Naath was sitting down in the ruins of what was once the True Void Factions territory as a violent tsunami of martial energy was flooding into the vacuum of energy he had made while breaking through. His focus wasn’t on the destruction all around him, or in the surrounding energies that were turbulently flooding in or on anything else externally. Right now he was simply blankly staring at his hands not at all believing in what just happened or what he thinks just happened. He had broken through from the 5th stage of bone hardening directly through to Blood cleansing!

While trying to understand or comprehend what just happened Naath heard a voice from inside of his soul sea.

“Young master Naath, you aren’t wrong, you did indeed just break through to the blood cleansing realm. This is something that hasn’t happened in a long, long time, but it isn’t unheard of either. Well what you just did specifically hasn’t happened in a long time but in general its rare but not unheard of. You see young master, when someone has a perfected aspect in a specific realm of cultivation before the ninth level, they can trigger a type of transformation. You’re skeleton was already in a state of flawlessness purity wise, and because of how you handled your last breakthrough it’s exactly the way you want it structurally as well.

So the only thing for the energy to do after being absorbed into your bones was to transform. Congratulations young master, you now have an elemental skeleton and are one step closer to an elemental body of True Void. Because your skeleton was already perfect to you in every aspect, it directly transformed into an elemental skeletal system. Now you are in the stage of blood cleansing, do you have any questions?”

Naath slowly digested these words and as he did he unconsciously nodded his head in understanding. Then Naath wondered what elemental traits his skeleton had taken on? What special abilities did he now posses? He knew he wouldn’t be able to just ask King and learn, after all as far as he or King knew he was the first person to ever cultivate the True Void Arts. But there were a couple of questions that he could ask king so he spoke up.

“Uh I have a couple. The first is how does one cultivate in the blood cleansing level? The second is will this harm my foundation at all or limit my cultivation?”

“Both good questions young master, I’ll answer the second one first. The short answer is no it wont hurt your cultivation at all. Normally yes it would have as this is skipping levels and this goes against the heavens so there is a price to pay. This is not a normal case though, in your case you reached absolute perfection in an area and the heavens instead chose to reward you. That tribulation was what is called a blessing of prodigies, If a genius is too talented for a particular world and they pull in more energy than the world can give the heavens intervene.

To correct the imbalance of energy the heavens send down a tribulation with very few violent aspects in it in order to supply a large amount of energy to the cultivator. The energy in this tribulation is usually elementally matched to the cultivator receiving this blessing. At the same time, this energy has the effect of smoothening the flow of energy in a cultivators body permanently so that they wont need as much energy while cultivating in the future. This is why it’s called a blessing, well that and the fact that the energy provided is very pure and makes it so that you can rapidly advance without bringing any harm at all to your future accomplishments.”

“Now, the blood cleansing stage that one is a bit more complex to explain so bear with me here. Blood cleansing for most people is done through the bones, as you know blood is produced in your bones, mostly in the marrow. So to cultivate this level you have to guide energy into your bones that will slowly produce new blood. This new blood is needed for several reasons but first I should let you know that the old blood has to go somewhere or be gotten rid of somehow right? Normally this is done through sweat or using the bathroom, etc. Now you could just naturally let your body develop at this point and sooner or later your blood will be replaced an improved.

But if you want to make progress in any reasonable time frame then you will need a different way to get rid of this old blood that’s full of impurities. There are a lot of ways that a lot of people do, The way my people did it was to simply force the blood out of our bodies. This was a very painful process but it also had many benefits to it, such as the fact that it can also expel impurities picked up from other parts of the body on the way out. Now then, onto the reasons that this new blood is needed. First and foremost is that the blood can be used to store martial energy of your chosen element. Secondly it enhances the bloods ability to provide the body with all the things it needs.

Oxygen is sent around more efficiently along with pretty much every other resource your body will need. This prepares your body to be able to rapidly support your muscles when you enter muscle strengthening and they need more oxygen and energy in order to perform at a higher level. Thirdly you can use the martial energy in your blood to support and fuel your entire body to some extent. It’s not to the level where you can just stop eating and drinking, but you can defiantly survive with much less food and drink. You can go for about a month or so without eating and about two weeks without water after this.

The bone hardening stage was used to support your blood cleansing stage which will support your entire body going forwards and prepare you for later stages. Now to cultivate the quick way is a lot different than the bone hardening stage. For the blood cleansing stage you need to produce new blood. It sounds simple, but young master, you know better than most how complex the blood really is. There are red blood cells and white blood cells and both have internal structures made to do specialized tasks. You need to understand these structures and the intricacies of the cells completely in order to produce any good quality blood.

The deeper your understanding of the structures and functions of each blood cell type the better. You need to picture them in your mind and visualize each type and its function in your mind. The deeper a level you can understand the cells at the greater purity your blood will achieve as you can essentially rebuild every component you understand using elemental energy. Now the reason this is good is because your blood becomes more attuned to an element and is able to conduct it more easily and effortlessly, store more of it, it also allows you to go even longer without food or water as it is more conductive to energy.

I know from your memories of Earth that it’s more complex than even I ever really understood. ATP, gluten, oxygen being used to metabolize. All things I have never even remotely heard of! So young master I imagine you are probably going to be able to produce a blood at an unheard of level of detail and clarity. There, I think I covered everything, any more questions?”

“I do have one. Is there any way for me to enhance my memory with soul cultivation? The more clearly I can remember information from my life on earth the better I can make my blood. After all, all of my knowledge about all of this came from earth and if I can look at specific memories more clearly then I can make better blood.”

“Well… Yes actually there is. In fact that's essentially the first level of soul cultivation or at least the way that you can advance in soul cultivation. But I will let elder Gui try to explain that all to you first, after all he said he would take you in as his disciple once you reached blood cleansing. Speaking of he should be along shortly along with a few others to ask you a few questions. After all even by my standards that breakthrough was a bit much.”

“Oh yeah, right. That one did cause quite a disturbance didn’t it?”

“Quite a disturbance?! Young master, I’m pretty sure some experts from other worlds might well have sensed that one! You almost drained this entire world of it’s energy and the heavens had to intervene to keep that from happening! That doesn’t just happen every other day you know? It the sign of an absolute genius appearing and lots of experts look out for that kind of thing to take on disciples!”

“Seriously? Is it that big a deal? You said it yourself this world is low level at best and desolate at worst. Why would any other worldly experts keep an eye on this desolate little world?”

“Because, young master, desolate worlds seem to disproportionately be where most geniuses are developed and born. Then again, they are forced to rise higher than most could every dream of going with far, far less resources than anyone else. To leave a world one needs to be able to reach a rather high level of cultivation. They essentially have to finish refining every single part of their body first, then their body can handle the environment between worlds. I guess using Earth terms, a species that evolves on a world with less oxygen in the atmosphere eventually become able to use it more efficiently. Then If they suddenly go to an area with as much as they need to function at the peak they will outperform every other life form there. The same principle seems to apply here, they have to use less martial energy to do the same as others so they become good at using it in the best way possible. Anyway, the point is, a true expert will likely come looking for you very soon, so you should prepare yourself to accept a new master.”

“Ugh, that sounds annoying, also I have friends and the start of a faction here. Not to mention, Brutus is family to me. I think I’ll stay for a bit until I’m ready to leave, thanks.”

“That might not be your choice, young master. Most of those experts are incredibly overbearing and wont take no for an answer. They might well forcibly take you off of this world in order to allow you to develop faster and better.”

“Ughhhhhh then lets hope they didn’t sense anything, or at the very least they don’t find me.”

As they two of them were talking like this, elder Gui as well as the other sect elders and the sect master made their way back to the places they were before. They dropped off all of the disciples on the way and then immediately went to find Naath as they new for a fact where that breakthrough came from. They all had a bunch of questions for Naath and now that he knew elder Gui was using a prying formation they threw all caution and face to the wind. In front of a god like genius like Naath and finding out how he managed to cultivate like this what did pride and face mean anyway?

At the same time, many sects around the world sensed the movements of martial energy that came from the Raging River Sect. They all knew roughly where it came from and knew the Raging River Sect was the only one in the region they felt the disturbance from. They all knew that the sect was the lowest level sect only a one star bronze, and barely at that. Knowing this many large and powerful sects sect leaders came out of seclusion to personally go investigate this matter. Even the worlds only single gold star sect!
