Even though he blocked the kick the force still flung Mul a few meters back. Xtabay turned her sights on Nanette who held steady with her grandmother's katana held out in front of her. Xtabay vomited a torrent of scarlet flames at her daughter but the flames gravitated toward and wrapped around Notus. Nanette swung the blade and returned the flames to her mother. Xtabay's personality was suppressed by Piasa's mark. Only her base instincts and Piasa's will remained. But her base instincts knew that only her flames could burn her so she jumped back into the air only to be blasted away by a stream of air delivered by Mul. Xtabay crashed through the balcony and slid to a stop in the dirt below while Kay and the other attendants watched from the windows inside. "You okay?" Mul asked walking to stand at his daughter's side. "Yeah, I just don't like hurting her." Nanette replied. Mul chuckled. "Well I don't think we could kill her even if we tried. And luckily she's not all there mentally because if she were serious we probably wouldn't be standing here." Nanette watched as Xtabay climbed to her feet and screamed in rage causing the flames swirling around Nanette's blade burn more intensely startling her. Mul noticed and attempted to comfort her in his own way. "Here let me see that." He asked, his hand gesturing for her weapon. "I'll show you a trick with these things." Confused, Nanette handed him Notus. As Xtabay charged at them Mul pressed the two blades together and they melted into each other forming a long sword. Xtabay's flames still swirled around the new sword's blade. As Xtabay got closer to them Mul pointed the blade at her and a tornado of scarlet flames erupted around her lifting her into the air and trapping her inside. The two blades forcefully pushed themselves apart and Notus fell to the ground. "What happened?" Nanette asked, bending down to pick up the sword. "The four Anemoi blades used to be one weapon, so you can push any combination of them back into each other but it wont hold long without all four of them." Mul explained. Nanette smiled. "I never read any of that in the books grandmother has, how do you know so much about them?" "I'll tell you later, kid." Xtabay's screams grew deeper, calling Mul's attention back to her. In an explosion Xtabay shifted into her serpent form expelling the flames of the tornado away from her. Mul used Eurus to deflect the flames away from himself and Nanette. The rest landed amongst the rubble of the outer palace wall and balcony. "Shit, make a run for it Nanette." Mul ordered, but Xtabay gave them no time; she reared her head back in preparation to eviscerate them and the rest of the palace but froze in place. The symbols that adorned her scales began to burn brighter than ever for a few seconds before evaporating. Xtabay shifted back to her human form and fell unconscious with a thud into the ground. "Mother!" Nanette called out running to her side. "What I miss?" Oya asked, appearing beside Mul Startling him. " Dammit kid, I'm too old for you to be just appearing like that. What's that?" Mul asked, pointing to Oya's new scythe. "Oh just a memento." Oya answered before making it vanish. Kay and the other attendants rushed out of the palace and to Xtabay's side to carry her to her room.

A few days later Xtabay opened her eyes to the sight of her daughter sitting by her bed. "Nanette." She called out weakly. "Mother finally." Nanette hugged her mother tightly. "I was so worried. I tried to get in contact with Tai but no one knows where he's at." Xtabay pushed her daughter away and her eyes shifted. "What do you mean no one knows where he is." Her tone caused Nanette to hesitate. "Well Oya went and asked King Bonrue where Tai was and he said that he had vanished a few days ago. Him and some girl named Kash." Xtabay sat up in her bed. "Girl! What girl?" "I don't know." Nanette replied. "Oya said she was with him when he got to Uraeus." Xtabay put on her robe and stormed out of her room with Nanette closely behind her. "I knew I shouldn't have let him go there on his own. I knew some skanky tramp bitch would try and get her hooks into my baby." "Mother I don't think that's what's going on." Nanette tried to explain. But Xtabay ignored her. "Have Kay ready the airship I'm going to have a talk with King Bonrue myself." "Wait mother, can you even do that without alerting the other World Kings?" Nanette asked, now even more concerned. "If they have a problem they can find me in Uraeus!"
