Chapter 26: Monsters in the direction of Moonbright!

Tiger Zais, Knightglen Jim, Knightglen Vince, Faylen and I travelled in silence for a good few minutes, but Tiger Zais broke that silence by looking at me and saying, “I am sorry.” Following her words, we all looked at her.

I smiled. “I forgive you.”

Knightglen Jim and Knightglen Vince looked at me. “I am sorry too,” they said one after another.

I looked at them. “I forgive you two as well.”

“Thank you,” Tiger Zais, Knightglen Jim and Knightglen Vince said one after another.

Faylen looked at me. “Jim and Vince unsheathed their swords on us, but what did Zais do?”

I looked at Faylen. “It doesn’t matter anymore,” I said as I patted her snow-white head.

“Okay, big sister Astrid,” Faylen said as she nodded her head.

I looked over Tiger Zais, Knightglen Jim and Knightglen Vince. “Let’s properly introduce ourselves. My name is Astrid. And you can call me by my name.”

“I can’t do that. I can’t call a god by her divine name,” Knightglen Jim and Knightglen Vince said in unison while fervently shaking their heads.

“My name is Tiger Zais and I am a merchant of the merchant association,” Tiger Zais said and smiled. “But you can just call me Zais, Astrid.”

Knightglen Jim’s and Knightglen Vince’s eyes widened and mouth opened. They looked at Tiger Zais and she at them. “Introduce yourselves to Astrid,” she said.

Knightglen Jim and Knightglen Vince slowly nodded their heads. They both looked back at me.

“I am Knightglen Jim and I was one of Knightglen’s guards. But you can call me whatever you want, god.”

“And I am Knightglen Vince and I was also one of Knightglen’s guards. And you can also call me whatever you want, god.”

“Then I will call you two Jim and Vince,” I said.

Knightglen Jim and Knightglen Vince bowed their heads. “Thank you, god,” they said in unison and raised their heads back up. Then, we all looked at the road ahead.

“What kind of monsters did you three encounter?” I said.

“The first monster that we encountered was a slime,” Tiger Zais said.

“Yeah,” Knightglen Jim said. “And I together with Vince and Pete killed it with ease.”

“But we didn’t kill just one or two slimes, we killed a lot more,” Knightglen Vince said.

“Yeah,” Knightglen Jim said. “More than a 100, no 200.”

Tiger Zais smiled. “They killed 22 slimes,” she whispered. Her smile disappeared from her face and she said, “The second monster that we encountered was a goblin and it killed Pete.”

Knightglen Jim and Knightglen Vince lowered their heads.

Faylen tightly clenched her fists.

“Was there a third monster?” I said.

“Yes and no,” Tiger Zais said.

I looked at Tiger Zais. “What do you mean?”

Tiger Zais looked at me. “It was a goblin. But it wasn’t like the other goblins that we encountered. It wasn’t as short as a child, but as tall as an adult. It wasn’t thin, but fat. It also carried a heavy sword and was very strong. Tiger Raz had trouble every time he fought against it.”

Tiger Zais and I looked at the road ahead.

Zais perfectly defined the appearance of Bil the smasher. But it was just a <> boss. Not something that a <> would have trouble with. But Faylen did kill him with one instant cast spell and she was 71 levels lower than him. So it’s possible that he had trouble against a <> boss, I thought to myself and said, “Did you encounter any other monsters?”

“There was one more. But it was an encounter which I wish I could erase from my memory.”

Knightglen Jim and Knightglen Vince snapped their heads up, looked at Tiger Zais and loudly gulped down their saliva.

“When Pete was dead, and Vince, Jim and I were midway to Moonbright, he appeared in front of us. The most beautiful man with short black hair, dark-purple eyes and not wearing a single shred of clothing. Not even of his family jewels.”

Faylen tilted her head slightly to the right. “Family jewels?” she said and looked at me. “What are the family jewels?”

Tiger Zais, Knightglen Vince, Knightglen Jim and I looked at Faylen. Then I patted her snow-white head. “I will tell you when you are a little older.”

“Okay, big sister Astrid,” Faylen said as she nodded her head.

We all once again looked at the road ahead. “He appeared in front of you, what then?” I said.

“What happened next was something which I wish I could erase from my memory,” Tiger Zais said. “But never will. I looked into his dark-purple eyes and then…” She frowned. “I can’t remember. I looked into his… His? I looked… looked?” she looked at me. “What were we talking about just now?”

Knightglen Jim, Knightglen Vince, Faylen and I frowned. We all looked at Tiger Zais, but Faylen also looked at Knightglen Jim and Knightglen Vince.

"I don't remember," Knightglen Jim and Knightglen Vice said in unison.

Faylen relaxed her face and looked at the road ahead.

"You were telling us about your encounter with a beautiful naked man with dark-purple eyes and short black hair," I said.
