A blink of the eye and now I am a Chapter Master (Adamant) to a Chapter of Space Marines that has gone renegade. It seems that the Chapter Master who's body that I am in now had found some Xenos device that was thought to be an Xenos STC. You might be wondering why would the Chapter master be poking around the Xenos STC rather than giving it to the Inquisition or even better the Adeptus Mechanicus. The answer is that this Chapter (Sun Spears) is very closely associated with the Adeptus Mechanicus hence a very heavy presence of Techmarine and the chapter master was also a Techmarine. This meant that the Chapter master was qualified (in his mind) to research this Xenos STC. Well as usual in 40k universe the Xenos STC tech did do something other than melt down. It some how has grabbed me (soul/consciousness) from my room on earth to this hell hole.

Well its either the Xenos STC or a ROB but I seem to have been given Gold Finger to. The powers that I have in addition to being a Space marines are:

Gamer Mind: So Nothing can influence my mind. I am unable to have extreme emotions. I am unable to turn this off. This also means I am not able to use the warp with my mind. Also nothing/no one can peak into my mind. I have lucked out on this as this means I am impervious to the ruinous powers.

Research Slot: Currently I have 2 research slots that I can use to research Technology. The more Knowledge I have about the subject that I am researching the quicker it is able to finish.

Scan Items: Able to scan 1 Item at a time. The more complicated or bigger it is the longer the time it will take.

Storage Space: I get 10 meter cube of storage space. No living being can be stored. No time passes in there.

So that is the good news the bad news is that we are a renegade chapter that means no support from the Imperial of Man. Also the reason we are renegade is as you guessed it the Xenos STC. Looks like the Adeptus Mechanicus some how found out about it and wanted it, the Chapter master had decided to give it over but after having a poke at it. This would have been still salvageable but then the Inquisition got involved and some how the whole having used a Xenos STC came to light and now we are declared Renegade. I am a sneaking suspicious this was pushed by some one up high in the Adeptus Mechanicus who was pissed off that the Chapter master did not give the Xenos STC to them and it is also a warning to other factions of not meddling in the Adeptus Mechanicus work. The whole Chapter were ambushed and only a few ships managed to flee into the warp.

Currently the Sun Spears chapter is severely understrength with only 5 Space Marine Company (around 500 Space marines) in total. These company are also made up of the leftovers from the original 10 Company. Thank god that this Chapter is Fleet Based, although the fleet has been hammered hard from its glory days. Currently the Fleet is made up of:

1 battle barge with total of 2 Space marine company. This is the main Ship, home to the Chapter master or shall I say my home. Overall in good shape as the void shields held during the ambush.

3 Strike Cruisers with each holding 1 Space marine company. Some minor to heavy damage.

8 Gladius Frigates: With a Squad of Space marines each deployed from their parent company. These all had medium to heavy damages.

So now that I have covered the history and survivors lets talk about me. I seem to be very calm and collected but let me tell you its all thanks to the gamer mind as I am not sure how many times I would have nervous break down by now. So currently I have access to Adamants' memories and boy that is some memories filled with suffering, war and devotion to the emperor. To be honest I think the Gamer Mind has buffered or melded my memories with Adamants' memories in such a way that I came out dominant. As I only have around 35 years worth of memories while Adamant has over 300 years of memories. If it was normal I think I would have been submerged under his memories. So the blended memories makes it seem to me as if I have lived through these 300 years and it was me who fought against he Xenos. This makes me have the same unshakable will power as Adamant but with diluted devotion to the emperor. I am very grateful for this as in my previous life I was just an IT person and in this universe I would have died very quickly otherwise. The other benefit of the blended memories is that I know who is everyone and I am able to fake being Adamant easily.

So we are still currently in the Warp and heading towards a solar system (Bermuda) that is way out. Our Travel time is expected to be around 6 months. During this period we will be focusing heavily on repairing the ship and taking inventory. I have already had meeting with the other Headquarter staff (Captain, Chaplain, Librarian, Techmarine, Apothecary) and the Navigators. Some of the highlights of the meeting were:

We Have been declared a renegade Space marine Chapter but we are still loyal to the Emperor (Big E). As otherwise I would have a rebellion with possibility of the Navigators living/being killed.

As such we will not be "Raiding" Imperial Worlds.

We will also "Try" to avoid any direct confrontation with the Imperial of Man.

We will travel to the Bermuda system and re access our goals.

I have not told anyone about my powers for obvious reasons. My plan during the 6 months of travel is to scan as much of the technology as I can. As I was/am a Techmarine I have a lot of knowledge already about the equipment/vehicle/weapons that I use. I do not have a lot of knowledge about the Ships or support equipment's.
