“Hey! It’s a waifu!”
“Don’t get so close to her. What if she mistakes you for a feral?”
“But she’s so cute. Look how big her …”
Roused from sleep, your pink eyes flit open. The face of a petite cat girl with cream-colored skin and green eyes comes into focus, her long red hair done up in a ponytail. The cute feline woman is pretty much crouched on top of you. Wait. A cat girl? A cat girl!
“What’s that over there?!” you blurt out in a panic, your blue twin tails jostling with the motion.
Her green eyes widen, and she turns (her expression eager). “Where! Where! I want to see it! Is it cool?!” She twists around, quite clearly taking in by the prospect of seeing something interesting. “Eep!” Her head slams into the dungeon wall as you yank her. She crumples to the floor, her head swimming. Now for the …
“Wait!” a voice yelps. “Stop hurting her! She’s a non-feral!” A tall tan-skinned elf with a sizable posterior frantically waves a staff around, desperately trying to get your attention. You turn to her, your pink eyes meeting her purple, her short hair a match for her eyes in color.

Sweatdropping with a pang of guilt running through you, you shift your gaze back to the cat girl. Said cat girl lies sprawled on the floor, her emerald eyes still a tad unfocused from the blow. “S-Sorry,” you offer awkwardly.

“N-No problem,” the dazed woman manages. “Shouldn’t have been crowding you while you slept. Just give the dungeon a moment to stop spinning.” A short while later, she sits up and shakes her head before climbing to her feet. “I’m Koko, but you probably already know that from my status.”
You nod, smiling at Koko’s happy demeanor. “I’m Ako. I’m guessing you can read the statuses too.”
“Yup!” She takes your hand, shaking it in a rather forceful, enthusiastic way (perhaps a little too forceful of a way).
“Don’t mind her,” the tall elf cut in. “As you’ve probably noticed, I’m Irie. Nice to meet you.” She holds her staff at her right, a friendly smile on her face. She then looks to the cat girl. “Koko, you alright? That looked like a nasty hit.”
“I’m great,” the happy cat girl makes a cliche peace sign, “but we should probably get back to town.” She turns and almost walks into a wall. “I-I meant to do that. The way back is that way.”
“That’s also a wall,” Irie deadpans.
“Maybe you should lead,” Koko comments quietly, pressing two fingers together.
“That I will. You want to come with us, Ako?”
You look at the pair in thought. Irie has her staff, and Koko seems to be armed as well (a sheathed dagger tied at her left hip). “Are you two adventurers?”
“Yup!” the cat girl of petite build pipes up, grabbing your hands, her ponytail swaying. “Want to join our team?”
“You really should run such offers by me first,” the elf interjects but quickly finds a certain cat girl making puppy dog eyes at her. “I suppose it is fine though. What do you say, Ako?”
“I guess I’m teammates with you two now,” you say with a huge smile only to get glomped by Koko a moment later.
“Now that that’s settled,” Irie continues, “let’s set off to Dungeon Town.”
