Alice arrives at her school and immediately notices that something is off. The atmosphere is different and it makes her shiver. She enters the school building and sees that everyone there is receiving chocolate left and right, Alice realizes that the thick atmosphere from before was in fact, love. Alice makes her way into her classroom and it's not more different from the outside, the girls inside are giving chocolate to their admirers. Alice went to her desk and placed her head on it. As usual, Raani greets her.
"Hey, there Alice, Happy Valentine's Day!" Raani told her.
Raani places her homemade chocolate on Alice's desk and Alice looks up and sees chocolate inside a little bag.
"You made this Raani?" Alice said as she lifted her head.
"Yup, I made this one just for you Alice!" Raani told her while smiling.
"Huh, how considerate. Maybe I'll try a piece or two." Alice said to her.
Alice popped a piece of chocolate into her mouth and noticed the bittersweetness of the candy. She savors the taste of the chocolate and notices that it is dark chocolate, one of her favorites. Alice was enjoying the chocolate until she noticed Raani smirking at her.
"So how is it?" Raani asked Alice teasingly.
"I-it's good I guess, I'm surprised you made me dark chocolate tho." Alice told her.
"Thanks. I remember back in our junior days, you hated milk chocolate. So every year on Valentine's, I give you different kinds of chocolate until I find one you like. Last year it was dark chocolate and you liked it." Raani revealed to her.
"You're treating me as if it's a Bingo game." Alice told her.
As they were talking, they heard loud ruffling from the corridor, they directed their attention to the door and the door slid open. They saw Aini bringing 2 big sacks of chocolate into the classroom, Airi was behind her carrying a third stack.
"Peace!" Aini said in a joyful mood.
"Yo." Airi casually said before entering.
"T-That's a lot of chocolate for someone that said they don't celebrate Valentine's." Raani teases her.
"I'm not celebrating Valentine's, I'm celebrating charity!" Aini told her.
"By giving away chocolate?" Raani asked her.
"Yep!" Aini confidently answered.
"I feel like there's a different agenda here." Alice muttered slightly.
During recess, the school was lively with people handing out chocolate to their admirers. A boy in their class got a bucket load of chocolate on his desk, while others were not so lucky. Aini began handing out chocolate to every student in class before packing up her bag to go class to class.
"Alright, my charity mission has begun, Raani come and help assist me!" AIni told them.
"Alright! Time to spread love to everyone here!" Raani told her.
They both exited the classroom to begin their mission to give everyone chocolate at school. Alice notices that Airi is looking a bit down.
"Hey Airi, what's wrong?" Alice asked her.
"Ah me? There's nothing wrong with me!" Airi said flusteredly.
"Come on Airi, you can tell me. It's about that boy isn't it?" Alice teases her.
"H-How did you know? Wait, No! I mean kinda-" Airi stumbles on her word.
"Ah, so I was right? So what's wrong?" Alice asked her.
"Well I was about to hand over my homemade chocolate this morning but I didn't hand it over to him because he was talking to another girl." Airi revealed to her.
"Okay and then what happened?" Alice asked feeling engrossed in the story.
"Then I ran away." Airi told her.
"What? Why would you run away? Don't you both already like each other?" Alice asked her.
"Well he has always been the quiet type, but seeing him talking to other girls somehow makes me feel, wrong. Like he doesn't want me anymore." Airi told her.
"Is that all?" Alice casually asked her.
"Yeah, that's it. I sometimes feel like I'm in the way of his interest. It feels as if our love for each other isn't genuine." Airi told her while trying to hold back her tears.
"Jeez Airi, if you really love him, just meet him on the rooftop or something. If both of your love is genuine, he would definitely accept it." Alice told her.
Airi's eyes suddenly lit up the moment she said that.
"Does that mean you can help set it up!?" Airi asked her.
The narrative has been taken without permission. Report any sightings.
Alice was caught off guard by Airi's sudden shift of tone.
"M-Me? I don't even know that guy well!" Alice told her.
"Come on, just say you want him to meet me on the rooftop." Airi told her.
"You say it as if it's an easy job, why don't you do it then?" Alice said to her.
"Alice please I beg you!" Airi said on her knees.
"F-Fine, I'll tell him to meet you on the rooftop after school. You owe me one, got it?" Alice reluctantly said.
"Thank you, Alice!" Airi said feeling a wave of relief.
Alice reluctantly got up from her desk and walked out of the class. Alice hesitantly walked over to his class and peeked through the door. She saw him still at his desk while reading a book, she gathered her courage and went inside the class approaching him.
"Alright Alice, just say that Airi wants to meet you on the rooftop, simple as that." Alice muttered to herself.
Alice walks over to his desk and places her hand on it. The boys look at her standing in front of him.
"Can I help you?" The boy asked her.
"Yeah, Airi wants to see you on the rooftop after school." Alice told him.
"M-Me? Are you sure?" The boy asked.
"Yeah who else, don't forget." Alice told him.
Alice swiftly walks out of the class without a single word after that. As she was walking in the hallways, she noticed Raani and Aini still handing out chocolate to students, teachers, and janitors.
"Man, they're still handing out chocolate huh?" Alice muttered to herself.
Alice went to her class and saw Airi still waiting for her to return. Alice went up to her and told her the news.
"I've already told him to meet at the rooftop. Don't fumble this up okay?" Alice told her.
"Thanks Alice! Can I ask for one more thing?" Airi asked her again.
"What is it?" Alice asked.
"Can you come with me after school? I need someone to support me!" Airi asked her.
"M-Me? But I already helped set you up! Besides, I got training after school." Alice complains to her.
"It will just be for a short while, please Alice I beg you!" Airi said to her.
Alice began thinking about it and reluctantly agreed.
"Fine, but this is the final time. You owe me big time." Alice told her.
Airi's eyes sparkled as she said that.
"Yes! Thanks, Alice!" Airi said to her.
After school, Alice and Airi went up to the rooftop where Airi began preparing herself mentally.
"Alright Airi, just say you want to give him the chocolate you made, got it?" Alice told Airi while massaging her shoulders.
"Alright, let me get my chocolate real quick." Airi told her.
Airi reached into her backpack and noticed that the chocolate was missing, she began panicking and searched through her bag but with no luck. Then she realized where she left it.
"A-Alice, I left it at the locker!" Airi told Alice.
"W-What!? You left it at such a critical moment!" Alice told her slightly panicking.
Airi immediately ran down the stairs to grab the chocolate and left Alice alone on the rooftop. Alice tried to call her name but was too late. Alice stands there as she waits for her to return.
"Man, that girl is a pain to deal with. Romance is such a pain." Alice muttered to herself.
Alice looked around the rooftop and went over to the fence that overlooked the city, she noticed that Mount Akinabalu was covered under thick clouds. She felt a bit happy when she felt a small breeze in her hair while looking at the city.
"Man this really feels like an anime scene, it feels like I'm the one confessing instead of Airi." Alice chuckled as she muttered to herself.
"Are you the girl from before?" A familiar voice asked her.
Alice noticed the voice and turned around to see Airi's boyfriend standing in front of her. Alice felt relieved to see him.
"Ah yes, I am. Just hold on for a bit will ya?" Alice told him.
"If it's about a confession, you can forget about it alright?" The boy told her.
Alice froze in shock as she heard the boy say that to her. Alice looks at him in confusion as to what he is talking about.
"W- What are you talking about?" Alice asked him in a confused tone.
"You said you really wanted to see me on the rooftop after school right?" The boy told her.
Alice is now even more puzzled about what he is talking about.
"W-Why is he saying I wanted to meet him? Did I say something wrong?" Alice thought to herself.
Alice began putting the pieces together and tried to remember what she said to him.
"I only said Airi wants to see you on the rooftop after school. Wait... Ai-Ri wants to see you... Did he think I said I really wanted to see him after school?!" Alice thought to herself and began panicking.
"So, what do you want to say to me then?" The boy asked her.
Alice began panicking about the misunderstanding and began trying to tell him it was a misunderstanding.
"N-No, it's not what you think!" Alice told him.
"I think I know what you're going to say. You were going to say that you liked me, weren't you?" The boy told her.
Alice froze again and didn't know what to say. It was all just a huge misunderstanding and she began stuttering on her words.
"N-No dude, it's just t-that-" Alice said but was cut off.
"No, I heard enough. I understand why you would fall for me, but I cannot accept your feelings, for I have someone else I love. That someone else that I love is Airi Amato." The boy told her.
Alice stood there not knowing what to do, she was cringing the entire time and couldn't take it anymore. Suddenly someone emerged from the stairs, and it was Airi. She stood there for a while before mustering up the courage and tears began falling on her face.
"I-I love you too!" Airi said to him.
The boy turns around and notices Airi. He went over to her and gave her a warm hug, they embraced each other and a radiant warmth could be felt by Alice even from a distance. Alice seizing the opportunity ran toward the stairs and got away from them. Alice was relieved that she managed to escape the situation. She made her way back to the classroom to pick up her belongings. There she notices Raani and Aini lying on the desk exhausted.
"Seems like you two finally finished handing out those chocolates huh?" Alice told them.
"Yep, we managed to give everyone at school our chocolate!" Aini told her.
"Wait, where's Airi?" Raani asked Alice.
"Ah, she became a lovebird and flew away." Alice revealed to them.
"Ah, I see, good to hear that." Raani said to her.
Alice looked at the empty sacks of chocolate on the floor and wondered how Aini managed to get a ton of chocolate in a single night.
"Say Aini, now that I think about it, where did you buy more chocolate?" Alice asked curiously.
"Oh, I actually went back to that chocolate store last night and bought more chocolate." Aini told her.
"Again? Just how much did you buy?" Alice asked concerningly.
"About 500 dollars worth of chocolate." Aini answered casually.
"500 dollars!?" Alice said in a shocked tone.
Alice was genuinely shocked to hear those figures but soon realized she was late to practice.
"Ah crap, I need to go guys, I don't want to be late for training." Alice told them.
"Ah is that so? Hold up I need to give you something." Aini told her.
Aini went over to her desk and grabbed the last chocolate bar from under her desk.
"Here, give this to your Senpai." Aini told her and handed her a chocolate bar.
"Ah don't worry, I already got one." Alice said casually.
Aini and Raani began smirking right after she said that. Alice starts slightly blushing after realizing what she had said to them.
"N-No I didn't mean it like that! I just thought that since he's my Senpai, it would be nice to get him something." Alice told them while flustering.
Raani got up and walked towards Alice. Raani placed her hands on her shoulder with a determined face.
"Go get 'em, tiger." Raani told her.
"ITS NOT LIKE THAT!" Alice screamed at Raani while flustering.
