Fefnir looked up at the sight above him, as did all the wyverns. It was the girl… she had… wings…
Wasting no time the wyverns quickly flew at her like lemmings, but she quickly doused them in flames, causing many to flee or burn to death. It was a pretty powerful sight, something that Fefnir was glad to have on their side. If the big wyvern had that sort of power the battle would have been over a while ago.
BOOOOMMMMMM!
Another explosion caused wyverns to rain down around him, but it looked like they’d had enough. Screeches echoed as the alpha appeared to collect the smaller wyverns and herd them back towards the mountain. Fefnir cut off a few more heads for good measure as they retreated and looked up at the girl, who was now descending towards them.
“Perhaps you are a dragon after all.”
“I told you!”
“He’ll never believe it though, sad to say.”
“What?! But I just saved you two!”
Suddenly Seph leaned up and felt his head. Nothing seemed to be broken, thank god. Grabbing his sword he looked around at the battlefield. Some pretty big craters, a lot of dead wyverns, but they’d won?
“How?”
“Fefnir pointed his thumb at Letta, but Seph just laughed.

“As you can see…”
“I did save you! I blew them away!”
“Sure, and I’m an ice wizard, Feffy probably just scared em away.”
“Wha-!”
“And the people are alright?”
“Well, yes.”
“Good. Welp, I got what I needed. Let’s go back Feffy.”
“Right.”
“You’re just leaving?!”
“Well everything seems to be in order, don’t it?”
“But…”
“If ya ever need some help just call Feffy or me, we’ll send those bastards packing again!”
Letta just sighed. She wasn’t going to win this argument was she… was it even an argument?
“Fine just… take care of the sword will you? I got some of my power back today but if I can ever find the Youkai that sealed me I might just need your help again.”
“Still goin on about bein’ a dragon huh? Haha, sure, we’ll help out anytime!”
With a curt wave, Seph turned away and started back towards the castle. Fefnir quickly caught back up with him and looked at Seph’s scabbard.
“Disappointed?”
“What? No way! I just got caught off guard is all.”
Tilting his head, Fefnir put forward no further questions, which Seph was grateful for. After walking back to the castle, Seph decided to go back to the travelling clan hall, if he could find it that is. There were a few things he needed to do…
Seph looked down at his sword. Gram. The powerhouse. It did nothing to Joyeuse, yet it fused so beautifully… Did he just not know how to use it? While waiting for the bus Seph took his sword out and swung it a few times, concentrating his energy in the blade.
Nothing happened.
Exasperated, Seph flung himself out on the bench.
“How the hell do you work…”
