Hú Jiao waits on the other side of the alleyway intently listening but maintains her distance for plausible deniability should it be deemed necessary. After all, that foreign woman was not only a Usonian woman but a blue-collar worker. If the Usonian news media found out about the incident it wouldn’t just end with a police report, but on the front-page news of a Usonian News Media outlet and quickly turn into an international scandal.
Hú Jiao frowns upon not hearing the sounds of violence or cries of a woman’s terror and pain from the alleyway. Hú Jiao carefully peeks around the corner to meet a glowing crimson gaze. Hú Jiao’s eyes go blank as a soft voice whispers into her ears, “Do you want revenge?”
“Yes,” Hú Jiao truthfully replied out loud.
“Then let me help, here stretch out your hand,” the soft, comforting voice whispered. Hú Jiao does as she is told as a cold metal item is placed into her hands.
Hú Jiao blankly stares at the firearm in her hands as the voice whispers, “Don’t you want to revenge or are you too scared? And if so, I’ll take it back, but you will lose your chance for revenge forever.”
Hú Jiao’s eyes narrow with hatred and steps into the alleyway. To her shock, Hú Jiao suddenly halts upon seeing four identical mirror images of that hateful woman fearfully standing in the alleyway. “What’s going on?!” Hú Jiao exclaimed as she took a step back.
“It’s just a test of your faith. You do want revenge, don’t you?” The voice whispered persuasively into Hú Jiao’s ears.
Hú Jiao takes a bold step forward and coldly says, “What do I have to do?”
“Pull the firing pin back and then pull the trigger. However, may I suggest you can take a few steps closer towards your targets to make sure you don’t miss. And remember to run once it’s done,” the voice persuasively recommended.
Hú Jiao takes several steps forward as instructed and fires. The first bullet hits one of the mirror images in the chest as the figure of that slut falls to the ground bleeding. Much more confident Hú Jiao maddingly fires the remaining bullets into the three other mirror images until zero bullets left in the chamber as only an empty clicking sound is heard.
All four targets are bleeding on the ground as Hú Jiao breathes with relish. Grinning with an evil smile, Hú Jiao hisses, “And that is what you get for touching a pure-bred Anatolia woman, you should have stayed in your own foreign land across the sea.”
Hú Jiao blinks remembers her savior’s voice instructing her to flee the scene of the crime. Hú Jiao rather dizzily drops her weapon onto the floor before turning to exit the alleyway. Not paying attention to her surroundings, before Hú Jiao can exit the alleyway she crashes into two figures wearing a blue police uniform.
Hú Jiao instinctively blinks with fear and slumps against one of the police officer’s. “I was cornered by vicious brute when suddenly a madman shot them in the alleyway and ran away! I didn’t see his face except that he was very tall!” Hú Jiao tearfully exclaimed in a rather believable way.

The young officer immediately says, “Of course, Miss, please come this way.”
However, the senior officer eyes the four corpses in the alleyway. The four men were all shot in the back and if so, it would fit with the woman’s statement. But there was just something that felt off to him. The senior officer turns towards the young woman and says, “Of course, but why don’t you accompany my partner to the police station?”
“To the police station?” Hú Jiao stiffly asked.
“Yes, we just need to have your statement for legal purposes,” the senior officer smoothly stated.
The senior officer remained behind to preserve the scene as intact while his partner took the witness to the police station. At the police station, the customary fingerprints were taken as well as a preliminary gun power sampling off of the young woman’s clothes and hands. After making the young woman comfortable in the interrogation room, the young detective waits outside of the interrogation room for the detectives to arrive.
Not long after the senior police officer arrives being accompanied by two Detectives, Detectives Guō and Mǎ. Detective Guō is the older partner out of the two, while Detective Mǎ, is the rising star in their department in their department. Detective Mǎ goes inside to interrogate the witness while Detective Guō remains watching on the other side of the dark glass mirror.
Detective Guō and Mǎ had already heard the senior police detective’s testimony and concurred that the young woman was lying. Not only that but preliminary fingerprints had returned as matching to the weapon and the dusting for gunpowder had come back as positive.
Detective Mǎ takes a seat and smiles at the terrified young woman, who looked so delicate that she couldn’t possibly hurt a fly. But appearances were deceiving, and any good cop knew that.
Detective Mǎ smiles kindly at the young woman immediately putting her at ease. Detective Mǎ kindly asks, “Miss Hú, could you tell us, what you were doing in the alleyway?”
Hú Jiao tearfully blinks and says, “I went in there to wait with a fellow co-worker as she made a phone call when that crazy gunman suddenly shot her down.”
Detective Mǎ blinks in confusion as Detective Guō leans forward to listen more intently as he peers through the glass into the interrogation room. “I’m sorry, I must have misheard you wrongly, but could you please repeat that again?” Detective Mǎ asked again.
“Reyn needed to make a phone call and I went into the alleyway to wait with her, when that gunman suddenly attacked us, saying something about, “Down with the capitalists!” Hú Jiao exclaimed.
Detective Mǎ opens the folder to make sure he hadn’t gone senile, but sure enough, there were no records of a foreign woman in the nearby vicinity or on the CCTV cameras. And nor were there any other female victims in the alleyway, much less a foreign woman. The only victims were four men in the alleyway all petty criminals. In fact, the prosecution would more than likely try this case as a self-defense case.
However, now everything was thrown off by the witness’s testimony. They needed her to testify about the illegal gun that one of the dead men was in possession of and which was tied to several open homicide cases. But at this rate, it would be impossible to connect this case to the other as the witness was turning to be rather unreliable.
Detective Mǎ opens the folder and shows the four images of the dead men and places them before her. “Miss Hú, can you please identify the dead for me?”
Hú Jiao turns away and sadly says, “Those are all images of my co-worker, Miss Reyn Mephistopheles.”
Detective Mǎ blinks and says, “Your co-worker?”
“Yes, it’s such a tragic case as she just recently transferred to our branch from Usonia as of a week ago,” Hú Jiao replied.
Detective Mǎ nods his head sagely and says, “Just a moment, Miss Hú.”
Hú Jiao innocently ducks her head to the head to the ground as an evil sneer appears on her face. At this rate, she would be let off by the detective. She would immediately flee the city and change her name. Not only would she never be found but would never be associated with the murder of that slut! And best of all, she would have had her revenge!
