Chapter 19: Chief of the R&D Division

“WOAH!”

Swoosh!

All around an amazing array of lights shined within Queror’s room. The three girls and the witch had come to record the witches magical knowledge. Even if the cultivation didn’t pass her spells and theoretical knowledge would. Who knew that upon touching the Grimoire it would burst into light and fly around release hundreds upon hundreds of pages that released light.

This kept going and slowly pages began to group together slowly. They formed diagrams, formulas and complex scriptures and piling up with others. Dozens of piles began to form but still more pages were being released by the original Grimoire and for a who five minutes it continued until several books were left.

The original Grimoire landed on the pedestal while other books kept floating in the air. The four girls were in shock as they slowly walked forward and Leah took one of the books.

On the cover was a title and the design of the hard cover book sounded weird to her. “‘The 49 Primary Channel Opening Arts’? What is that?” She asked.

“WHAT!” Adal shouted and flew became a swarm before reforming on Leah’s shoulder. “Open it quick!” Adal shouted.

“O-okay.” Leah said and opened it.

The first page was a table of content showing 49 names of different arts and the page they begin in. She then turned to the first one.

“My god! This is the ‘Universal Channel Opening Art’!” She said.

“What are these?” Nelim asked.

“This book seems to contain the techniques for opening the mana channels. That said each art has a different effect on the body. Some are better and some are worse. This ‘Universal Channel Opening Art’ is the most basic and primitive. In my world it was the most mainstream for a human that wanted to become a witch or wizard for the extended life. That said it is still hard to come by.” Adal said.

“Why do you know 49 different Channel opening arts?” Leah asked.

“Obviously every person’s body is different, also it was so that we could develop our own style in future stages so that we can supply our disciple we take up with something better.” She said nodding.

“I remember you said something about the Heartstone art?” Leah asked and moved to the 45th art. “‘Heartstone Channel Opening art’ is this the start of it?” Leah asked.

“Oh so it even stored my own art. Fantastic!” Adal said.

“Hey I remember hearing that a Grimoire only stores information that works within the universe. It is said some cores from magic worlds weren’t able to do magic because it didn’t follow the laws of nature of our universe. Doesn’t that mean that these arts work in our parallel universe?” Nelim asked.

The three others looked at each other and at the floating books and also seemed to realize the same fact. “It seems Adal brought forth a new class, I wonder how much the academy would pay for a chance to get this?” Leah asked.

“Don’t!” Nelim said.

“Why?” Leah asked confused.

“Don’t forget that each person can only impart their knowledge once to a Grimoire. We will need to scan these books for Adal so she can take them back with her.” Nelim said

“What! Why didn’t you say that before!” Adal said.

“Don’t worry, scanning is quick and you will have it all in a nice compact little box.” Leah said.

“Guu~! But I don’t like these strange things, I want a proper paper book.” Adel complained.

The girls wryly smiled and looked around.

“Can’t Grimoire transfer knowledge?” Mirella asked.

“I am not sure?” Leah said.

The girls weren’t sure of this but still they had to try something but not at this time. They turned to the floating books and took them and saw the interesting titles. ‘36 Mana Absorption Stage Arts’, ‘24 Arts of Liquefying Mana’, ‘13 Grand Dan Concentrating Arts’, ‘7 Manuels to Mana Ocean Creation’, ‘Heartstone Art of the Mana Core World’. After these series of books on cultivating came books on magic, ‘The Arcane book of Nature’, ‘Grandmasters Alchemy Manual Vol. I’, ‘Grandmasters Alchemy Manual Vol. II’, ‘Grandmasters Alchemy Manual Vol. III’, ‘Notes for Creation of Magical Beasts’, ‘Journal of Magical Beast Habits and Abilities’, ‘Grimoire of Witch Magic Theory’.

The final one was the most interesting one as it spoke of Adal’s own magical knowledge but it was blunt primitive type instead of the complex physics that Leah knew. The small witch herself personally opened the main Grimoire that had not changed one bit and began to study herself while Leah stored the books on a bookshelf and the girls took up the book on Magic Theory.

“Wow, although the world isn’t as advanced as ours technologically but the magical knowledge is quite profound.” Nelim exclaimed.

“Hmm, most of this is tied to the Witch and Wizard’s own conditions of having the spherical ball of concentrated mana.” Leah said.

“Yeah it makes sense since it was the primary power but I wonder, the danger of the ball being stolen exists doesn’t it?” Mirella asked looking at the small witch he slumped.

“Yes… it does.” She said dejected, “The balls, as you call them, are known as the Mystic Dan, it is concentrated mana to the extreme. When you form the ball you will need to keep absorbing mana until it completely breaks and reform it more powerfully. This will make the body stronger and the mana will be purer and more concentrated. You do this 10 times and on the 11th you will form your mana ocean.” She explained and sighed, “The most vulnerable moment for a witch is the Mystic Dan stage where it can be stolen. Witches and wizards sometimes hunt each other to supplement their own mana to break through.” she said.

The three looked at her worried, since she reincarnated she had died in some method and looking at the final cultivation style Leah had to ask. “Why is this last one called ‘Mana Core World’?”

“After the stage of the Mystic Dan the ocean will form where, what you call the mana pool, is located. It will keep growing until it forms an ocean. Following that your mana will naturally form land and ‘life’ on it where it will form a Mana core world. It is one of the most powerful stages but it can’t be removed like the Mystic dan.” She said and sighed, “But to reach this stage passing through the Mystic dan stage is one of the hardest parts.”

“How hard can it be?” Mirella asked.

“I look like a child BECAUSE I passed through four mystic dan stages. The second time the dan breaks it rejuvenates the body. I was an hold wretch before and then returned to my looks when compared to a normal human's 40s then I broke two more times within a short time frame due to some lucky chances which filled my Dan up quickly and so my youth returned even more and my power rose into the heavens but I died because of these lucky chances because my dan gained a unique effect and so I was hunted. Treasure truly is the death of man.” She sighed.

“So its akin to Nirvana?” Leah asked.

“Nirvana?” She asked confused.

“It is referred to as the cycle of destruction and rebirth. In some stories where cultivation is used the term Nirvana tribulation is used because you undergo the cycle of destruction of the flesh and the rebirth of new flesh regaining youth and gaining a lifespan unimaginable to previous stages.” Leah said the common knowledge that was born from those who came from martial arts worlds and the people who made stories of these tales.

“Oh I see, it fits. It is exactly as you said.” Adal said.

“I was wondering Adal but how much does the human lifespan grow with each stage?” She asked putting the five books for the six stages they had available in front of them.

Adal flew over and landed on the Channel opening one. “For Channel Opening the human is still human even after opening it. There is an increase in absorption of mana and at best maybe 10 or 20 extra years because your body is being really well nourished.” She said and flew to the ‘36 Mana Absorption Stage Arts’, “In the Mana absorption stage the human is probably like a mage that I have seen from asking about magic users from the strange being restraining me. You are opening up your mana pool and filling it up to the brim along with all your channels.”. She goes to the ‘24 Arts of Liquefying Mana’ next, “In the Liquid mana stage you concentrate all your mana into a drop of liquid. You keep repeating the process of gathering the gas like mana and make it liquid within the body until your channels are completely full. When it is completely full it is time for the next stage. In this stage you are a Witch with a lifespan of a few hundred years old. Most witch reach here with around 200 to 300 year of age. 400 is usually the upper limit”. She jumps to the next book in line. “The for the Mystic dan stage you for a vortex in the mana pool and compress the liquid mana into a ball and solidify it. This simple action doubles your lifespan which you will then have to start absorbing the mana once more to break it and continue making the mystic dan stronger. From there I can’t explain more since I never got further.” She said.

“So its a very slow process.” Nelim asked.

“Somewhat yes, you mostly great through within the time frame of your life but we usually get children, orphans most of the time, as disciples so that we don’t risk pulling the tail of a tiger or something.” Adal said.

The others nodded.

“Does this work with monster races?” Leah suddenly asked.

Adal looked at her and frowned, “Which type, I can say yes but it still depends of the creature.” She said.

“Imps, humanoid monsters.” Leah replied.

Adal frowned and turned pointing to Queror, “Like this thing?” She asked.

“He is a bigger version known as Lesser Demon, the imps are simpler smaller and dumber.” She replied.

“Oh, well the Channel opening can happen for any creature but you will need to experiment to adapt to those creatures since the techniques I have are 75% for humans and not demons. The rest are ones I created to make Magical Beasts.” She replied.

“Truth be told, I was really only hoping to open the Mana Channels for the Imps. If it gives them several years of lifespan just from that it would already help us since by then we could breed a number of imps for our crew and train them to specific jobs we need. By the time hey reach 20 years they would already have evolved into better, smarter and more complex races.” Leah said.

“Oh I see! That would also help with the clones since they wouldn’t actually die instantly and we wouldn’t have to undergo the tedious process of breed and raise them into greater forms since they are already with longer lifespans and we can make them grow properly.” Mirella said.

Adal looked at the three girls and turned to Queror before flying over to him and landing on his shoulder. It looked at her with a frown but it was curious about her.

She placed her hand on his shoulder and for a while before her face frowned, “It won’t be so easy.” She said loudly.

The three girls looked at her.

“Why” Mirella asked.

“While human mana channels have about a third to half of their mana channels open this creature only has a tenth of his mana channels open.” She said.

“WHAT!” Mirella shouted standing up. “Then how can he use such powerful magic!” She shouted.

“It’s obviously his affinity plus his race.” Leah said.

“Correct!” Adal nodded and flew over to the Grimoire pedestal, “His race is naturally that of a Magic beast though one with intelligence and following instincts he can use it but to open his mana channels would take at best a month and if he was super slow a year. That said, seeing as he is a more complex form compared to the others you want to do this to it would mean almost all the others mana channels would be closed resulting in their pathetically small lifespans.” She said.

The explanation given by the tiny witch was quite an eye opener, not only did it make sense but it even helped the girls think of methods to improve their future servant races.

Leah asks for her to teach them how to implement these changes, although she had no plans to actually do the complete cultivating process, the thought of doing the channel opening appealed greatly to all three girls. Leah even thought about helping her brother to give him magic abilities that he has thus far lacked.

As for said brother in question, he was currently in the Biolab with Tony. After the girls left he and Tony walked to the lab. The conversation in the kitchen was quite enlightening and it unlocked small magic tech including the nanites which made Tony spawn a few swarms to make a similar metal body with the nanites which was on Pelonius’s shoulder.

Currently he had Tony trash the clones he had in the chambers. In the ship there was a total of around 40 clone imps while the Queror clones for some reason or another would die half way resulting in failure.

“This truly is the most amatur rank bioengineering lab. No even when I was learning my trade did I use such a low grade lab.” He said.

“Hey, although I hate it as well it's what I can do.” Tony shouted.

“AI please gather all structural information on our ship’s Bioengineering lab and upload to this ships system.” Pelonius said.

The AI in question was in a drone said, “Yes sir.”

After a moment the information began streaming and soon it finished.

“Fuck! 900 thousand! Are you crazy!” Tony shouted.

“Calm down, you wouldn’t know this but as long as you have the most basic room you can look at high grade models and purchase each equipment one by one instead of in a package.” Pelonius explained.

“Seriously!” Tony said and frowned, “FUCKING SYSTEM! Why do I have to know about something for it to show me it! Only now this stupid system implemented the separate equipment system!” Tony cursed.

This story has been stolen from Royal Road. If you read it on Amazon, please report it

“Seems your Core holder is working fine then. Now seeing as you have a problem with charging your mana you will probably need the holder upgrades ‘Mana Generator’, ‘Upgrade Mana Battery’ and ‘Mana Stabilizer’.” Pelonius said.

“Why would I need those, I understand the first one but the other two?” He said.

“You might not know this but you core at its current size can only hold around 5000 mp. The holder naturally has batteries that hold your refined dungeon mana but the most basic, which is what you have, only goes up to 250 thousand.” He said.

“FUCK!” Tony cursed. The big upgrades needed much more and he was still stuck on this. “Would upgrading it have an effect on the codes?” Tony asked grumpy.

“Of course, the holder was made to upgrade further with each holder upgrade. This is a countermeasure so that the dungeon cores don’t go crazy as they upgrade massively when they have mana as well as hopefully preventing you from going crazy should your ship be wrecked in space.” He said.

“Crazy?”

“When a ship with a core is wrecked there is a chance the holder will break, its unlikely but it is there. The ship would break apart but after some time, as long as your core isn’t destroyed, you will get mana and start to ‘recapture’ your dungeon. The holder is the first thing and upon repairing it even if you don’t want to the system will restrain you once more. This is a safety protocol to keep cores from running wild in space but even then it is hard. Without a captain or anything the holder will have less influence. There are quite a few regions of space dominated by a single core due to it being loose within a ship. It has its own monster crews. Still the common protocol is for the ship to return to the nearest planet so that the authorities can be notified.” Pelonius said.

“Damn!” Tony frowned, “Still, what should I upgrade in this place? I was saving mana to buy a teleportation pad.” Tony said.

“It is small upgrades, ‘Bioengineering Chamber Mana Battery’, ‘Life Force Stabilizer’, ‘Mana Stabilizer’, ‘Mana Manipulator’, ‘Atmospheric Mana Gatherer’ and my own personal program which you should have received named ‘Biolab Basic programs’.” Pelonius said.

Tony goes silent for a while before the room begins to ripple and several small changes happen to the cloning chambers and some of the computers. “Quite surprised, that only cost me a total of 24 thousand mp to implement. Though I had 36k before through your sisters feeding but that is beside the point.” Tony said.

“Good, allow the Atmospheric Mana Gatherer a moment to gather enough mana. I will tutor you in the process.” Pelonius said and even then he moved to the computer and began to teach Tony the basics of the program he personally designed. It was the base or so called the foundation of the programming. Obviously he wouldn’t give Tony the full program since he knows it is impossible to implement it into this core established ship without having the data cube with the entire network of the program also this ship’s lab can’t handle or even use half the system so there is no harm with just the foundation program.

That said Tony went above and beyond and as soon as he learned the program his hacker instincts kicked in and he analyzed the structure and even found several holes and problems which he pointed out and after a small moment he made a small change showing it to Pelonius who widened his eye since the program seem to function quite well with these structural differences.

It is said that when genius’s of different fields join hands to teach each other, even magicless people like these two can make magic happen in their own way. It goes without saying that together they where quite a pair.

In Tony’s mind he was shouting, “Why the fuck was I so unlucky to be bought by the fucking retarded sister. If had been with this guy from the get go forget going into a rage, I would have found my calling yet the fucking gods must be laughing from where ever he fucking is at my misfortune!” He cursed mentally.

Even Pelonius had to admit that, although he was a genius, Tony had his own brand of genius comparable to his own and was even a bit regrettable about getting Adalwolfa since the witch knows next to nothing about magic technology or even basic technology. He would have to have her tutored for a long time before progressing far. All this made for him being even a bit jealous of Leah for having Tony as her ship core but was also happy since he already had a plan to easily resolve this problem.

After ten short minutes a small green light on all the cloning chambers lit up.

“Seems the ‘Bioengineering Chamber Mana Battery’ are full good, now let me show you how cloning without failure should be done.” Pelonius said and walked to the main computer.

Suddenly a screen showing all the genetic material of all the imps that Tony had scanned appeared.

Putting their image to one side, in full detail and color, and their genetic signature in a graph style so that as the sequence passes the graph rises and falls he looked and began to pick out ten imps, five male five female form the list of a few hundred.

With each he picked he showed Tony how to identify the top qualities of an Imp. Such qualities being a specific glow coming off the horn, a specific point of the genetic sequence being higher then a different spot while another being lower. He called it, selective breeding. This mean selecting specific traits both good and bad and pairing up Imps in a manner where a male imp has several bad traits and several good ones while the female has several different bad and good traits and when mixed the traits would counterbalance forming an Imp with much greater potential.

“There, I have set the males on the left and the females on the right. The pairs are on in front of each other one with each other. There are four rooms I believe, you can kill off the clone imps, these would be born within 80 to 90% complete as Clone imps and will birth true imps with high potential for evolving at least to lesser imp stage. Put one pair in each room and a final one with the Lesser demon you possess. Just tell them to ignore it and for him to ignore it. You should be able to successfully breed four Imps from these pairs then kill them before putting them into one room as a clan of Imps where they can breed amongst themselves.” Pelonius said.

“Wouldn’t it cause chaos again leave them to their own breeding?” Tony asked.

“Simply put the command, don’t inbreed with siblings, and such problem won’t happen. Within 3 Generations there won’t be problems about inbreeding due to the genetic variability and the dying imps would feed you mana slowly.” he explained.

“So what would I do after that, considering the potential they would evolve into Lesser Demons who have 9 year lifespans.” Tony asked.

“Obviously you simply need to purchase genetic information for the feed and clone it for them. Be it your farm animals or monster races they need combat experience and food so breeding small critters for food is a give.” Pelonius said.

Tony was silent for a long moment before a large series of screens appeared. Pelonius looked at saw it was information that Adalwolfa put into the Grimoire and Tony had scanned. Particularly the first book involving her cultivation and the effect it had on life forms. A video also showed what the witch had explained about the lesser demon having a huge number of mana channels closed.

“I am quite certain these girls will begin live experiments with the servants. There will be a magic demon race without a shadow of a doubt soon.” Tony said. “You know you could probably unlock your magic with this. Although I can’t scan you I am sure your body is closed up while Leah’s is almost complete open. If you opened yours you could use magic then.” Tony asked.

“I have grown accustomed to using technology for my research, if I suddenly got magic it would not change my outlook on research and might even mess me up.” Pelonius replied.

“You don’t need to use it in your experiments, just the simple fact that it can expand your lifespan is a good enough reason to do it you know.” Tony said.

Pelonius did understand Tony’s point of view, a person's lifespan is usually set. Humans nowadays have around 150 years of life due to the magic they absorb and proper training but this technique from a different universe when placed in this one could do even more for the humans of this world.

To Pelonius, time was most important still seeing the witch say that the demon would take at least a month to open it all and at slowest a year made him question that. If the demon took so little time how long would it take a manaless human like him.

He shook his head, “I don’t need to be a wizard to do my experiments.” he thought. “I do not need this, it would take too much time I could use for my experiments.” He said.

“Hmph not like you need it to become a wizard.” Tony laughed.

“What do you mean?” Pelonius asked confused.

“You never heard of it? When a virgin reaches 30 they become a wizard and when they reach 40 you will become a sage.” Tony joked and laughed loudly as he flew away.

Pelonius actually froze before frowning at the joke and glared at Tony. Although as a researcher he did not care much for the worldly pleasures but that did not mean he didn’t think about it. After all he was both a human, a mortal and a male. No matter who the still had instincts and even the controlled person like him had to satisfy his needs once in awhile although it wasn’t comparable to those who lived by their desires.

Still poking something like his age with his virginity isn’t a comfortable thing but while he had told a small bit about himself to Tony the same was equal for the other.

His glasses seem to shine as he smiled, “So if I am going to become a wizard wouldn’t you, who died after his 40’s, already be a sage.” He said.

Tony stopped laughing as his most sore point was kicked with a spiked boot.

The two looked at each other before starting to laugh at each other like good friends. Truly it was difficult for men and women to have natural conversations like this. The interaction between people of the same gender has always been more natural than with the opposite sex and it shows people with the same interests even with completely different personalities will get along.

After laughing the two calmed down and walked to the first chamber where Tony spawned the first Imp and instead of stopping the mana lightning discharge he kept feeding it before he activated the mana stabilizer which released the mana in the battery in a stable flow. Pelonius showed him how to properly manipulate these flows. He showed that in this manner the clone would be born within the hour instead of after 1 day of natural growing.

After getting a stable current they went and did the same to the other nine and after the first hour the Imps were fully formed with a slightly duller red than natural dungeon imps.

The Clone imps on the other hand were in the hands of the girls which Adal sighed to, “These are worthless and have no Mana channels it's best to just kill them off and make better ones.” She said.

At that time the two men came in with the perfected Clones.

“Oh so you were here?” Pelonius said.

“We wanted to see if we could do Adal’s techniques of the Imps but these clones don’t have mana channels.” Leah said.

“Then try it on these, I taught Tony to make proper clones.” He said and put the pair that would remain in this room down. The color attracted their attention. He returned outside and went to get another pair and put it in the next room.

Adal flew over and touched their body. “Oh these have it. Its really closed up but the channels are there. If we can open up a small bit these little guys will be even stronger than normal.” Adal said.

“Let's do it then.” Mirella said excited.

Leah nodded and took the book and read the technique. The mana channel opening technique showed a specific pattern of channels that should be opened, its not like it opens them all instead it opens a stream or current through the body and to the outside.

She choose one of the simpler one that had ten channels two for each limb and the brain.

She touched the Imp’s belly area where the mana pool was and began to slowly move her mana into it. She began to push the mana towards the head first as stated and the channel that was closed opened up naturally.

“Does doing this to babies make it easier.” She asked.

“Yes, their body is more malleable.” Adal said and Leah nodded as she kept doing the technique but at one point there was a change in the body. Routes that didn’t exist in the human body but it did in the imps. She adapted and checked what the pathways went and found parts opened going to the horns and so she actually split technique going and connecting to the horns that kept the mana in the imps. Then following that she kept moving through the channel and soon they eat up as they left the brain and returned back to the mana pool.

The feeling of mana in the body grew stronger as the imp absorbed more mana naturally. She continued going through all four limbs and finishing. She did the same for the other imp. Besides the head the rest had the same channels mostly with one or two differences.

“There.” Leah said finishing.

“Hey is it me or are their colors much deeper now?” Nelim asked. She had been watching standing and although it was subtle she did find the red color skin much brighter and healthy. In fact the babies imps didn’t even look scrawny and instead had begun to form a sort of chubby baby look.

“Well it is a magical beast, it is possible that opening its channels allowed it to feed off mana that it is absorbing.

Suddenly a glow from their belly drew their attention and they looked as the glow vanished. They looked at each other strangely and Leah changed. “They formed Demon crystals.” She said.

“What is that?” Adal asked.

“Demon Crystals is a unique thing more from 1 in 10,000 demon creatures. It is when the mana in the pool of a demon gets so concentrated it crystallizes the entire mana pool. It makes the demon really powerful as well and usually only high ranking demons have it after a long time of training.” Nelim explained.

“So by opening the channels it formed a crystal meaning it will be a powerful creature.” She asked and the girls nodded. “Wow? The creatures of this universe sure have an easy time growing powerful!” Adal said.

“Not really, although it indeed formed a crystal it just means it has more mana and it’s lifespan is guaranteed to be at least 5 years but it will evolve like crazy if not controlled. Demon crystals sometime have a corrupting effect but these are infant Imps meaning we can easily teach them how they should be.” Nelim said.

“Hey I want some sparring partners instead of magic idiots. Let me have a pair.” Mirella asked.

At this time the men boys walked in. “I see you are done.” Polonius said and looked down with interest. “Did anything interesting happen to it?” He asked.

“Yeah!” Leah said. She described what happened and it left Pelonius curious. “For now leave the imps alone, don’t do the same thing to the other groups. I am curious about their natural group as well as the effect of doing this later when they are adults. Also they are supposed to breed into greater potential imps so for now let the genetically stronger ones be born.” He advised.

“Alright brother. It's quite late to go out to the adventurers association so let's get an evening meal and rest up today.” Leah said.

They all agreed and went up. They did a small explanation of what they learned and like Pelonius thought, Leah suggested for him to open his mana channels but he just rejected saying that he didn’t need it. He told them about what he taught Tony.

When the food was on the table the ate quickly or slowly depending on the person and once they were relaxed.

“So brother, what are you going to do now after leaving home?” Leah asked.

He smiled and looked at her with a serious look, “Leah, can I join your crew as your chief of Research and Development?” He asked.

Everyone looked at him and blinked before a collected, “Eh?” came out completely stunning everyone.

Only after a long time did Leah smile and shout, “Of course!”

“Wait but why did you buy a ship and core then?” Tony asked.

“Obviously I planned to be the captain of my own crew but I want to join Leah’s crew in fleet style. I would be on the same planet and all that as you buy I wish to pursue my own research material for myself and being on the same ship would ultimately limit me to the technology on the ship and since this is an explorer class ship…” he trailed off but everyone understood.

A research ship is usually the same size as a Cargo ship and are ones of the largest ones. With more security than normal ships and more manpower they usually search and research material for the crew. Although there can be a R&D group on all ships usually all crews develop and launch a ship dedicated to R&D both for weapons and weapon designs but that doesn’t limit it since there can also be mechanic researchers and robotic specialists.

By joining her crew he can hide behind her fame while always being near yet also having no problem going about his own business.

“There is also another good feature of making an official fleet which is the fact that the AI and the spawned creatures, or more specifically the ones controlled by the core itself, can survive on other ships of the same fleet for long periods of time without a problem. Since we have both gained… unique cores but they aren’t compatible with the captains it makes things easier for us who feel better with a each other. Ultimately it is just a byproduct of joining up but it is still a good result.” Pelonius said.

“You mean you can take a small part of Tony to your ship and Adal can stay here with us?” Mirella asked.

“That is exactly it. I will ultimately have to tutor Wolfy in today’s technology but it is alright, I can simply design my own upgrades and for some things I can use the systems own default things. She can’t build without me choosing unlike Tony who took over the system and you simply need to ask him.” Pelonius said.

“We should get the recruiting out of the way.” Tony said.

Everyone nodded and Leah brings up the captain command and recruits her brother.

You have invited the captain of another ship. The result of recruiting him will create a Fleet. Do you wish to proceed?

Yes

No

“Yes.” She said.

In front of her brother a window appeared.

You have been invited to form a fleet with the crew owned by Leah Biloni. Do you wish to join under her?

Yes

No

“Yes.” He said and once more a window switched over.

“Damn this feels like a damned wedding where you exchange vows.” Tony joked making Leah blush and slap towards his nanite body which turned into a swamp to dodge.

“Shut up!” She shouted.

You have formed a Fleet as the General with Pelonius Ulkina Biswal. Please name the fleet. If this is left blank the name of your ship, “Stuss” shall be denominated as the Fleet name.

“So what should we name our Fleet?” Leah asked.

They all looked at each other and began to discuss with each other about the name rejecting really stupid ones while building off others. Finally they were able to choose one and Leah typed it in.
