“Quick, look over there!” You point to the side, but the trick doesn’t work this time. Actually, it appears to have just angered the cat girl, said cat girl now glaring at you as she cracks her knuckles. If looks could kill, you’d be in quite a bit of trouble about now. Well, you are in trouble about now, deadly looks or not.

[Strength: Lvl 3]. She’s stronger than you. That could be a problem. You back up, your back meeting one of the dungeon’s walls shortly. A dead end. You stand with your back quite literally against the wall, the only exit blocked by that irate looking cat girl.
The feline woman rushes forward, kicking her leg out. With a small eep, you throw yourself to the side, the woman’s leg powering by you (a near miss). Her shoe-clad foot thunders against the wall, leaving a nice little crater behind. She really does have a mean left kick, probably a mean right kick too.
[Soul: Lvl 1]. She should fatigue more easily than you. At least her lower soul level suggests that. Perhaps you could use that to your advantage. You duck a punch from her, countering with an uppercut. Needless to say, you miss, the cat girl leaping back to safety. She pants lightly, holding her fists up, still raring to go. She’s quicker than you (more agile), but she’s tiring. The plan just may work, but she still clearly has quite a bit of fight left in her.

The deadly dance continues, the cat girl unleashing a steady stream of blows. Luckily, she’s not that much stronger than you, so you don’t have too much trouble avoiding them by prioritizing defense. Unfortunately, you aren’t exactly immune to fatigue either, and she finally catches you with an elbow to your ribs. Pain shoots through you as you fall to the ground. Frantically, you roll to the side, narrowly avoiding a followup stomp.
You climb back to your feet, your legs a tad wobbly. Your ribs scream at you, but as it turns out, they are just painfully sore. Before you, your opponent sways unsteadily, her breaths coming out in heavy puffs, her legs looking about ready to give out. It’s quite a good thing that she didn’t hit you when she had been in a better state. You probably wouldn’t have survived it if she had.
Exhausted but quite obviously not as exhausted as the cat girl, you throw a punch, slugging the feral woman right in her face. She drops her fists and vanishes, a single gem dropping to the grimy, yellowish floor.

Still panting, you bend over to pick up the drop, your ribs complaining to you the entire time.
[Cat’s Eye]
You poke the [Cat’s Eye], which looks to be some kind of gem, into your available pocket space. Though, you don’t really have all that much pocket space left. It’s not like your outfit has humongous pockets or anything. Too bad you don’t have a backpack on you.
Sighing, you lean against the dungeon wall, your body burning. You glance around, not noticing anymore monsters. Well, this is a dungeon. There could be monsters around every corner, but you really need some rest. Running into yet another fight in this condition did not seem all that great of an idea. You slide down the wall, plopping down on the floor. It would be nice if the floor was a bit cleaner, but you really needed a break. Resting a bit couldn’t hurt, could it? Your back to the wall, you close your pink eyes, your breathing normalizing, sleep soon taking you.
