Vedik woke up, the morning sun streaming through the tavern window. After freshening up, he headed downstairs.

"Good morning, Vedik," Jasmin greeted him.

"Good morning, Mom," Vedik replied. "Where are Father and Grandfather?"

"They'll arrive soon," Jasmin answered.

A few minutes later, both William and Edgar appeared and sat down at a table.

An old woman appeared and asked for the order . Vedik wanted to eat pancakes so he ordered it .

Slowly people were waking up so the tavern became cheerful.

Ray also entered the tavern .

Vedik was overjoyed to see Ray. So he invited Ray to eat together.

Ray saw Edgar and became a little nervous . It looked like he was asking for Edgar permission.

But after getting no reaction from

Edgar , Ray sat beside Vedik and ate breakfast.

After everyone has eaten , Vedik talked with Ray for sometime .

Then he said "I have to train. Let's meet later," to Ray.

Vedik then went outside with William for their daily training session.

After Vedik has departed, Ray told Edgar that I couldn't collect much information but I came to know that tomorrow the leader of the gang will be arriving in the city.

Edgar listening to this simply nodded and said " any other information you would like to tell ?"

To which Ray replied, " No , they don't share important information with people like me , even getting this information was very difficult , I had to suck up to those three bastards and make them drunk so they would blur out some info.

Edgar said , "ok now show me the way to the orphanage, let's get your sister back" .

Listening to this Ray's eyes shine with hope and he thanked Edgar profusely.

Training Session

William and Vedik ran for 10 minutes.

Then William handed a steel sword to Vedik and said "I think you are ready , so let's spar with steel swords".

From the first time Vedik has sparred with William,his father had always insisted on using wooden swords.

But seeing that William had allowed to spar with steel swords made Vedik happy .

Their sparring session was intense. Vedik slashed at William, who easily deflected the blow. Vedik then tried to attack Williams's shoulder, but he easily stopped it with his sword and locked Vedik's sword and then kicked Vedik's stomach.

"Now it's my turn to attack," William said, his voice filled with excitement.

William started slashing his sword continuously at Vedik, who took a defensive posture. Vedik who couldn't do anything except deflecting the sword , tried to push William back, but no matter what he did, he couldn't create space between them.

Suddenly William stopped attacking so Vedik created some distance between them .

Vedik had been using qi continuously during the spar while William had not . It just showed that how much powerful William was.

"Good, my son," William said. "You've improved. Before, you used to attack without thinking, but today you fought nicely."

The previous battle with Thalnos has given you some experience , William commented.

"So today, I'll use just a little qi," William announced.

Vedik listening to this felt both excited and a little horrified.

Before, it had been difficult to even deflect William's slashes but now .....

So are you ready ? William asked.

Vedik took a huge breath to replenish his qi and then after calming down he nodded.

William then started sprinting . He was soo fast that he appeared invisible to Vedik's naked eyes.

Vedik tried to follow William's movement but he couldn't.

William shouted , "Try to use qi on your eyes".

So Vedik concentrated and passed a little amount of qi through his eyes .

Slowly he could follow William's movement through his eyes but it required immense concentration .

Suddenly Vedik felt pain in his eyes, and his qi became unstable. And unfortunately he fainted.

Talk with William and Jasmin

The rays of sunlight woke Vedik up. When he opened his eyes, he saw Jasmin's beautiful face.

Vedik's head was in Jasmin's lap, and her fingers were through his hair.

Vedik sat up on the grass. Jasmin handed him a potion, which spread warmth and comfort through his entire body.

"No more training until we reach Verna territory," Jasmin said with cold tone.

Jasmin said no more training until we reach the Verna territory.

Do you understand, Vedik and William? Both William and Vedik nodded profusely.

The three of them sat together watching the sunset .

Jasmin then showed a glowing black mana stone. Seeing it, Vedik asked, "What is this?"

William said, "It's the mana stone of the skeleton warrior you defeated before."

Vedik didn't remember the mana stone , because after defeating the skeleton warrior, he had fainted.

"The reason neither I nor Jasmin could defeat that skeleton was because it had both physical resistance and mana resistance," William explained. "So, I wanted to ask how you defeated that undead warrior."

Vedik suddenly fell deep in thought. It wasn't that he didn't trust his parents enough to tell them about the Godhood System, but because of him, they were already in danger.

The mysterious being that talked to him gave him an incredible sense of oppression , so he didn't want to worry or put them in even more danger. So he devised a plan in his mind.

Jasmin, seeing Vedik's expression, said, "Son, we're just worried about you. If you're not ready to tell, take some time."

Vedik, listening to this, thought, "I can't tell them about the Godhood System." So, he thought about the locket he got from Ms. Nuwa.

That locket was very mysterious. It also protected him from the attack of Thalnos, and both his parents had already seen that.

So they already knew about the locket. So Vedik said calmly , "Dad, do you remember the locket given to me by Miss Nuwa?"

To which William nodded.

Then Vedik concentrated and called for the Echoblade and it appeared in his right hand.

Description : A forgotten weapon which was wielded by a God. This weapon can change into any shape according to owner's will. It can repair itself , cut through Mana and Qi. And is a growth type weapon.

Vedik then explained, "When Thalnos attacked me, the locket blocked his attack, and a blade appeared in my hands.

Due to Mother's concentrated attacks on its ribs, I thought that part would be the best to attack. So, I circulated my mana and qi through my entire body to the blade and attacked the skeleton warrior."

Both Jasmin and William were listening to Vedik's explanation very carefully.

William said, "Can I see the blade?"

So Vedik handed the Echoblade to William.

William commented, "I've never seen the material and metal of this blade. It looks out of this world."

Then William tried to send his qi through the Blade, but he couldn't, or we could say the blade rejected it.

Jasmin also tried to send mana through the Echoblade, but the result was the same.

They also asked for the locket that Vedik was wearing , and he handed it over to Jasmin.

She tried some spells on the locket but the result was the same as the blade.

Jasmin then said, "I think this locket and blade can only be used by its owner, which is Vedik.

Whoever has made these items must have encrypted them with blood heir magic, which means only the blood owner can use these items."

"I've heard from my teacher that these items used to exist, but now they don't, and no one has the capability to create them," Jasmin continued. "Also, the pendant must have high-class spatial magic to store the blade and other things which we don't know for now. And it also helps and protects the owner in time of need."

Vedik, listening to this, was flabbergasted. He was trying to hide the Godhood System, but his mother had inferred so much from his lie.

On the other hand, Jasmin could be speaking the truth as Vedik didn't know much about the pendant and he thought it was just a ordinary locket until the day it saved him from the Thalnos 's attack.

William then said, "Vedik, these items are very precious. Even the great noble families would be dying to get them.

So don't show them to anyone else."

Vedik nodded with a serious expression.

Soon the night came and Jasmin , William and Vedik headed towards the tavern .

After settling on the chairs in the tavern . They were greeted by Edgar and Ray , but the strange thing was that Ray was holding a little girl in his arms.
