Chapter 11 : Qi Points And Mana Viens

William POV

The weight of their decision sat heavy on William's shoulders. He turned to Jasmin, his voice laced with concern. "Are the preparations complete?"

Jasmin returned his gaze, a worried frown etched on her face. "Yes, they are," she confirmed. "But I can't shake this feeling… a sense of unease. I am worried something might go wrong ."

William nodded grimly. "There's nothing we can do about it now," he said, his voice resolute.

"Opening his Qi points is the only way to ensure his survival. You remember Jasmin , the day when he injected his Mana into the crystal ball and what abdominal Mana was released.

His body might not be able to handle the strain of the huge mana that is flowing within his body" so we need to open his Qi points.

Jasmin said , " Ok , let's open them".

The Hell Awaits

A wide smile stretched across Vedik's face as he woke up. Today was the day! Finally, his journey into the wondrous world of Arcane magic would begin. He eagerly performed his morning routine, a joyful energy pulsing through him.

Like yesterday, he prepared the food together with Jasmin but the atmosphere was a little gloomy.

The usual lighthearted chatter was replaced by a heavy silence, casting a shadow over the meal.

After eating the breakfast, William asked , do you remember yesterday's class.

Vedik nodded eagerly. "Yes, Father! It was fascinating to learn about the history . The lesson was very informative and I learned many things ".

"Indeed," William continued. "Now, there's something crucial you need to understand about how Warriors and Sorcerers utilize the Mana".

The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

"How so?" Vedik inquired, leaning forward with curious gaze.

William explained , while both professions rely on Mana, they access it through different channels.

Warriors channel Mana through specific pressure points in the body known as Qi points, whereas Sorcerers utilize a Mana through a network of pathways called Mana veins."

Vedik furrowed his brow. "But why wouldn't Sorcerers also use Qi points like Warriors?

A flicker of sadness crossed William's face. He said"There's a reason for that, Vedik," .

Let me tell you a tale about a powerful Sorcerer named James." He was a man driven by wild ambition.

He was a master of the Arcane arts but he craved not only immense magical power but also the prowess of a skilled warrior. Blinded by this hunger, James embarked on a forbidden practice – attempting to awaken both his Mana veins and Qi points.

William continued , Legends say that James pushed his body beyond its limits. The raw energy coursing through him became a storm, tearing him apart from within. His body, unable to withstand the conflicting pathways, erupted in a catastrophic explosion.

It served as a stark reminder of the delicate balance within a human body and it's limitations ".

From then , it is said , that a mortal body can never withstand both the Qi points and Mana Viens .

So it is not possible, Vedik asked.

To which William replied , Yes and No.

He explained that the Warriors who awaken Mana Viens either stop their path of being a warrior and become magician or continue being a warrior as they have already embarked on that path .

But there are some warriors who have both Mana Viens and Qi points but they can atmost use Tier - 1 spells which is almost impossible and too ineffective . And these people amount to only 0.1 % of the population.

But Vedik in your case , opening your Qi points can save you . Huge amount of Mana flows through your body , so we need to open Qi points , so they can absorb excessive Mana in your body .

And Qi points are necessary to make your body stronger and use Martial Arts. If they are not opened , I am not sure if your body can withstand this much Mana.

Vedik listened intently, a shiver crawling down his spine. The image of James' horrific demise painted a vivid picture of the danger he was about to face. Fear momentarily flickered in his eyes, but it was quickly replaced by a steely resolve as he believed his father and mother.

"Is that why you're worried, Father?" Vedik asked, his voice steady despite the tremor in his heart.

"Is there a chance that the same thing could happen to me?"

William placed a hand on Vedik's shoulder, his touch firm yet comforting. "There's always a risk, Vedik," he admitted, but it's a gamble we must take, for it's the only way to strengthen your body and make you a worthy vessel for both magic and martial prowess."

Jasmin stepped forward, her eyes filled with a fierce determination. "We will guide you through this, Vedik," she pledged. "Together, we will help you control this power and overcome any challenges that may arise."

A resolute smile formed on Vedik's face. Fear had been replaced by a newfound determination. He wouldn't shy away from the challenge.

Suddenly , a thunderclap erupted outside, shattering the morning's serenity. The bright sun vanished behind a veil of storm clouds, plunging the room into an unsettling gloom.

The wind howled , rattling the windows and sending shivers down Vedik's spine. It was as if the very Gods were infatuated and were expressing their fury .

Vedik's smile faltered , a flicker of fear replacing his initial enthusiasm. His hands started trembling . Various thoughts crossed his mind . Could he withstand the pain? Could his body handle the immense power it was about to unleash?

He swallowed hard, his gaze darting between William and Jasmin, seeking reassurance in their steadfast expressions.

The once-joyful anticipation for magic training has turned into a desperate struggle for survival.

As William and Jasmin exchanged a worried glance, Vedik knew this was just the beginning of his extraordinary journey.
