A Magical Anomaly
Prologue 1:
----------------------------------------
Your arms hurt.
Your legs hurt.
Every muscle in your body feels like its tightening into the worst cramp in your life all at once for a split second as you hear a loud ringing in your ears.
In front of you, two large doors of solid obsidian sit, in front of your throne… or you think it's a throne?
Its always been a chair to you… you think?
The ringing in your ears makes it hard to think. And there's this glare in front of your eyes that's annoying to look at.
Its not white… like the sun. Its more… reddish?
Looking at it more, you start to notice that its less of a glare… and more human shaped?
Oh it's a girl?
But… why's she standing there?
Her clothing is ruffled and burnt. What might have been a cute red dress, adorned with cream and gold frills, is now a mere shell of its former glory. So ripped and battered that its barely managing to cover her modesty. Her hair is in a similar colour, a deep red, like the afternoon sun. You think it might have been free flowing… but you can see where the ends have been burned and cut, leaving it to hang at her shoulders instead of down to her back…
Why do you know that?
You shake your head, focusing on the girl. She's important… you know that.
Her skin is cut and bruised. Blood slowly dripping from a myriad of cuts across her exposed arms and legs. You notice the gloves she wears. A pink heart stitched into the back of her palm. She has a lot of hearts on her clothing actually. Each glove, each of her boots, even her chest has a small one over her right breast that shines like a crystal.
She reminds you of a magical girl. Like, one of those you'd always wanted to be…. Right?
Wait…
You wanted to be a Magical girl? Why? You don't remember wanting to be one… but you did?
Weird….
A few seconds pass in contemplation. It feels like a few seconds. But maybe it was more? Your vision blurs a little, and you feel something warm running down your forehead. You wipe it away, and find blood on your hand.
When you look back, the girl is still frozen in place, the raw pink light exploding from her body seeming to have frozen in place as well.
Yet despite the strange stillness, her eyes look at you. They look deep into you, a strong font of emotion. So much raw emotion that it hurts your head for a moment.
If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the violation.
You blink, and she's still glaring at you. But the light seems a little brighter now. The emotion is… heavy. There's no tears you don't think. She looks more determined than anything. Such raw determination and will, like a hero from a book.
Time seems to advance for a long, stretched, second as you watch her. The glow from her body growing brighter and brighter as she points a large double headed hammer at you. The light coalesces. A bright burning beam of energy searing towards you.
You want to flinch. To run away, hide from the fearsome power that surges towards you.
But you don't… that fear. That cowardly fear you've always hated recedes. You feel satisfied…
She's trying to hurt you…. But your satisfied?
Time slows again, just a little more, and you look down.
Your hands don't tremble. They don't move to shield you like you wanted them to a moment ago. Instead, they sit gently on your lap. They seem bigger then you remember. Your entire body seems bigger then you remember actually. Are you older now?
Ugh this is weird. You wish the ringing would die down so you could think. But it's a constant hum in the back of your mind that makes you wince.
You notice the blacks and purples on your dress. A small witches hat on your head. Two black gloves… no. One is black, the other a deep blue. Small specks of gold stream down your dress like embers from flame. Your dress transitions from cloth to what looks like hundreds of small clock hands at its end. All held together by a thin, almost ethereal looking wire.
The beam gets closer, so close its luminance is blinding.
The girl says something, you reply back, her glare is gone, and she seems almost… annoyed. And then hopeful.
The world snaps into focus, a thousand points of sensory information overloading your groggy mind as your eyes dart open and your body rockets up off the soft bed.
You clutch your head as your brain rattles around in your skull. A rhythmic pounding in your head as you slowly blink away the tears. Your nose is runny, a bit of blood dripping from it and onto the sheets as you groan.
Your hand reaches for a tissue and you freeze.
Who are you again?
Your hands shake at the question.
You feel an icy fear slowly creep into your mind.
Who are you?
Who are you?!
Wh-
And then your calm again. No longer afraid. No… its still there, the fears always there. But you don't need to focus on that for that.
The dull black box in front of you is probably a better thing to focus on. Right yes. You can deal with the existential crisis of amnesia or whatever this is after dealing with the annoying box in your vision.

Hello me/you/us?
Look it doesn't matter.
You're probably confused as fuck right now! Isn't that great?
No, no its not I know, you're me. Or you were me? You will be me?
Eh, don't be me. I'm a bitch. Or you were a bitch? will be?
Magics weird. Times weird. Magic and time together are weird.
Look point is, Hi, hello, This is your past/future/ maybe not even you, here to tell you that you're back in time. Why?
Because we fucked up. Like big uff, shouldn't have done that, maybe should try again fucked up.
Uh right. Maybe this doesn't make sense.... sorry, haven't really had anyone to talk to other then well... me for like a long while.
So... magic is real. Magical girls are real. Creepy/Cute magical girl familiar things are real. Yeah crazy I know.
Now, assuming you're not just a pile a dust because I screwed up this spell, you should be back in time at some point.
I tried to aim about a month or so before things got... hectic. But eh, Batty's kinda useless with his whole Show don't Tell schtick.
You decide to ignore the two pages or ranting and complaining. Quickly scrolling down the every growing box of complaints...

God I need to get out more.
Anyway, don't have much time. Azure Blue and Argent Red are currently trying to break down our barrier and I doubt they'll take much longer to realize they need to use their whole "Power of Friendship" gimmick to actually get past it... god why don't we get such a broken cheat thing!
Another page of ranting... wow... old/future you was weird.

Sorry, got distracted again. Anyway. What I need you to do is simple. We need to be a villain~ Like we've always wanted to!
Not one of those cheap knock off idiots who're only there for cheap tension. No no. We need to bring out the good stuff from the Magical's~ You know.~ All those wonderful, heavy emotions~ Magical's get stronger the stronger their emotions are. So we need to make them stronger. And nothing makes a Magical Girl better then a competent villain! Or a strong one. Hopefully you're both but eh, I kinda nuked your memories so that's a big if. Easier if you don't remember all the horrible shit thats happened in the past year or so.
Oh look! The red bimbo broke through! Finally!
Ah shit wait, that means I have less time for this. Uh short version go.
Wait... what do I say. Uhh.... We're called Fillia. Fillia Solthoth. Yes, all Eldritchly I know. Blame mum, she thought it was cool and dad rarely says no to her. Uh... if I sent you back right, everyone should still be alive. Mum, dad, Lilla.
Oh... right! Hey! Important point! Whatever happens do-
You blink for a moment in surprise. Trying to flick the box up and read the rest. But it stubbornly refuses to move. You want to say that its annoyingly convenient for the box to stop there... really you do. Your life's not some anime... It's not right? How do you even know what anime is? Is this selective amnesia? Nope, nope. Think about it later. Right now you need to... [ get a look at yourself. You don't even remember what you look like. ]
