YEARLY REEVALUATION
ABSTRACT
UNIQUE ENTITY 006
CODENAMED: THE BAT
CONTAINMENT UNIT 006
* Physical Restraints:
* Reinforced concrete chamber 3x3x3m with 1/3m thick walls
* One (1) steel door bolted shut
* Surveillance:
* One (1) ceiling-mounted camera
* Accommodations:
* One (1) sink, one (1) toilet, one (1) single-sized bed
CAPTURE OF SUBJECT: UE 006
* Subject repeatedly appeared as a “phantom ping” during radar surveillance of Containment Unit 000 in the weeks following the Eastwood Event. The phenomena were attributed to equipment malfunction prior to visual confirmation of the subject.
* Civilian residents in areas bordering the quarantine reported UFO sightings and abductions with abnormal frequency.
* See attached document 006-B for a full list of alleged sightings predating UE 006’s capture.
* Visual confirmation occurred REDACTED when 2nd Platoon, Company A swept the Eastwood forest floor in a joint operation with the No. 139 Royal Naval Air Squadron scanning the canopy above. All units were ordered to pursue but failed to apprehend the subject.
* Military Operation 006-1 was devised and carried out on REDACTED using additional units detailed below. UE 006 was provoked using non-lethal explosives while helicopters drove the subject towards troops on the ground. The subject escaped the attempted corral, navigated around the netting, and evaded all tranquilizer rounds, resulting in the failure of Military Operation 006-1.
* Military Operations 006-2 through 006-8 were devised and carried out after live ammunition was authorized. 2-chlorobenzalmalononitrile was authorized as of MO 006-4, and air superiority fighters were requisitioned for MO 006-8. All Military Operations failed, and the units were pulled from Facility control.
* See attached document 006-E for a detailed summary of all related military operations.
* Subject was captured three months after the Eastwood Event.
* Once Dr. Adelaide established UE 006 was feeding on the civilian population, a curfew was put into effect REDACTED. Eight days later, the subject was captured without resistance by Facility security while patrolling the forest.
Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
ASSOCIATED CASUALTIES
* Initial Capture:
* While no personnel were injured, UE 006 abducted and drained an estimated eighty civilians of approximately a pint of blood.
* These civilians have no recollection of seeing UE 006. In the words of Dr. Adelaide, they were “Vaguely aware the incident had occurred.”
* Victims unanimously reported tinnitus of variable severity. This side effect never lasted more than twenty-four (24) hours.
* Containment:
* The subject has been too enervated since capture to resist testing, displaying weakness, fatigue, and other symptoms congruent with anemia.
* The nutritionally balanced meals the Facility provides have not invigorated the subject as expected.
* UE 006 refuses blood packets consistently, quote, “They’re too cold,” regardless of temperature.
* Containment Breaches:
* N/A
CONFIRMED ABILITIES
* Flight:
* While UE 006 did not display speeds exceeding the requisitioned aircraft, the subject repeatedly outmaneuvered all squadrons in pursuit by flying below the forest canopy.
* The netting used to counteract this strategy was ineffective, though numerous locations and materials were implemented during Military Operations.
* Radar Jamming:
* While in pursuit of UE 006, radar detection was completely ineffective. This forced all units to visually track the highly mobile target through terrain concealment, which proved insurmountable for all Military Operations.
* Excellent Hearing:
* Though its location was surrounded on multiple occasions, UE 006 had a marked aptitude for choosing the optimal moment to break from cover. Analysts conclude the subject must be able to detect its pursuers with great accuracy, likely using a form of echolocation.
* UE 006 responds to all sonic frequencies the Facility’s equipment can produce, both infrasonic and ultrasonic waves.
ESCAPE RECORD
* The subject has not attempted to escape the Facility.
RECOMMENDATION
The subject displays no abilities relevant to UE 000. However, due to UE 006’s low upkeep costs and zero-casualty history, it is recommended the subject remain on-site pending further developments.
