. The catkin stared at her while her chest was stuck with a couple of arrows pierced by the elves. Lily held the catgirl's hand dearly.
"Miss Lily... I don't wanna die..." The catgirl said.
The catgirl recognized Lily from the painting and statue in her homeland. The Gods and Goddesses were painted and carved to be the object of worship by the residents of this world.
Live, Please! Lily thought. She was desperately using her power to keep the girl in front of her alive. Alas, that wasn't possible.
The catgirl soon lost its breath as the arrow lodged too deep into her heart. Lily simply watched the events without any emotional outburst. She simply stayed holding onto the catgirl corpse for a long period of time.
Lily got up, and started to dig a hole with her bare hand. Even though Lily was lacking in magic compared to her siblings, she was still a goddess. She could simply just open the ground with magic, but she still chose to dig it with her own hand.
A few hours passed by.
Lily's hands were covered in dirt, however, she couldn't care less. She gently laid down the catgirl's beautiful corpse towards the hole she just dug. She covered the hole with her own hands while her tears started to fall down.
With that, the burial was completed. Lily sat beside the grave with tears in her eyes. She simply sat there for minutes, hours, even days. She ordered the beasts and the monsters of the forest to protect her while she was mourning.
Lily lost the energy to move anymore. She simply sat there thinking what she had done. She created life to inhabit this beautiful world her brothers and sisters created. She thought she could make herself useful by creating lives that could self-improve themselves to create technologies, delicious meals, and tasty wine for her siblings and herself.
The potential of the dweller in this world was endless. Yet, only now did she realize that by doing that, she created suffering. She created lives that could kill other lives simply for their own interest.
"This was only the first war, who knows what would happen in the future..." Lily muttered.
Lily could sense the beasts around her attacking nearby folks around the forest, however, she couldn't care less. She was the one who ordered the beasts to attack anyone that came near her. She specifically ordered the beasts to not kill anyone, so it was all okay, she thought.
The people could no longer cross the forest that Lily resided in. Soon, the large forest area around Lily would be called The Forest of Shi, also known as The Forest of Death. The reason it was called that wasn't because the forest was deadly, but the fact that it was filled with dangerous beasts while having zero casualty for anyone that ever tried passing it.
Finally, Lily fell down as she laid down with her filthy dress. Her hair was full of dirt, while her arms and legs were filled with soil.
"What am I doing..." Lily thought.
Weeks passed by.
"Um... Are you okay?" Asked a cheerful young girl with adorable cat ears.
Lily stared at the young catgirl in front of her. Lily's position and appearance was shameful, but she couldn't care less anymore.
"Who... Are you? How did you come here?" Lily asked. She didn't just order beasts, she also ordered a couple of dragons to keep anyone out of her way. Yet, the girl in front of her didn't seem to be sweating even a little bit.
"Let's not sweat the minor details. Anyway, I've observed all of the lifeforms' DNA on this planet, and they're all connected to you." The catgirl smiled.
DNA? Planet? What is this girl talking about? Lily thought. For her, this planet was her whole world. The concept of planets was foreign to her, and everyone around her. The stars in the night sky were simply just a glitter light that was unreachable from her grasp. While occasionally some meteor hit the planet she resided in.
Lily had only lived on this planet after she was born after all, unaware of her origin that started from outer space.
"What do you want?" Lily asked. To her, the girl was wearing oddly looking clothes. The catgirl took something out of her pocket, it was rectangular shaped.
The girl scrolled the rectangular shape as it glowed with a picture of an adorable looking girl wearing a middle school uniform.
"Long in the future, this girl will be here, I just wanted her to feel welcomed. Anyways, bye!" The girl disappeared without any notice while leaving the rectangular shape glowing.
Lily stood up flabbergasted. She couldn't believe her eyes. The girl in front of her just vanished out of her vision. She carefully looked at the rectangular shaped stuff with curiosity.
The girl in the picture sparked a light inside Lily. She couldn't help but smile at the innocent looking girl wearing middle school uniform. The beauty inside the picture of the girl was something she had never seen before. She tried to touch the glowing rectangular stuff before a hand took it away from her.
"Don't touch my phone!" The catgirl from before came back as she snatched away the rectangular thing. She grabbed something else from her pocket. "Although, You can take this one." She said, before disappearing again, leaving a painting of the beautiful girl from before.
Lily stared at it with immodest eyes. She had never felt this before. Lily felt energetic, she left the Forest of Shi with a smile while taking the picture of the pretty girl.
Days passed by.
Lily still hadn't forgotten about the war of the elves and catkins. Their relationship kept going downhill. Even then, Lily wanted to give at least salvation to death itself, that was when she had the idea.
Lily took the picture to the best painter she could find in the elven kingdom. She introduced the picture girl as her sister and the Goddess of death, her job was to take the souls of those who had passed away as it reached the reincarnation cycle. She of course didn't forget to mention that her relationship with the Goddess of death was intimate.
Lily hoped with the existence of The Goddess of Death, people wouldn't face death with fear. It was a lie, however, Lily thought it was for the better. Even if it was a lie, if it would help people from being scared and frightened on their deathbed, then that would be enough.

A tiny creak sound could be heard from the door opening at the corner of my eyes. Kara was covering her eyes with her hands while her cheeks reddened.
I finally regained my consciousness after a flow of memories went through my mind. Lily's touch of lips were intensely connected with mine.
"Sorry for intruding!" Kara yelled while running off.
