Chapter 5 : Scarifice for Change
Bloodshot eyes, the veins in them bursting due to pressure as the blood flows under my lens, painting them bright red.
My skin wriggling, the vessels, organs, even my bones are twisting and turning, changing and moving to another place.
I can feel the electricial charge and my heart pumping through my body, making me a little bit unstable as I am in denial.
My siliva drips from my slimy jaw, partly merged with a crimson hue. I think I need a doctor soon, heh.
The more I try to change the less I can breath, it really hurts using my lungs in this type of situation when you're trying to win the fight.
My senses are coming back into my finger tips so I could feel again, but the more I feel the more I hate myself.
I suddenly felt a fault within my transformation. And I stared at the man in the light infront of me, staring down with his holy golden sword soaked in my blood.
Not a scratch on him as he holds the child in his arm, my child I've earned.
It's not worth it, it's not working... Why do you have to be picture perfect?
But as I stare at him I know he's afraid, he doesn't want to convade so he keeps trying to win.
The rune cirlce made of chalk is twisting rapidly, the rings of my name is blurring on the black wall as the sky is burning.
The fault! The fault! I need another push, and it'll all fall.
I growled as I guarded my rune at my back, creeping and crawling towards the asshole who started this whole thing.
The flame around us is lighting up higher to the sky as the circle on the wall glowed, a small laser appearing from the black hole in the circle and pointed to the child in his arms.
The fuel is the child, the flames are the proof and the man here wants to stop all of this for some stupid shit he follows.
"CEASE THIS!" The man cired, trying to be overheard from the childs' wail.
I jumped towards him and ripped my arm across the air.
He dodged, ducking and thrusting his sword into my chest as I welp.
I crashed through the flames and roar behind the living curtains, skidding across the ground before jumping back in and tackling him away from the circle.
"THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH THIS! WHY CAN'T YOU SEE THAT?!" I screamed on his face as I grabbed his throat, lifting his head up and smashing it on the stone ground.
He thicken his neck, rising the muscles around his shoulder and got hold of my wrist, his impossible strenght lifting me off him slightly.
His face became steel strong, his teeth grinding on each other before he shot his head onto my nose.
My neck snapped backwards as I was still grabbed on to and pulled back in, getting a kick in my abdomen when I was released from his grasp.
"Killing and scarificing hundreds of thousands of people for what?! What is right about that?!" He yelled back, reach back to his sword just at the edge of the flame.
"Things have to die for another to start. That's the process of life!" I punched the ground and broke a hand size stone ball and threw it in his eyes, the stone bursting on his face and blinding him.
He screamed in pain, the small shards of stone in his eyes made him finally bleed.
"For what start?! Are you not happy enough with the world?!" He jumped up from his spot and ran past the child who was crawling over to the sword.
"It's the world who should be happy with this! All the years of pain and suffering is going to end!" I zig zag around his charge and did a solid blow on the underside of his jaw, making him tremble close to the Enders' fire.
Why can't he and the sword just go in it already?! I thought in frustration of how it's so hard just to just push them all in the fire in this semi-circle.
He wipped the blood rolling down his chin and looked at me as he lay with the fire lighting the side of his face.
"What are you trying to achive that costed so much lifes?" He spoke calmly like the perfect looking guy he is.
I walked back to my spot infront of the white spinning rune and glance at the child who was holding the so called blessed sword. The sword passed on through generations of heroes in this world.
"I'm not going for world domination if that's your guess. Pass the sword over." I guestured my hand towards the child.
"Pass it over and all pain, war, sin and sickness will all end."
The child eyes glowed in awe and envy, taking a small step towards me.
"Don't!" The man shouted as he picked himself up and gave a cold stare at me, the light aura building up around him gave him a rightous lure that made the child stop and stare.
The story has been illicitly taken; should you find it on Amazon, report the infringement.
"What are you trying to achive?" He asked again, walking to the child and taking the sword of her.
I looked up at the sky, waiting for the moon to pass the grey white clouds that is annoyingly prolonging the process.
I need that sword for the last push, the moon for some reason isn't glowing enough.
I opened up my arms into the air and spoke out my reasoning. Reciting the ritual.
"Bloods and bones creates bonds with everything in us, it is what the earth provided. But what do we provide the earth back? The bonds created in us, which is something I'm trying to do. Restarting creation and making it without the fault."
I was dripping in blood, both mine and the intruders' one. My clothes were partly submerged in red sickly liquid.
"You're mad." He commented
"You're madly self-rightous." I spoke back. I laughed freely with a wide grin ripping across my red hairy face.
The moon finally came out of the clouds and the whole giant white rune circle glowed, shooting serveral more light beams at the child. Her scream ranged in both of our ears.
"STOP IT! YOU'RE HURTING HER!" He shouted as he came in with a charge.
My arm twisted and my bones grew out of it, the side of the bone sharpen and I countered his slash.
"GIVE THE SWORD OVER! EVERYTHING WILL END IF YOU DO IT!" My muscles bluged out from my skin, a spray of blood exploded out of me as my flesh and the strings of muscles were bare in sight.
His eyes narrowed sharply as if he was looking at a monster and slashed serveral times at me in a combo, a light train followed where he swung.
We fought in the speed of light, our arms and movements were fuzzy and hard to track down clearly but it was easy enough to see the clashes between our bodies.
As he twirled and swirled his sword in his swings, breaching into my area I had to dislocate my elbow to do the same, my joints bleeding drops of blood through the skin as it did so.
He caught on as we fought longer, my blood was wasting away as my bones weaken and started to slightly chip under his blows.
I cursed in mutters before releasing a roar that blew him off the ground to give me a little time to breathe.
I looked at my boken bone sword that was my right hand and pointed the tip on the outter ring of the spinning rune.
It's not fair. I thought as I watched him get healed in the moonlight, the silver blue necklance glimering as it hanged out from his shirt.
I always wanted an amulet gifted by a fairy.
His sword was glowing brightly as well, charging up for a final blow as if it doesn't want to continue this battle.
I pressed a little of my weight on my bone sword and the ground chipped under the blade, a rune in chalk broke and a red pulse came flowing in me.
He looked to the girl in agony and decided what he should do, bringing in the sword close to his forehead with the blade facing downward.
He closed his eyes for a short second and shot them open, his eyes filled with light and determination to bring me down.
He roared as he twirled his sword on his hand so the blade faced the air and charged. There was also a faint wave following him as well.
I screamed out loud as well, drowing both of their voices on my spot like a demon facing his last moments.
He pulled back his arm and thrusted the sword directly at the center of my chest, the sword thumping through my flesh and bone with a large shockwave that ripped a bit of the stone ground behind him.
I stood frozen and the light in his eyes died down, looking at me for an response.
"Huhuhu. HAHAHAHAA~!" I bursted as I stood there dying, the fountain of blood pouring out of me while I laughted madly.
He looked at me with confusion and looked at his sword, the light growing dimmer with each passing second. He tried to pull the sword out in concern but found it was stuck in me.
The red pulsing light emmiting from my bone sword went in reverse, the light coming out of me was a much bright red, almost white.
"REVERSE CONVERSION! HAHAHAGAPGAAAHGAH~!" Blood spurted from my mouth as I choked, laughting still as I've won.
The reverse conversion was the opposite of absorbtion, instead of gaining its losing. But I was connected with the rune so what I lose is what it gets, the blessed swords' power is activating the rune!
This was the perfect spell to cast as absorbing the sword would be the end of me.
His eyes shot open as he panic, trying to pull the sword out of me.
I held onto the blade with a deathly grin, looking at the seemingly brighter sky..
"Cenya loss~" I spoke through my spiky teeth.
At my words the rings of runes exploded and sucked everything its light touched with a giant beam shooting above it, brightening the sky and swallowed the world whole.
As the darkness took over a scene, I was in a blurry scene in a fimilar place in a blazing town. The blurriness made the shadow wave and cloud the edge of my vision, making it even harder to see.
I heard a distant scream, a girls' high pitch screaming and black fuzzy people running and pushing, stamping on the fallen and pushing me side to side as they came past me.
Another torch was thrown in the air of the bleeding sky, falling down on a roof of a building or throw a window of another.
A scream came from the building and a burst of people broke through the doors of their own house, the fire latching on their back and eating them whole hungerily.
The black smog was haunting my sight and I felt numb, unable to move, feeling no emotion or concious over my body as I watch the devestating scene playing infront of me.
in the horizon a tall figure came riding on a horse, just like everyone else he was hard to discribe as a dense shadow covered most of him.
He had a long sword that seem to slash anyone he cut at, within or outside his range people fell with blood spurting in the air with a dying cry.
My body then began to move by itself, giving me no choice in the matter as the dark burning world span around me.
I saw the great giant stone walls far above the houses, once great white stone walls now in rubbles, like pile of ashes just beside the firepit.
The shouts of men rang in my ear, that undesireable emotion of anger and bloodthirst made my eyes water, if not worsing but blinding the lower part of my eye.
The road I was apon was littered with cropses, men, woman and children of all age, two or three layers I couldn't tell. It was either more rubble or another person under the cropses I could see.
My hometown.. The day it was invaded by a nation from the outterlands. I still never knew their reason nor did I ever come back to this place.
Their army was powerful and overwhelming and somehow I survived the slaughter from where I stood, this very spot in the smaller roads of the town.
I walked and walked in the deads' silence, my feet was walking over the bodies as if it was a flat surface, a lot of things didn't make sense in a dream as they always pass through some logic in a way.
I looked at my surroundings and noticed where I was going unintentionally, it was the path back home.
Within the block I walk through the scene infront of me changed and merged with the area behind me, making it look like my home wasn't that far to begin with.
The door was broken open, pitch black occupied the house, leaving me outside without a clue what the interior of my childhood home looked like.
I felt like the house was alive but dying as it was towering over me, the shadow created by the ring of flame around me drowned the details I was in.
Moving again, I was moving again and something shot at my ankle, holding on my leg tightly and I shot my head back to see what it was.
It was a lady in a horrible shape, bleeding and bruised with her clothes looking like rags as if it was dragged across the field.
Serveral arrows was planted in her back and she stared at me with bloodshot eyes, crying red tears with her mouth open.
"Ma..Ma?" I slowly spoke with tears overflowing, cutting down my cheek and dripping off my chin.
Pain, war, and sin, that was what I wanted to rid from my world.
