Antonio’s voice boomed like thunder over everyone as he shouted. “What is your path?” He commanded silence and attention in its wake. He stepped up onto a large outcropping, his presence towering over the gathered multitude. His eyes, blazing with determination, scanned the diverse crowd, as Marisol, among them, felt the weight of awe radiating from the powerful figure.

“I say again. What is your path?” Antonio’s voice reverberated like a bell, cutting through the hushed air. Every eye turned toward him, captivated by the magnetic force of his presence. “Since the beginning, my path has been to console, lead, watch and guard. To fight. We are the apex super predators! We are WOLVES!”

The crowd fell into a deafening silence, absorbing Antonio’s words. Marisol, among the multitude, felt the collective gaze fixed on the formidable leader. Antonio marched forward, determination etched across his face. His proclamation echoed through the expanse, “We have a miracle beyond imagination along the path, hidden for eons.”

As Antonio spoke of the world’s self-destruction and humanity’s blindness to their impending doom, the crowd hung on every word. Silence, like a heavy cloak, draped over the assembly. “We were born as wolves, but we chose to take human form to blend in with them. We’ve hid among humankind undetected,” he declared passionately, his words weaving a tapestry of a hidden history. “Our true nature. Hidden. For them. From them. To protect them.”

The crowd, captivated, followed Antonio’s every move as he circled the space with purpose. “You stand on land that belongs to our bloodline, forged from truth - not shadows or ghostly visions. Rats standing beside Scorpions. Snakes next to Hares. Sparrows with Naga. Spiders by Crabs. Lions with Wolves - side by side as one powerful force.”

Antonio’s voice dropped to a husky growl, resonating like distant drums. “We’ve never failed the path,” he declared, the words hanging in the air like smoke. His gaze, intense and penetrating, locked onto every individual in the assembly. “Look! Look there! Now look what we have here before us. There are Rats next to Scorpions. Snakes by Hares. Sparrow by Naga. Spiders. Rats. Crabs. Lions. All the wolf clans --together. All whose sweat, tears, and blood stains the ground. Lycans and Wolves. The truth!”

The crowd erupted in shouts of approval and agreement, a chorus of unity. Antonio paced along the outcropping’s edge, delivering his message with magnetic fervor. “The truth is we must set our primal selves upon the world. We will drive the humans away from calamities, by blood and pain. Titans must shed tears. We must show compassion, as parents discipline children. Our mercy is not weak. It is strong. It is not benevolent. Our honor lies in death! We aim to achieve arête in all aspects of life. The virtue of death as the ultimate expression for our packs. For our noble duty that we LIVE TO SERVE!”

As Antonio’s powerful words echoed through the gathering, stirring emotions among the werewolves, a sudden disruption shattered the serenity. The distant hum of engines grew louder, cutting through the impassioned silence. The crowd, sensing an imminent threat, shifted uneasily as the sound intensified.

Above the rocky expanse where the werewolves had convened, ominous shadows danced across the landscape. The sky darkened as a swarm of government drones descended, their mechanical contrasts starkly with the primal gathering below. The whirring of propellers and the blinking red lights of surveillance equipment cast an uneasy ambiance over the assembly.

Antonio, his eyes narrowing at the encroaching threat, raised a hand to signal order among his kin. Murmurs of confusion and apprehension rippled through the crowd as the werewolves grappled with the sudden intrusion.

“We are being watched,” Antonio declared, his voice cutting through the disquiet. “But fear not. We stand united. Our purpose remains unchanged.” He gestured toward the drones hovering above. “Let them witness the strength of the pack, the resilience of our unity.”

This book's true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience.

Despite Antonio’s reassurance, the werewolves couldn’t ignore the looming presence of surveillance. The government’s watchful eyes, represented by the drones, served as a reminder of the delicate balance between the supernatural and the human world. Ears were pricked by the buzzing hum of drones and approaching engines. As the aerial fleet of drones flew closer, ready to record the vast gathering of werewolves, a sense of urgency and irritation rippled through the assembly.

Antonio, recognizing the potential risks, addressed the crowd with unwavering resolve.

"We are the WOLVES. The original canines. Predators who created the ability to shift into humans.” He paced as hundreds of eyes tracked him. “You’re standing right now with our packs. – The problem in the past has been the devils turning us against one another. We have been unable to see the truth, because we’ve been fighting for a candle breath of light in the muddy ground. Our packs, our little piece of family. We are all ONE FAMILY! We are not of their species. They are our charge. Appointed to us by a Celestial King. Years before the birth of men, we existed. A race of wolves. We’ve inhabited this world. Keeping the peace with our blood and sweat. For hundreds of thousands of years, none has defeated us. No one ever will. We will set forth. Tear down the mountains. Rip the skies apart. Soak up the colors of their world. OPEN. THEIR. EYES.” His voice decreased in volume. “If we must, open their throats with fangs and claws.”

Antonio paced as if he carried a sword to lead an army into a last stand battle. “The appointed Seven will lead the way. Showing them that wolves have risen. Show no mercy. Hold no quarter. Let the ferals be born. Give them the compassion of a true wolf! It’s our turn. Our time!”

His eyes are lit with fury and vitality.

He shouts to the top of his lungs, ”Varkana ascendō!” (Rise wolves of the land!)

Howls burst from so many throats that make the moon shudder.

Antonio’s body tensed, and a deep guttural growl erupted from his throat as he threw back his head. His jaw elongated and widened as sharp teeth pushed up through the tender flesh of his gums. The transmutation with his fingernails morphing into razor-like claws caused Antonio’s body to quiver with pleasure.

Fur sprouted along his limbs and snout, and his eyes glowed dark olive green. Specks of brilliant red and hunter green. Every muscle, nerve, and sinew weakened in bubbling ecstasy as they adjusted to their new form. With each shift of his body came a new wave of a thousand tiny orgasms.

Invisible to the naked eye, his bones “flip” beneath the flesh like switchblades. Every inch of muscle was honed to perfection, capable of exerting enough force to tear through tungsten metal. His fur pulsed with thermal phosphorescent light, giving him an air of authority and power even in his monstrous form. He radiated raw strength and primal fury, enough to rip a diamond-encrusted Challenger 2 tank apart with ease. There is a certain deadly elegance in his final form.

Antonio stood tall and proud, his muscular frame towering over his wife and niece. He dwarfed all who stood near him. More wolf than human.

As their eyes locked under the star-strewn sky, a thrill of anticipation rippled through them. Their skin tingled as thick fur pelt sprouted from pores in an accelerated rush. As he let out a powerful howl, Marisol gasped and reveled as her limbs began to reshape themselves into strong, lupine haunches. Reveling in the sensation, her body trembled with pleasure that far exceeded any sexual climax she had ever experienced. Her face elongated into a delicate snubbed muzzle, her features both wolfish and tenderly beautiful. Her sensuous feminine traits are naturally on display, as Antonio’s masculine characteristics are.

The howl from Antonio’s powerful voice echoed through the field, creating a wave of transformation that swept through the hundreds - if not thousands - of other beings there. Around her, a chorus of howls filled the air as the other werewolves underwent their own shuddering transformations. The patter of paws on the soil is ninja quiet.

They shimmered beneath the clouds, slipping gracefully from human to wolf form.

Antonio continued to howl, and his voice seemed to avalanche forever -- reverberating through the night sky until it eventually faded away.

The night breeze caressed the hairs on Marisol’s neck, whispering of danger.

Marisol’s hair, a dusky gold cascade, bristled. Her gaze swept across her surroundings. A collective vigilance gripped the werewolves, their eyes attuned to the sky, their muzzles sniffing the air, twisting their necks at an imminent threat.

They see blue-green, blue, violet, and “bee’s purple.” (Bee’s purple is a combination of yellow and ultraviolet light. With the ability to see color thirty times faster than a bee, the werewolves see individual stars and tree leaves. The world is bathed in iridescence. Their visual concept catches motion at high flicker rates. One of the wolves ran to a mound of boulders. His actions snapped his visual cues into three dimensions.

Her dusky gold-colored downy hair stood on end. She and the other werewolves twist their necks, craning to catch a glimpse of anything out in the night. Their ears swiveled; noses twitched. All they see are the cold lights from the patrol drones flying toward their gathering.

As the drones soared over her head, Marisol instinctively pressed herself against the outcropping, flattening with its shadow. The only evidence they’d been there was trampled grass in front of a rocky outcropping. The whirling engine’s volume descended off into the distance.

Long, wispy strands of hair, tousled by the wind, lingered as a wispy reminder in the wake of the storied figures, who had already faded into the world of man. The gusts of wind carried tousled strands of hair like banners.
