From Akira's Perspective
Elize was unconscious, lying in bed when the curse doctor gathered us to deliver some news.
"Let's hear the good news first," I requested, after he mentioned there was both good and bad news.
"You're expecting a child," he announced.
Sonata gasped with joy, "Oh!"
I wanted to feel pure happiness too, but a dreadful premonition loomed over me.
"And the bad news?" I asked apprehensively.
"It's a life-threatening situation. The soul has not fully settled into the mother's body. In this state, both the mother and child might not last more than a week..."
His voice faltered, but I grasped the gravity of what he implied — death was on the horizon.
"Isn't there any treatment?" I pressed.
"There is a spell that can permanently bind the soul to the body. However, it's not a spell you can simply find at a school," he explained.

"So, it's impossible for you too? Is there no other way to obtain it? Can't we find someone who possesses it?"
"Unfortunately, none of those options are feasible," he responded grimly.
Despair washed over me. I couldn't just wait for her death.
"Hang in there, Elize. I'll find a cure, no matter what," I vowed.
I began seeking appointments with every researcher at the school, particularly those who specialized in the study of bodies and souls, pleading on my knees if necessary, to discuss their latest findings.
Yet, no matter whom I asked, the answers were discouraging.
"I've never heard of such curses or magic," they would say.
If it wasn't possible within the school, then perhaps outside... But who could be an expert in such a specialized field? I had no leads.
Should I consult the school's faculty to compile a list of researchers? But what if Elize's condition worsened while I was consulting experts around the world? The situation seemed utterly hopeless.
Then, a thought struck me. Maybe I needed to trace back through my memories. Hadn't I heard of such a researcher when I first arrived in this world?
That's it! The key lay with...
"Come forth, Usamof!" I summoned the rabbit familiar.
"Mof Mof! It's been a while, Mof! Since the battle on the bridge, right?"
"Yes, it has been a while. Did we not discuss such matters when we first met?"
"Indeed, Mof! I was transformed into a summonable creature by the great magician, Dr. Aine Kleine, who brought me from another world. Dr. Kleine was a renowned researcher, but he dabbled in forbidden spells to switch bodies, which led to his expulsion from the academic community and an unfortunate end to his career," Usamof replied.
"Did Dr. Aine Kleine work on his research in a specific facility during his later years? Do you know where it is?"
"I know it, Mof. I can show you, Mof."
