“Hey, Pedonus, why do you have so many cursed wands, staves and… items, in these strange… tubes?” Adalwolfa asked.
“It’s Pelodius and these are experiments I did with cursed items to make a wand that will reduce the magic affinity of the wielder.” He replied.
“Why would you do such a stupid thing?” She asked with a frown.
“My sister is a rare person born with 100% or possibly more for Fire, Water and Mystic magic. These three are the highest affinities for this planet because of the three moons which release elemental energies. Because of this high affinity it makes her magic so powerful she can’t control.” He said.
The little girl's eyes widened hearing the news of the sibling.
“Then why not use magic to craft these wands.” She asked.
“I already told you, I can’t use magic. I am inept at magic, 0 affinity and my body has no mana capacity.” He replied without looking away from one of the small parts floating in a green liquid while under constantly attack from lightning.
“That’s not true, you do have a very small capacity but its nothing a bit of cultivating can’t help.” She said.
“What do you mean?” He stopped and looked at her. “I already tested, I can’t move mana or even feel it. To make extra sure my parents even hired an archmage to make sure and I had no mana in my body.” He said.
“Of course you do, the problem is that all your mana channels are blocked.” She said. “How do I make these strange windows work, I feel like I can mess with them yet this strange woman keeps pushing them away from me.” She said with a frown.
“AI aid the core to display what she wishes.” Pelonius said.
“As you wish sir.” She replied and the little girl went from a frown to a smile and after a moment a two 3d hologram of the human body appeared.
“In my previous life there were three races, Humans, Witch and Wizards. Witches were females and Wizards were male. Witch and Wizard were different from humans yet all three could live in harmony but didn’t and we could breed but Witches have a low birth rate and instead to have a higher chance of making a witch we simply take up disciples. Common humans can access a strange energy which slowly permeates the body as they absorb more. It follows a specific pathway and slowly makes them stronger but Witch and Wizards follow a different pathway.” She said. The holograms began to light up and a little ball in the middle began to move around and countless little balls lit up along the lines that moved throughout the body. “Witch and Wizards clean out this different pathway which expands upon the smaller one humans use and we absorb mana in the air. With gather it, make it a liquid then concentrate it into a small sphere. Then as we absorb more they begin to crack and once ten cracks are on it the sphere breaks you undergo a tremendous pain where the sphere’s energy becomes gaseous like natural and absorbs and undergoes the entire system of cultivating once more and reforms into the sphere once more.” She explained.
“This feels like I am listening the a martial artist.” Pelonius said bored and turned around. “I don’t have time to undergo this tedious training since I have no talent for it.” He said.
“Every witch and wizard has talent, after all you need to undergo channel cleaning, blood cleansing, bone cleansing and marrow cleansing before you can even begin absorbing mana and each of these processes will raise your bodies talent.” She said.
“Not interested, although I am sure my sister will be, will this let her control her magic?” He asked in a bored tone.
“Well this is her affinities she will need to train them I am simply explaining how to gather mana.” She said.
“Then its a waste of time. I already used 10 years to reach where I am now so I have no time to keep wasting since I just completed the first wand for my sister and I need to improve their capabilities.” He said.
The girl looked at him for a long while before vanishing.
He stayed concentrating on the pieces while controlling a few devices causing the areas of contact that the lightning hit to change in a specific manner.
This small black object is one more piece that would build the next building block for the two black handguns and the rifle. While it is common for someone like a treant to make a living weapon out of specific wood even making a magic gun. For a magicless person such as Pelonius he needs to invent his own method and this method lead him to create ‘living weapon pieces’ each and every piece of the gun is its own living ‘weapon’ and together they make the full weapon. If compared to any other weapon it can be considered a heavenly object but for others it would be the devil's tool because each and every piece is made with similar effects to the Black Leech Wand but the effect is weaker but it is a collective effect that makes the weapon so much more powerful.
As for the wands and staves they are simple tools, experiments mean to supply Leah with a training guile but these guns would provide her both manipulation and firing without needing the magic gems once complete.
“Sir, Leah has just arrived and has landed.” The AI said.
He looked at the piece once more and set a predetermined sequence for the machine to follow and stop which would end in one minute and we watched it to the end before stabilizing the chamber to not allow changes to happen with the part.
He goes up to the top floor and reaches the bathroom and looks at himself. “Damn… I really let go.” he muttered as he scratched his beard and felt his greasy brown hair. He sighed as he removed all his clothes showing the lanky but fit figure below all the baggy clothes. “Lost a lot of weight.” He muttered as well and went into the shower. “AI where are the razors.” He called.
Before he knew it a small opening appeared and a fist sized drone came out and with a laser razor it quickly shaved his beard leaving it baby smooth without injuring his face once bit. Then he grabbed some shampoo and washed his hair five times until all the greasy oils were washed away with the soapy liquid and began a complete rundown from top to bottom.
Finally he got out and after getting a new set of clothes, which looked exactly like the old pair but clean, he took his glasses and washed them completely with soap leaving them sparkly and passed some products to remove the scratches and return it to the glory of when it was first made. Seeing his hair a bit long he once more sent an order, “AI haircut.” He said.
A screen appeared and he set the sizes to be shortened but not a buzzcut. It was short on the sides, about half a finger height while the top would have a finger and a half.
The AI was quick with the drone and he brushed the hair into a 2:8 style. Completely cleaned up like he used to be, he gave off the feeling of a respective scientist since the white lab coat, also a clean pair, was still on his back.
When he finally walked of his room the little witch appeared with her jaw hanging, “Who are you?!” She asked in shock.
“Stop playing around.” he said and walked past her and entered the elevator. “Did you spawn any type of dungeon monster or drone?” He asked.
“Yes, this strange thing you called an AI explained to me. Also what does AI mean?” She asked.
“It stands for artificial intelligence, it is a large bundle of information that can thing like a real living being.” He explained.
As the door opened to the cargo where the exit was located he saw a cloud of floating nanites. He looked at the girl.
“What?” She asked.
“Why of all types of drones did you choose a swarm of nanites?” He asked.
“What do you mean, that thing is magical bugs. In a swarm they thing as one and when it take over…” She vanished and suddenly the swarm flew towards him and began overlaying each other and formed a small blue human figure, “I can make a little form for myself.” She said cheerfully.
“What can this thing do?” He asked frowning.
“Magic!” She said happily and made a candle sized fireball appear but obviously to her it was a large fire ball.
“AI nanite swarm information.” he said.
“As you wish sir.”
Nanite Swarm (1000x)
20 mp
Nanites are microscopic machines, the first and original nanite was the only one truly made by man as all the others were recreated by the original and those coming after. Nanites can survive with the mana in the air and are stronger inside a dungeon where the quality and quantity of mana is higher. A small swarm is unintelligent but once enough nanites are formed the collective mind will slowly start to form into a swarm mind making something akin to an AI. Due to the size of Nanites being the same as a human cell when commanded by an external AI they can form a robot with magical capabilities but this leaves them vulnerable to extensive damage.
Magical capabilities are in relation to the quantity of nanites present in the body.
Pelonius sighed as he saw that although it was useless with one swarm, at the size of a human palm it would take around 100,000 nanites to make anything with considerable power.
“Don’t spawn more nanites, it takes to many of them to make a strong enough robot.” Pelonius said.
“I just need a body for myself, oh and there is this thing.” she said pointing to a Mark I 8790 Scouter drone. This was obviously a more magic oriented model. “Is everything this girl picks magic related?” he asked himself.
With the AI in the scouter and the small palm sized girl sitting on his shoulder he left the ship.
“AI take me to their ship.” He said.
“Yes sir.”

Leah looked out the bridge window and sighed. Looking at the city where her family lived. Looking at the far off walls of the inner city she sighed.
City dungeons are split into three sections. The dungeon which is the tower and underground, the inner city which, depending on the size of the town or city, is surrounding by a large wall with defensive measures such a energy shields, mana shields and many types of weapons. This is a section where the dungeon still has direct control and were the main businesses exist. Finally the outer city which is within the area of influence and the dungeon can still ‘see’ what happens in this area but he can’t directly influence it like the inner city until they ‘buy’ the land which will force the inner city walls to relocate at the edge of this influence area expanding the inner city.
The author's tale has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon.
Previously Leah had lived in the inner city to be able to reach the tower quicker but even then it was a far walk. One the other hand shipyards, where ships are built, are in the outer city with the ship parking space and docks being at the furthest edge of the outer city.
Now on the docks she looked and only saw residential areas or malls before she saw the big wall and got up and moving into the ship since it would do her no good to remain remembering bad memories and so she began to get ready. Due to the lack of a teleport pad she would need to take a taxi so the three girls all got ready to go but halfway through something happened.
“Oi captain bitch! Someone is here to visit you, has an AI and something annoying with him.” Tony said.
“Did he give a name?” Leah asked from the bathroom as she brushed her hair.
“Yeah, Padobus or something.” Tony said bored.
“Padobus? Do I know someone with that name?” She wondered and shrugged. “Is he in the cargo already?” She asked.
“Nah, I talked with him from the drones.” Tony replied.
“Well let him in but tell him to wait.” Leah said while brushing her hair.
Only after a long half hour of fixing her hair and leaving the unique purple hair silky and straight did she finally leave her room dressed and relaxed before going down to the cargo to see who was waiting there.
As the door opened she walked out, “So who is this Padob…” As soon as she saw the young man she froze where she was. It was obvious why, it was her brother.
“Hey Padobus, this is the bitch you wanted now leave!” Tony shouted appearing as a Hologram in his face.
Pelonius frowned and waved his hand in front of his face as if batting a fly away. “You really had no luck in your core did you Leah.” He said.
“Brother!” She snapped out of it and ran at him before hugging him tightly. Her most loving brother came to visit her, it was no wonder she was so happy. Still a moment later she split and glared at Tony. “You IDIOT! His name is PELONIUS!! Not PADOBUS you fucking IDIOT! I would have gotten here so much earlier if you had told me his name properly!” She said full of rage.
“His name is quite forgettable.” Tony said bored. Suddenly he flinched as he looked behind Leah.
Standing there was Pelonius with a smile but the glare of the light completely blocked his eyes. “Oh so that was why Leah took so long. Knowing her she would have come wet from a bath if she knew it was me. You know I am quite calm but seeing such a ‘curious’ core it does make me curious as to how your ‘work’ on the inside.” He said and a calm voice but the threat was clear as day.
Tony shrank back upon hearing this but suddenly a small cloud of something appeared from the mans pocket and began to swarm around Leah.
“Huh? Nanites?” She muttered.
It kept spinning and moving about over her body for a minute before it gathered in front of her and formed a small body. Leah put her hand out and it landed on her hand before solidifying into a tiny girl in a robe with a witch hat. “Wow! This is the first time is saw a naturally born witch! Its official you are now my disciple and I will turn you into the greatest witch in the world!” She said proudly.
The announcement caught them by surprise and Tony bent over, “Who is this little brat?” He asked Pelonius.
“She is my core, I did not want a ‘tamed’ core since they are rather boring but… I wasn’t expecting a reincarnated witch… especially one from a world without technology.” He replied.
“Oh brother, I need to say, thank you for the wand it works wonderfully!” Leah turned and said with a smile.
“Hey don’t ignore me and you, thug, how dare you call this great being a brat! I’ll have you know that I am a great witch of 874 years old! I, Adalwolfa Bon Bibonina, the cultivator of the Florivine Forest Heartstone Core Technique, am a great being of unbelievable power and you dare call me a brat!” She said in a proud and arrogant manner.
No one really knew how to react immediately but after a moment Tony snapped out of it and frowned. “Witch cultivator?” He said.
“Yep, in my world witch cultivate mana.” She said nodding in a knowing manner.
“Sounds more like bullshit to me.” Tony said.
“You~!” the girl turned read before looking at him and the robot's and smiled, “At least I have my own body instead of a little magicless toy.” She said proudly.
Instantly the two were in each others face.
“Alright stop it you both, let us leave this cargo so we can talk in peace.” Pelonius said breaking up the scene.
“Hmph!” The two crossed their arms and walked away. Leah and Pelonius walked to the elevator while Tony headed straight up to the kitchen where they were headed.
“... as you can see it is to your benefit to become my disciple.” Adalwolfa said as they come out of the elevator.
“Sorry but no thank you.” Leah shook her head.
“But way~!” Adalwolfa cried upon hearing Leah’s rejection.
“I can barely control my own power as it is so if I grew even more powerful by doing this… mana cultivation I would never be able to control my own mana every.” Leah said.
The little girl looked dejected upon seeing that she lost such a good student for such a stupid reason. That said it was true, unless Leah learned to control her magic she wouldn’t be able to do anything. Suddenly Adalwolfa realized this point, “So if I help you train to control your full power you will accept?”
“No.” Leah bluntly rejected.
“Why~!”
“I just don’t need so much power, not right now, I am still young I want to train and grow on my own.” Leah said.
“But…”
“Wolfy stop pestering her.” Pelonius said taking the girl by the hat but as soon as he pulled the hat came off.
The little girl couldn’t reach but Leah, who held her looked at saw a cute pair of wolf ears on her head. Suddenly the hat broke down and rushed back to the head of the girl and she blushed while glaring, “Did you see?”
“See what? The adorable ears?” Leah asked confused.
“No~!” Adal shouted dejected, “Now no one will want me and I will be thrown out again.” She said just as Leah and Pelonius entered the restaurant style kitchen.
“Huh!” The brother sister combo said together confused.
“Why would we not want you?” Leah asked.
“Because I am just a half breed animal.” She said.
“I don’t get it?” Pelonius said.
“This is an effect of being a witch, we become half animal as shown by the second pair of ears we get on our head. Why do you think I even wear this ridiculous robe and hat!” She shouted.
“Oh I has to do with your old world.” Leah realized.
“What else!”
“Ahahaha! The little puppy is scared of being thrown out.” Tony laughed making her feel worse.
“Don’t worry, no one will find you strange, our universe doesn’t see beastmen or half beast type creatures as animals unless they are really animals, bred by dungeon or cloning.” Leah explained.
The girl looked at Leah with ‘teary’ eyes.
“Alright alright get this drama over with and sit down already.” Tony shouted.
The other two girls were already in the kitchen, Leah did the introduction making them surprised to see the prodigy brother that gifted Leah with a cursed wand.
“Wow so you're the genius researcher. But why are you here? Also this is a core as in Ship core? Wouldn't your father be made?” Mirella asked.
“I left that house, my research would have been found sooner or later. So I wanted to keep it for far later since I needed privacy. It would become harder for my research to be found by father.” He replied.
“Oi, Pedobus, what branch of research do you do?” Tony asked bored intentionally getting his name wrong.
“...” The man simply looked at the hologram who yawned and sighed, “My primary study is weapons development. It was supposed to be only through technology but I got the academy to secretly include me in the magic technology section. The secondary study is bioengineering. The reason being because I merge magic technology with bioengineering to create the living weapons I am making for Leah.” He said.
Tony sat up straight upon hearing this. “You know how to make magic tech and bioengineering? As in cloning as well?” he asked.
The main raised his brow upon seeing the enthusiasm, “Yes, I studied the in depth workings so that I can make my own technology. As for cloning, that is the most basic principle to which bioengineering encases. True bioengineering is genetic manipulation through the use of technology or magic. Although I personally have no mana I use magic technology in its place. My masterpiece shall be the weapons I am currently making for Leah.” He said.
“Then how do you stabilize clones?” Tony asked with some expectation.
“Describe your cloning process.” He asked. Tony explained everything from start to finish. “Hmph, novice error as usual. The way to stabilize is that ‘lightning’ that strikes the clone. It is mana concentrated and the clones are biological dungeon monsters. When you finally get the perfected cloning technique down where you can clone a perfect clone where the lifespan is the same as the real creature the biological spawns will appear. They will spawn through the cloning process but you need to properly make each and every one of them.” Pelonius said.
“That lightning is mana meaning I need to use mana 1 whole day to make them stable?” He asked.
“Exactly.” Pelonius nodded. “You can also use that lightning to modify the clone making them better. You have wingless Imps so besides evolving them to winged imps, once they reach half a day through their growth cycle, if you add two bolts on it’s back, it will develop wings. You can also aim more on the horns which will make it be born with larger mana capacity and it would be easier to teach magic.” He said.
“Brother, you said they were dungeon spawns so I don’t need to enslave them each time?” Leah asked.
“No, they are naturally docile unlike common underground dungeon where there is a fight for survival. You can get fighters though but actively training them and feeding them properly making them evolve differently. By using evolved imp DNA you can keep a steady stream of strong imps without needing to breed them and always possess strong ones.” He said.
“Will brother be doing that?” She asked.
“No, my main focus is bioengineering weapons. I am trying to make living weapon handguns but they are complex. It won’t be needed and I can adapt with Wolfy’s attachment to magical spawns. The nanites, although weak small, when given material they will naturally grow their own number in a swarm. Making some swarms will let her make small bugs to monitor as well as giving her enough nanites to builder her body.” he said.
“Stop calling me Wolfy! I’m not a wolf! I am Adalwolfa Bon Bibonina, the great witch…” She began but was stopped.
“Yes I know, but until you call my name properly you will be called like that. The same goes for Stuss.” He said.
“Oi!” Tony shouted.
“Now now, let’s not start arguing again.” Nelim said trying to calm everyone down.
“Hmph, well whatever, Pelonius was it? Mind sharing what you know about magic tech? And hopefully show me a better model cloning device so that I can control the cloning and maybe even make my own body.” Tony asked.
“You want to bioengineer a flesh and blood body?” Pelonius asked.
“Well you will need the DNA of any sentient being, both male and female so that you can properly see the difference. Then you will need a special type of changer which will exist alongside your holder. You should already know about the Dungeon Lord spawner right?” He asked.
“I saw it yes but the price is 230,000 mp.” He said.
“Exactly, that is the one you need to acquire, for now practice your cloning technique, it will be better for you to simply spawn nanites like Wolfy and use them for a temporary body. You will need to modify the body making it stronger by a lot so that you can properly defend the ship. Most that use human as a model go for an android humanoid or go with cyborg where they make a human body then add the machines. If you want monsters it is up to you.” He said.
While Tony and Pelonius talked, with the latter also having a bunch of screens Tony brought up which were the same thing Leah did but couldn’t categorize really complex parts, Adalwolfa was talking with the girls.
“... even if you don’t want my cultivating but at least let me help you with magic.” She asked depressed.
“But… our systems are different to yours right?” Nelim said. Being a magic race she was also given the option to cultivate the strange mana cultivation technique.
“I did have a small look, it isn’t to far off, the only difference is that you all know the principals of what happens during the spells making them stronger. I can learn those quickly but I know lots of spells both weak and strong and I am quite a good manipulator. Just wait and see when I finally get a full sized body I will be amazing.” She said.
The girls laughed at the palm sized witch.
“Hey Leah, why not use the imps to experiment with this.” Mirella said.
“That would be good, we don’t know if the technique even works in this world.” Leah said and looked at Tony and Pelonius who were talking serious unlike before and Pelonius was teaching Tony about magic technology while Tony was soaking it up like a sponge while also returning to the researching with his own programming knowledge whenever it appeared.
“Adal, do you want to record all your knowledge, we have a grimoire that can store everything at a touch.” She said.
“What is a Grimoire?” She asked.
“It’s a magic book that magic users from our universe use to store their studied magic. Leah is a really good student and learned lots so maybe you can learn some from that and also share your own knowledge. Even things you might have forgotten can be recorded if it is magic based.” Nelim said.
“Oh~! Really, since those two bone heads are talking show me to this Grimoire I want to see how hard this magic from your world is.” She said excited.
Like that the girls excuse themselves and leave the two men while the girls go see the little witch’s magic.
