You shake your head as you leap over a jagged plate on the Centurions arm, switching out [Grendel’s Arm] for [Curtana] in a moment of thought.

The sonic weapon melts into view once more and you line up a shot on the main bulk of the Centurion.

You go to pull the trigger, but have to let go before you can fully depress it, the hum winding down as you weave around a lance of light that threatens to pierce your own chest.

The barrage is fast, a rainstorm of glowing white projectiles that stab into the arm of the Centurion as it tries to shake you off. A deep mechanical shrill sounding like an enraged cry as a shadow appears above you.

The hand crashes forwards, trying to squish you, but a subconscious burst of purple and a bit of acrobatics lets you barely dodge the hand as metal meets metal.

You’re kind of happy you don’t have a cape, or hair that’s any longer. That would have been a nightmare if it got caught.

You need to climb up another raised plate of metal, but you slide around a light lance and level the weapon of mercy right at the large creature’s head.

The sonic blast shrieks off this time, a spear of light being blown off its path towards you as the ear ripping sound hits the creature right where its ear should be.

The shockwave booms, and the Centurion stumbles this time, its hands going to its head as a loud mechanical cry sounds out.

The stun is only momentary, so you lunge forwards, getting some higher ground before a burst of purple helps your plan along. Launching you into the air as [Gae Bolg] forms in all of its bloody glory.

You assume it’s bloody… the weapon radiates something that feels like a history soaked in death and despair like none of your other weapons.

And it seems to growl viciously at the impaired enemy below you.

White motes of light trail behind you, the many wisps from the destroyed spears soaking into your form as the beam cannon forms a spear of red energy.

You take a deep breath, sighting in the enemy below you as you look for a weak point to obliterate.

You fire at it’s…

[ x ] Neck. Its arm is a little in the way, but you trust that [Gae Bolg] won’t miss this time. It should do some serious damage with a hit from your most destructive weapon. (+ 1 Critical Wound) (Inflicts Pierced Neck, Causes death of Creature in 3 turns unless healed) (-1 Gae Bolg Charge)

[ x ] Eye. The knights helm might be blocking most of its face, but it has eyeholes. Something important should be in there at the very least… who knows, maybe you can blow its mechanical brain out if you hit just the right spot. [ x ] Arms. Technically you’ve only got one shot… But with it clutching its head, its lined its elbows up just right. You’ve leapt into the perfect position you think, and [Gae Bolg]’s growling with you. Fire a bolt through one and then the other elbow. That should weaken it considerably.

[ x ] Gem. There’s a white gem sitting front and center on its breast plate, glimmering with faint white light. If anything was a weakspot, that would have to be it.
