The morning descended and the sun rays woke Vedik up.

As Vedik woke up he felt something heavy on his chest .

He opened his eyes to find little Rose sleeping peacefully, nestled against his chest.

She must have climbed on him in her sleep.

Today, Vedik and his family would be leaving the city, and thinking about Ray, he felt conflicting emotions.

After freshening up, Vedik heard a knock on his door. When he opened it, he was greeted by Ray.

"Can I take Rose?" Ray asked, his voice low.

Vedik nodded without saying anything.

As Ray carried Rose, it looked like he wanted to say something to Vedik, but the words didn't come out of his mouth.

Vedik then headed downstairs to eat breakfast. He was greeted by Jasmin, William, and Edgar.

During breakfast nobody spoke.

Although Vedik was eating, his mind was still swirling with thoughts.

Ray also arrived and sat beside Vedik and ate breakfast .

Jasmin asked, "Where is Rose?"

Ray replied, "She is still sleepy, so I let her sleep a bit more."

After sleeping , Vedik's mind was a little refreshed . He was still thinking that if he was in Ray's place, he would have done the same .

Also after seeing Rose his anger hadp mostly subsided.

A few moments later , Jasmin said, "Son, we'll soon be leaving the city. Say your goodbyes."

Listening to this , Vedik thought about yesterday's conversation and he understood that Ray and Rose will not be safe at the city.

And the Red Eagle Gang would surely be searching for them . Maybe they already know that they are here but because of Grandfather Edgar they had not come here.

After a moment, Vedik said, "Mom, although Ray has betrayed me, I understand his situation. After we leave the city, the Red Eagle gang would surely kill him. Since I've already interfered, can we take him with us?"

Listening to this, Ray felt even more ashamed. If he were in Vedik's place, he would not have helped.

Jasmin, William, and Edgar smiled. Jasmin commented, "See, I told you, Mr. Edgar. My son would surely say this."

Vedik asked, "What are you talking about?"

Before Vedik could say anything, Jasmin said, "All nobles require a servant. We won't be going to any family but the strongest of the great noble families, The Verna Family.

So rather than assigning anyone, Ray is a good choice. But if you object, we cannot take both of them with us."

Suddenly, Rose appeared at the table and greeted everyone. She came towards Vedik, her hands outstretched.

Ray said, "Rose, come here. Don't disturb Vedik."

But Vedik lifted little Rose and let her sit comfortably on his lap and then fed her.

Vedik then said, "Okay, Mom, let him be my servant , I just can't leave a person after knowing what will happen to him."

Listening to this, Ray said with an emotional tone and tears in his eyes, "Thank you, Vedik. If I were in your place, I wouldn't have helped you. So, I sincerely thank you."

Rose seeing Ray asked, "Big brother, are you crying?"

No, I am simply happy, Ray replied as he hugged Rose.

Now his sister and he would be safe .

And he would not have to do any bad work.

Ray in his heart also knew that if Vedik had objected , his family wouldn't have helped him. So , he was eternally grateful.

With this emotion in his heart , Ray decided that he will tell Vedik his biggest secret today in the carriage today.

Vedik, thinking about the Verna family, felt both excited and afraid. He was about to meet his new family, and he wanted to be accepted by them.

While Jasmin and William had their own thoughts and looked a little absent-minded.

So, with that, they prepared to leave the city. As they walked towards the carriage, they were greeted by a tall, robust man who was handsome and looked to be around mid-30s.

He hugged William, saying, "I'm so happy you're coming back, young master. Everyone will be so happy to see you and Miss Jasmin."

Vedik suddenly thought about why his parents lived separately before and why they weren't living with their family. But he knew he would slowly find out the answers.

The man introduced himself, "Hello, my name is Mohan, and I will be escorting you safely to the Verna territory."

Vedik also introduced himself, "Hello, my name is Vedik Wilson."

Mohan was a little shocked listening to this.

William said, "Jasmin and I have adopted him. So, he's now our son."

Mohan smiled. "Good for you."

Vedik looked back at the tavern, a mixture of emotions swirling within him. He was leaving behind a city filled with danger and uncertainty, but he also knew that his future is filled with difficulties but he assured himself that he will face the challenges and become strong.

As the carriage pulled away from the city, Vedik looked at Ray, who was sitting beside him, holding Rose tightly.

Ray also looked in the eyes of Vedik.

He looked very afraid , tensed and anxious for some reason.....
