Mirella PoV
With Leah asleep I meet up with Tony and Nelim in the kitchen.
I sit down and let out a deep sigh.
“This is really serious.” Nelim muttered.
“That’s an understatement. A mage without control is just a monster or worse.” Tony said making us both glare at his hologram.
“Shut up Tony, if you don’t have anything useful to say then don’t!” I said with a frown on my face.
“So how do we resolve this problem?” Nelim asked.
We all sit there without saying anything. Tony was messing with a few screens casually swiping them and looking through them.
“What if we try and get a power restraining ring?” Nelim asked.
“Not useful!” Tony suddenly said and several rings of the kind appeared. “They all restricted ALL our strength including physical strength and so on.”
“Can’t we get just a magic power restraint ring then?” I said and new screens popped up.
“Nope because it would just keep captain from using her magic. Her manipulation takes 1 mp and makes it super powerful so it does nothing.” Tony replied.
“So WHAT THEN!” I shouted
“Something like this.” Tony said and a screen appeared.
Magic affinity Restraint curse
A curse used to decrease the power of someone's affinity. The curse lasts 1 year and slowly unbinds with time. Will cause permanent loss of affinity for both caster and victim
WARNING!!!!
This monstrosity of a curse is considered a forbidden art and those found using them will be caught and jailed without trial.
“Do you want us to go to jail!” I spat out at him.
“It would be nice but no, if you remember what I said then you would understand.” Tony said without even looking at me.
What he said was “Something like this” so it means it’s similar but not exactly.
“So what do you plan?” I asked.
“I’m looking through the net to find stuff and see if I can make tech to fix this problem.” He said. From there he vanished and ignored us.
“Tony is a nice guy in disguise.” Nelim said in a soft voice and giggled.
I just sighed and smiled. “Let’s work to try and get this done.”
“Let’s go to the dungeon and gather up fish to give Tony mp to work with.” Nelim says.
“We already returned the storage units so let’s just leave it for tomorrow.” I say making her nod.
From there we go do our own thing.

Since Mirella didn’t want to go back to hunting today I went down to the cloning chamber to check out the clones.
They were already growing, I had used the best gene ones to see if they last the longest but to make them the strongest possible go to each changer and with either water or earth affinity magic power I let it flow through the each chamber.
Variant imps have longer life spans and are normally stronger than normal ones so having variants from the start already repair and improve the genes by a degree.
Only tomorrow would they reach birthing size and their skin is already forming so it is almost time. There is no immediate change but it was a progressive thing so after going through each and every one I check up on their conditions and then leave for the greenhouse and barn.
This is more of my specialty. In the greenhouse I look through all the seeds and separate by type before I start to plant them.
I then walk to the end of the room. There were two crystals at the end. One was yellow and one was blue. Each was for making water and light respectively. They each last 12 hours each. Each plant has specific amount of water it needs but as I planted them I already set up each plant's specific condition and so I touch both crystals and fill them to the brim.
With that the dim room turns bright as the sun lamps turn on. Sun lamps are like floating balls of light that release reduced amount of sunlight for each plant separately.
I sigh from a bit of mana exhaustion but get going nonetheless. I go to the animal pens and find the several pairs of animals we were given.
Tony had already made the feed for them so I spread it around for each specific animal feeding them just the right amount.
Thinking of the animals we gained, I grab a brush and begin to brush the Cockatice. If the farm was bigger I could remove those eggs that were in the cryogenic boxes and hatch them. Shame. Well I will just need to work a bit to get the distressing matters out.
When I finished I climbed up to the kitchen after checking on Leah before going to cook something warm that can cheer her up.

The stress of seeing her blunder once more was extremely mentally exhausting. Followed stress Leah used a lot of mental strength to control the power of her magic so she was even more tired. Falling in bed let her quickly fall asleep.
Some time later Nelim came and shook her awake with a soup with some herbs that aid with mana regeneration though Leah didn’t need that since her magic consumption was low.
Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
After eating she went back to sleep because her head was still pounding and let the crew do as they please.
Long after the sun had set a shadow carefully stalked outside the ship. Although there were lights and drones floating around guarding the ship which Tony was actively looking through this shadow was like a blur and quickly he reached the side of the ship.
He removed and small item and placed it on the hull and attached to wires through an electromagnetic cable that attached to the hull and activated.
“Good night.” He muttered before an intense pulse of electricity passed through the ship and all the drones collapsed as the ship's entire system was shot and Tony’s connection was temporarily cut.
The man had at most a few minutes to finish his objective so he quickly grabbed his tool and ran and reached the door and opened it. Inside he released small mechanical scout bugs and began to ran around until he found the emergency stairs and quickly ran to the top floor. Carefully stalking he finally reached the captain's room. Without making any noise he entered and closed the door before standing and walking to the door.
He looked at the ring and it shined momentarily before a small box 40 cm long appeared with a letter attached. He put it down and turned before learning the room and finally the ship before disappearing into the shadows.
After another minute Tony was finally able to reconnect and repaired the power before instantly turning on the alarms inside the ship waking everyone.
“Stupid! What is with the alarm!” Leah shouted as she woke up with a startle.
“SOMEONE BROKE IN!” Tony shouted as all the drones began to rush through the corridors.
Leah was about to run out when she stopped just as she jumped off her bed and saw the black box and letter.
She blinked not remembering such a thing and carefully she took it. Carefully she opened the letter and instantly holographic screen appeared.
“Wha! A holomessage?!” She muttered and looked at the message.
Dear my sweet little sister,
I was watching our ‘dear’ fathers movements since he disowned you and seems he is being quite bad. Although big brother can’t support you during the time you were at the academy I secretly researched magic technology. It was much harder than I originally thought since I needed to learn to make it without being able to control magic. You know, I don’t have your affinity. Anyways after 10 years of research I was finally able to make the first of my working prototypes. I call it the Living Black Parasite Wand. The name seems morbid but it's quite nice. The wand has a curse that weakens the affinity of the wielder by more than 50%. It also doesn’t have side effects like the Magic Affinity Restraint curse which I had originally researched to try and learn about to see if I could help you.
The Living Black Parasite Wand was made from Black Treant branch, Black Dragon blood and the veins of the Corrupt Magic Python. If there is anything that deserves to be called a cursed weapon it's this but for you it's a blessed weapon. That said it's a prototype living weapon with 3 growth stages. Bad right even when such high grade material was used but the curse degraded it greatly. Still this wand is unique because it doesn’t need a crystal, you can properly train to control your magic with this wand until you have much greater control with this. Big bro is even thinking of making rifle and pistols but the wand is already hard enough. What do you think there is a one time response space below so you can type up your message and I will receive it but then father might have the signal and you will have to wait for my next delivery.
Your dear brother Pelonius Ulkina Biswal
Please type your message below
Tears began to run down Leah’s eyes as she read the message and she saw her prodigy of a brother once more care for her with all the care of the world and couldn’t help cry once more but this time with joy. The others came in upon hearing her cries and noticed the message.
“What is this?” Mirella asked.
“My… my brother sent me a gift.” Leah said and showed them the message.
The two girls smiled, “See Leah you still have a loving family member.” Nelim said.
“OI! WHAT ABOUT ME! I WAS SHOCKED AND DISCONNECTED AND NO ONE CARES ABOUT ME!” Tony shouted.
“Did anything get damaged?” Leah asked.
“No!” He shouted.
“Then why are you complaining, he probably had to remain hidden to not alert my father.” Leah replied and Tony sneered.
“Let’s see this strange cursed wand.” Mirella said.
Leah nodded and took the box opening it up to find a black wand without a stone at the top. She carefully passed her hand on the smooth glossed wood before taking it and feeling a very powerful force enter her body.
To the others they saw a thin black mist come out and enter her body and instantly her unique purple colored hair with the mystic hue dulled to a somewhat dull pink with a weak purple shine to it no longer a glowing hue.
“Wow! It even changed your visible appearance caused by your affinity!” Nelim said in shock.
“Your brother sure is a genius for being able to make this without being able to use magic.” Mirella said in shock.
Leah looked down and smiled gently as she slowly controlled her magic and used the wand to make a small waterball. The water gathered in front of the wand's tip forming a ball of water that was 4cm in diameter.
“Wow it really did reduce her affinity.” Nelim said. “Can I see?” She asked and Leah nodded giving it to her.
The color in Leah’s hair returned to her unique color instantly once her hand was off the wand and instead Nelim’s skin turned from slight green to human flesh while her hair also turned paler. She also seemed much weaker and began to shiver and dropped the wand shivering.
“T-that thing… is scary.” She muttered.
“It seems it was made for only people like Leah.” Mirella said and grabbed it and soon the same thing happened.
“I should include this in my message to brother, he would probably want to know this.” Leah said and picked up the letter and touched the bottom table were a keyboard appeared and Leah began to type.
Dear Brother,
Thank you for the wand, although there is a somewhat… bad side effect on other people for me it works just right and reduces my affinity but returns it once I lose contact from it. When other people touch it… I think staying they feel a demonic like presence is the best example. I don’t get this side effect but it does make my hair visibly duller since my affinity makes it that color originally.
As for making a living weapon without being a mage, as expected of you, even though you used such high quality material and got 3 stages of growth it is amazing since you can’t use magic to make them. You should be careful to not encroach on forbidden arts just for me, with this wand by itself I can use my ship AI to research have to copy your technique maybe, as for making rifles, don’t overdue it. You still have your own research to worry about and if you start to focus too much on magic technology father will discover and all your efforts will go up in flames.
Don’t forget, a handgun and rifle I don’t have a problem since they have a predetermined power setting and I already trained greatly, no big weapons okay since I only use handguns and rifles. With some training though I can become a real mage.
Good luck with father and the others and be careful, you’re the best one in that family so don’t get hurt please.
Your little sister Leah.
Pressing the send the message blinks into an envelop and after a moment it vanishes.
Letting out a sigh and smiling she looked at the others, “Let’s go to sleep.” Leah says and yawned before taking the wand and storing it in the box. The three nod and Leah says sorry for what her brother did and they each return to their own beds with Leah falling asleep full of smiles.
Within Rokita’s capital, within the Biswal house, a man sat looking at a small device in his palm and suddenly it lit up and he looked at it and smiled.
Slowly he read it and slowly a gentle glow appeared in his face.
“So gentle such a shame to be born in this family.” He muttered.
He pressed a button and saved the message before putting it in a secret compartment and sat back against his chair with a big wide smile.
“Maybe it’s time I left, it's to insupportable here.” He said and thought of his sister and the files he saw of the ship. It was still to small and lacked to many things that he needed but that isn’t a bad thing but he could also get his own ship and his own core and build a personal research ship that he can use to hunt down materials for his sister instead of just following her.
“Although it’s insupportable I will wait a bit.” He said and spun his chair and looked at the pair of half built handguns and a rifle. Both had black exteriors and any transparent part was red in color. These were researched cursed living guns that he was building for her. Each and every part was built to bring magical life and even now they were considered living so once complete they would be masterpieces. He looked to the side at the few cylinder tanks at different wands or staffs.
“I think I really should be careful to not enter forbidden arts research, it would very quickly tie a noose around my neck and kick the chair from under me.” He said and walked over and read the readings, “I need to make some changes, Leah can use these but it causes mental distortions for other people and that is dangerous.”
Like that he began to work at a rapid pace to deal with the new problem that had arisen.
