It's currently the 13th lap of the race and four drivers are currently competing for the win. Nadya of Kindhal Odin Autosports is in P1, Alice Shah of Akinabalu Motorsports in P2, Kara Fujiwara of Nissan Motorsport in P3, and Richard Riverson of Riverson Racing team in P4. They are all determined to win and are about to give it their all in this race. Meanwhile, another force was emerging from the back ranks. Asasi Sugimoto who started in P25 has made his way to P14 and was rapidly climbing the ranks.
They completed the 13th lap and now onto the 14th. Nadya looked at her side mirrors and saw Alice's BMW M6 GT3 behind her. She smirked slightly seeing her behind her.
"Alice Shah huh? I haven't had an opponent as determined as you. This has been fun but it's time to get serious." Nadya muttered.
While they approached the hairpins, Nadya noticed that Alice had moved slightly to the middle. She decides to go slightly into the middle to block Alice from doing anything. As they got near to the hairpins, Alice went to the left side, Nadya seeing this from a mile away decided to close the gap. But suddenly everything turned black and white for her.
"W-Wait... This feeling... Could it be?" Nadya muttered.
She looked to her side and saw the M6 suddenly lunging into the corner. Nadya was shocked to see her faked a move and moved beside her. But for some reason, she felt a familiar feeling from before. She looked at the car and saw a glimpse of another driver.
"J-Jalil..." She muttered under her breath.
Everything returned back to color and Alice took the lead away from Nadya. She was still stunned from seeing the person from before but quickly composed herself and turned into the corner.
"Was that his spirit just now? How long has it been since I first saw you?" Nadya muttered.
Richard and Kara were driving through the straights and she noticed that Richard was making a move on her. As they began trail braking into the corners, she noticed that Richard had taken the inside of the first hairpin. Kara knows that if she doesn't get ahead of him, he will get the inside of the third hairpin and take her spot. Richard was slightly ahead of her as they began turning into the second hairpin.
"Damn it, I'm going to lose a position here. I'll just let him pass me instead of sacrificing my tire's grip. I'll take him on the straights after this." Kara muttered to herself.
Richard saw Kara moving out of the way and letting him through. He smirked slightly and took it within a second. He passed Kara and exited the third hairpin.
"So she's just willingly giving up her place huh? Thanks a lot." Richard muttered.
They began racing on the first straights of Sector 3. Alice was currently ahead of Nadya, while Kara was tailgating Richard. On the straights, Kara decided to make her move and exited Richard's slipstream. She slowly crept beside the Ferarri and began moving beside it. Richard noticed her moving inside his and tried to outpace her on the straights.
Once they reach the braking zone, Richard unexpectedly brakes early. Kara tried to fight him by hard braking in the corner but failed to execute it. She enters Chicane a bit slower whilst Richard enters with full momentum. Once they got back on the second straight, she saw Richard begin passing her again. Kara felt a bit frustrated at herself as she let Richard retake the lead like that.
"Damn it, I was too focused on him and missed my braking zone. I need to focus more and stop making dumb mistakes!" Kara muttered to herself.
While the leaders were fighting amongst each other, Sugimoto was battling with other drivers behind him. He was still in P14 and saw Richard's teammate who had dropped a few places. They were on the first straights of Sector 3 and suddenly Richard's team received a radio transmission.
"Do not let Sugimoto pass at all cost. This is a team order." Their team principal told them.
The driver agrees to it and decides to defend against Sugimoto. As Sugimoto was going to pass him on the straights, his car suddenly blocked him from passing him. Sugimoto moved again and the car weaved in front of him. Sugimoto felt a bit angered as the person was violating the no-swerving rule. As any defending driver could only defend once.
"This guy is really getting on my nerves. I'll show them." Sugimoto angrily muttered.
As they approach the chicane. He went to the middle of the track, which the driver saw as an attempt to pass him. he went to block Sugimoto once more. As they were on the chicane, he noticed that the black Porsche disappeared from behind him. The driver was shocked to see the car seemingly disappear into thin air. Suddenly at the corner of their eyes, they saw the Porsche on their inside. Upon exiting the corner, they made slight contact with each other. Sugimoto soon passed him and celebrated slightly.
"Yeah, that's what I'm talking about baby!" He said to himself.
Sugimoto has gotten into P13 and left the driver behind him. The driver was still in a state of shock. As they were composing themselves, they received a transmission from their team.
"Commit to the team, take him out on a picnic." Their team principal said.
The driver was surprised when he heard the phrase. It was a codeword to take out a driver and cause a crash. They responded with a furious response but were soon silenced by the team.
"Don't fight against team orders. We will take action if you don't." They told them.
The driver reluctantly complied with them and began chasing Sugimoto. Once they approached the corner, Sugimoto noticed that the car was out of the ideal line and was faster than usual. The driver of the Riverson Racing team thought Sugimoto would cross paths and collide with them. Sugimoto significantly slowed his car to the point that he had to stop completely. The driver soon ended up on the grass and nearly hit the barriers.
"Holy hell was that guy trying to kill me?" Sugimoto muttered slightly in a surprised tone.
He soon moved on and continued the race as usual. He lost a few precious seconds but he was lucky to have gotten out of there in one piece. He continued his dominating drive and got to pass another driver on his way to complete the 14th lap. He is now in P12.
While Sugimoto was fighting his own battles, Alice and Nadya were in a dogfight as both drivers didn't back off. They were like glue, always sticking to each other and not letting go. They battled with each other as they got side by side on a few sectors but Nadya couldn't seem to pass her. As they were battling, they noticed Richard and Kara had finally caught up to them. They are now back together and began driving together in a 4-car draft on the straights of sector 1.
The Crowds cheered as they saw the leaders move together as one throughout the straights at high speeds. They could feel the breeze coming off from the sheer speed of the cars. The Trio were resting this time and they watched Alice being in the lead of the race.
"That's my girl!" Raani screamed.
"Get 'em, Alice!" Airi screamed.
"Make us proud!" Aini screamed.
As they were screaming from the stands, an interviewer came onto the stands and headed towards them.
"You three must be hardcore fans of Alice. Can we ask you three a few questions?" The interviewer asked.
They looked at each other, seemingly surprised that the interviewer picked them. They all nodded and they began their interview.
"So what made you girls come down here to support Alice Shah?" The interviewer asked one of the girls.
Raani without a second thought answers immediately.
"We want to support our girl Alice!" Raani told her.
"I see. That's pretty wholesome. So you three must be her best friends huh?" The interviewer asked.
"Well of course we are." Raani answers.
The narrative has been taken without permission. Report any sightings.
"Alright then, next question. Do you think she will get on the podium for this round of the ROA Cup?" They asked one of the girls.
Aini was the one being asked and she began thinking of a way to answer them.
"Well, considering her victory at the first race. We are confident she could even get first place! As we can see, Alice is currently in first place." Aini told confidently.
"Ah, feeling confident are we? So onto the final question. This is a personal question and we'd like to spice things up. Since you're friends with Alice Shah, can you tell us if she has anyone she likes, like a secret admirer or perhaps someone more dearer?" The reporter asked.
Airi grabs the microphone with confidence. She took a deep breath before talking on the microphone.
"Well of course she does, it ---" As Airi was talking, a loud group of cars suddenly passed them, They couldn't hear what she was talking about.
"And that's all." Airi told them.
The interviewers didn't hear a single bit but were confident that the microphone might have picked it up and nodded slightly.
"Well then girls, that's all we needed. Thanks for giving us your time." The reporter told them.
Sugimoto has passed a few more cars and is currently in the points. He is now in P10 and could expect to get at least a point for the constructors championship. It is currently lap 16 and there are a few more laps to complete. While they were in Sector 4, Richard began fighting with Nadya for P2. He began trying to squeeze himself beside the Huracan but couldn't go through.
As they entered the C-shaped section of Sector 4, he got on her side and crept up on the inside of the Huracan. Nadya seeing him slowly going side by side began feeling the pressure of her competition. Upon entering the chicane, the 296 GT3 took the outside of the chicane while the Huracan GT3 took the inside. The Ferarri managed to get more speed out of the chicane and emerged ahead of the Huracan.
"Seems like Richard has passed Nadya. I just need to get as far as I can and I could probably win the race!" Alice muttered to herself.
Kara who was now behind Nadya felt like she could overtake her on the straights and committed to it. The GTR began battling the Huracan on the straights of Sector 1 and followed her closely from behind. As they got to the braking zone, Nadiya took the normal line while Kara took a completely different line. She suddenly went to the inside curb and began seemingly hooking her wheels onto the curb. Nadya was turning into the corner but couldn't as Kara blocked her path.
They battled it out on the hairpins but Kara managed to defend well. Nadya who was at P1 has unexpectedly dropped to P4. She felt that she had severely underestimated her opponents which may have contributed to her position's suffering.
"These drivers are faster than I thought, I would've expected Kara to fall down the ranks but she's just as good as Alice." She muttered to herself.
She has accepted that she might not win the race but she wasn't ready to give up. She became more determined to prove herself and began chasing Kara on the straight of sector 3.
Alice and Richard are currently in a battle with each other. Richard has finally caught up with Alice and has been putting pressure on her. As they were on the second straight of sector 3. Richard moved his car out of the slipstream and slowly crept beside Alice. As they approach the corner, they both trail brake and he manages to get ahead of her. She decides to contact the team through team radio.
"Hey Gaz, how many laps are there left?" She asked.
"There are 6 laps left. Get ready for the final battle on the remaining laps. Keep your head low and show them what you got!" Richard told him.
"Thanks, Gaz. I'll concentrate now." Alice said to him.
She followed the red Ferarri 296 GT3 closely, using the slipstream but didn't commit to a move as they entered each sector of the circuit. Richard was faster on the straights but Alice caught up on the corners of the race.
Kara and Nadya were battling for third place with Kara currently ahead of her. Nadya began tailgating the GTR closely to attempt an overtake on her. As they got onto the straight of Sector 1, Nadya went beside her and was slowly getting ahead of her. Kara was trying to push her car to the limits but couldn't take on Nadya on the straights. Kara lets Nadya through the hairpins while she follows closely behind.
"Damn, I need to get in front of her before a straight if I want to win this race." Kara muttered to herself.
As she muttered that phrase, she noticed a car slowly appearing from the horizon in her mirrors.
"Who is that? They're getting pretty close now." Kara muttered.
She couldn't make it out on who it was and kept driving. But slowly and surely, the car got closer. There, she realized who it really was.
"A-Asahi? H-How did he do it!?" Kara said in a surprised tone.
Sugimoto has made it to P5 after overtaking countless other drivers. He is now among the top 5 drivers in the race. He was still hungry for more positions and Kara knew how much he wanted to take it from her. Kara knew who she was dealing with and started smiling lightly.
"Welcome back old friend. Let's dance once more." Kara said in a determined voice.
The Black Porsche and the Nissan Livery GTR began their battle through the hairpins. He followed closely behind her as she navigated through the twists and turns of the hairpins. As they got on the straights, the 911 got behind the GTR and followed it throughout it. When they were about to reach the chicane, the Porsche got beside her and entered the chicane together. The Porsche was ahead of the Nissan and she followed him closely.
As they approached the corner, the GTR got beside it and entered it together with 911. Kara is now ahead of the Porsche and feels a bit proud of herself. She managed to tame Sugimoto for the entire lap and held him off.
"Holy crap, I did it. I actually defended against Asashi." She muttered.
They battled more right after they exited the chicane. Nadya on the other hand was just catching up to Richard and Alice who were battling for first place. Four laps were remaining and now it's a sprint for first place.
Richard is currently in front of the pack and defends vigorously against Alice. They continue onto the straights where Alice attempts to overtake him but is outpaced. Alice thought Richard was the least of his worries until she noticed Nadya had caught up with them.
"Crap, Nadya is here now. I need to get in front before Nadya passes me or my chances of winning are doomed." Alice muttered.
As they reach Sector 4. Alice began chasing Richard throughout the twists and turns. There she managed to get beside him but couldn't pass. Alice grew frustrated that she couldn't pass him.
"Damn it, I can't pass him! Three more laps left. That's all the chances I have left." Alice muttered to herself.
Nadya was getting ever so slightly closer to them. Alice was getting more frustrated. She felt like she had already lost. As they got onto the straights of Sector 1, everything slowed down and she saw her friends dancing with the light sticks. She felt her heart warming up and felt a bit more determined. She also noticed the manager was also with them and she chuckled slightly seeing them.
Nadya who was still behind her notices everything has turned black and white once again. She didn't understand why it kept happening but only noticed Alice's car suddenly turning into a Z4 GT3.
"H-His car... Why does it always happen to Alice? Is she really who I think she really is?" Nadya muttered.
Everything resumed back to normal and Alice became more determined than ever. There were 3 laps left to go and she decided to give it her all. They entered the hairpins together and Alice followed behind him. After exiting the hairpins, they stick together on the straights. Nadya began her attack and exited the slipstream. Alice went slightly to the middle to block Nadya from overtaking her. As they approach the chicane, Nadya can't commit to the overtake and decides to back out.
"Alice really isn't making it easy for me huh?" Nadya muttered.
As they continued onto the second straight, Alice began her attack against Richard. While they were approaching the corner, Alice stepped out of the slipstream and tried to go beside him. Richard saw this coming and decided to defend by going slightly to the middle. As he went to the middle, Alice immediately went back onto the ideal line and turned into the corner with Richard. This slight mistake by Richard is enough for Alice to get beside him immediately in sector 4.
"Great, now I just need to win this battle." Alice muttered.
They went side by side with Alice having the inside line throughout Sector 4. They soon approached the chicane and slowed down slightly. Alice had the better line and managed to get ahead of the race. The crowds cheered for them as they completed the 24th lap.
"2 more laps Alice, just two more laps!" She muttered to herself.
The Ferarri tries to overtake the BMW but Alice manages to get onto the hairpins first. She skillfully navigates the hairpins and exits it with a slight gap between Richard. Alice was in full flow and she didn't utter a word. The car behind her follows her and uses the slipstream. Richard was about to attack but suddenly she noticed that Nadya had already gotten beside him. They battled until the chicane. Alice manages to get through in peace while Richard and Nadya battle it out. There, Alice extended her leads slightly and Nadya got ahead of Richard.
Kara and Sugimoto have been switching positions throughout their battles. It wasn't clear who was in control. Kara was currently ahead of Sugimoto, and he was not ready to give up. The battle for fourth place continues between them.
The marshall waved the white flag, indicating that they were on their final lap. Alice, Nadya, and Richard are battling for first place. Alice was under so much pressure as Nadya was right behind her with Richard. As they get onto the hairpins, Alice masterfully defends against the drivers on the hairpins. They got onto the straights and Nadya began slipping out of the slipstream and taking the first spot from Alice.
"Nadya is likely to overtake me here. I need to prepare for a switchback." Alice muttered.
Nadya got ahead of Alice and began braking into the chicane. What she didn't expect was for Richard to also follow suit and overtake her. She watched in horror as she saw both cars had passed her.
"N-No..." Alice muttered slightly.
"This isn't the end." She muttered once more.
Alice began chasing them back on the straights and entered the slipstream. As they reached the chicane, everything stood still for Alice once again. She noticed that they had their brake lights lit up. There she decided to swerve to the right and passed Nadya. She immediately passed her and it left her speechless. She managed to retake second place. She began attacking Richard on the twisty corners of the sector. He noticed the BMW was already beside him and it sent shivers down his spine. They began going side by side on the C-Curve and Alice was on the outside of it. Meaning she will have the inside of the chicane.
Richard was out of options, if he didn't do anything here, he'd lose the race. He began trying to squeeze Alice little by little to the outside to cause her to bail. But despite this, Alice didn't move out an inch away from him. Richard looked surprised as both of their cars were almost touching.
"Hurry up, move we'll both crash!" He said internally.
Alice remained composed and didn't bulge. Richard seeing that he couldn't make Alice move, decides to back off. Alice entered the chicane with great accuracy and began moving towards the finish line. She looked at her mirrors and saw both cars behind her. She became overjoyed as she crossed the finish line. Alice Shah has won Round 2 of the ROA Cup!
