Chapter 3 : The Dawn apocalypse
The war raged on, three players left in game. Two fighting in the endless apocalypse of maxed buffed monsters and one just sitting at the far end of the field, waiting for her brother to come back.
Occasionally the earth shook, the titans stomps breaking the ground and the fighters immense power twisted the reality in the game.
Bones of monsters were ripped apart, exploding from the inside out or was clawing out of their own bodies.
The skies ripped apart and a huge beam of dense light crashed down, tearing the earth as well as the monsters with it.
But even after all that the skies still stayed in a crimson shade, the field became more unstable as it broke apart more, and the number of monsters whenever dropped would be replaced by another.
Then, in the hours of the end a trumpet came from behind them all, the knights of the nation and from far off land came charging in the eruptive ground in 3 armies merged.
The five hundred and fifty thousand soldiers came running on their legs or on backs of warhorses, fearlessly catching the massive giant monsters attention.
One leigon for one monster, ten thousand men in one leigon, five hundred and fifty leigon all in total. The battle got more bloodier as more heroes fell in the apocalypse .
Spears flew over the titans with spiked chains, arrows of fire and poison, nets and flying ramming poles came from the armies. It didn't take long till catapults were unleased and hailed giants metal balls on the monsters.
And they fought on, all together, the LightLord above them all as he dived and slashed through the bodies of diamond-like serpents, savage dragons, and even colossal elementals with a halberd of light.
The spikes of my armor is slightly growing a bit longer, but it won't be able to do anything against 20F monsters except get me stuck on them.
I've been hitted a few times by arrows and spits of toxic creatures but barely it did anything except catch my attention.
I jumped up from the ground, flying to the air as my cape fluttered behind me. I could see the fire twister changing, turning into a darker hue and the monsters coming out are getting more related to darker elements.
For a while now it's been mostly undeads, the colossals are more like giant living shadows walking the earth and the giants are more fleshless. The eyes of the titans are dull white with no pupils.
The halos on on me glowed brightly and expanded as I charge up a massive ball of light above my head, almost becoming a second sun in this world.
As I slowly fell down a unit of liches came flying towards me behind green reptail-like witches, standing at the back of their twisted brooms with a grim dreaky black ball on their staves.
A arrow shot pass me and pierced a witch leg, causing her to scream and suddenly change direction of her flight. The lich at the back screamed in anger and his spell went out of its grasps, the death ball shooting upwards to nowhere as it fell to the crowded field.
More arrows came and interrupted the witches and liches that tried to stop my spell from below. It was only a few seconds later that I was able to throw down the sun to the more populated areas of monsters and a white flash covered the land.
The air crashed into everyone that weren't a evil mob, but the monsters, the light shredded them bit by bit in a alarming rate and tore their bones or shells to the direction of the wind.
The light blinded everyones' eyes except for mine, but even if a majority of mobs died from that sun attack a more hideous existence came from the deathly black twister from afar.
It came alone in a normal size of a human, or say it was a human, a hero from a past. Long black ragged robes stripped with murky red clothes on it. A tall almost cone hat and a Ankhs. It was a fallen saint.
As it walked the desert behind it shook, lifting into the air and became alive, roaring as it stared at the armies of humans.
Scorpians bursted though the sand colossals with a black, red, and pale sand yellow shells. Large and unnaturally fast they came charging past the walking saint and jumped onto the field within the minute they came.
The light vanish and mayhem started again, another foreign creature the knights have to face and their range weapons were too slow or could not penerate their armor.
The nets flew to them and their pinchers cutted through them effortlessly, dodged the flying metal balls, the giant shooting stakes from mechanical scorpian grazed off their shells. Their efforts dropped fast and the front line was invaded.
As I was about to go back and help bring down the new invaders I felt something grab whole around my chest.
I turned around and saw it was a long hand of darkness coming from the Ankhs of the fallen saint and he was glaring at me, his dull eyes were narrowed with envy and his face crunched up in wrath.
The shadow grip also held the two golden shields hovering around me and crushed it effortlessly, then ripped me forward to the fallen saint and he pulled out a ruined excalibur from his back and readied himself to slash at me.
My arms were closed in to my chest and I couldn't free myself from the grip, I couldn't cast a spell in this position too so I had to use another sand marble before I came in range of the fallen.
I was in the desert when I materialised, high on top of a dune and far from the battlefield where I wanted to be.
This is a bad place to be if this mob could control sand.
I heard a loud roar behind me and a sand golem, hidden in the yellow wave came crushing down apon me, it arms throwing down to me as it collapse.
I jumped out of the way and the fallen was at my opposite side, its vampire like teeth hidden by its rotting appearance opened wide in his frown as he flew to me with the excaliber by his side.

The crashing sand in the air deafen my ears and blinded my left hand side but I thrusted my shield forward and hid behind it with my halberd behind me, looking at the sand to expect a shadow coming towards me.
I felt impact on my shield but there was no shadow, but as I fell back down his sword nicked my shoulderpad behind my shield and scratched the left side of my back.
"Argh! Damn it. I hate mobs like you." I cursed as I saw his sword had a corroding effect and black smog smoked from his cut on my armor.
I detatched my infected plates of, taking of the shoulderpad and the wide plate that protected my back.
I glance at the golden white metal crunching up into a ball, shrinking and screeching as the cut on it expanded and black aura swallowing it whole.
I tilted my shield if it was okay, it was but the effect of the slash was slower on the shield, the metal was silently opening apart from the cut and sizzled softly.
Ths shield, this shield took me a long time to obtain and I have no means of getting something like this again unlike the transphaser armor that would regenerate itself in a few moments from now.
I was a bit sadden that something like this shield was easily ruined but the shifting sand under me took my attention.
The sand broke open in a line, opening up like a sliding door and revealed where my home resides in, the void. My house wasn't in view since it's directly under the Queens' Cayon but falling from this height would kill anyone.
I ran from my spot and the fallen came flying towards me, defying gravity and was literally was running on the air like if there was a flat surface under him and came slashing at me so fast that his sword left no trail behind it.
I threw my shield at him and watched him cut it into cubiods and ran through it, still his shoulders looks like a blurry stick as his arms moved faster then my eye could track.
My back hitted something and stopped me from staying out of the fallens' attack, it was a giant wall of sand that appeared behind me and I slid down to the abyss.
The fallen dropped down as well, thrusting his sword towards me and let the momentum of the thrust guide him down.
I kicked at the air and hopped forward, a light rippling under my hops as I too defyed gravity.
The fallen shot his leg infront of him and slammed the air and came running after me, swaying the Ankhs in the air and sand around us followed its motion.
The walls of sand disconnected and rotated, imediately creating a circular wall around us with a roaring sound of the unnatural phenomena.
I span around and whacked my stave across the air but the fallen ducked down and punched his Ankhs to my face, instantly using magic and blasted a invisible force that threw my head on to the ripping wall.
My head hitted hard on the solid spinning wall and flung me to the direction of the rotation, dragging the rest of my body in a ride before I was sent back into the center of the cyclone.
"What a quick motherfucker!" I pushed my arms infront of me and jumped back on my feet on the air, slashing upwards with my halberd and span the head of the stave to the fallen, using quick magic as well.
The fallen side stepped my slash but the invisible force got a hit on his arm, lifting his left arm lifelessly and threw him away from me.
The quick force wasn't as strong as his but it was powerful enough to send him in the air for a few seconds before gazing his back on the wall.
I bet his stats are way over 10k, I can barely attack him even if he's not using the sand to distract me.
The fallen laughted from afar, making me confused but when I looked down I saw a red flame erupting from the void.
He's dragging in the inferno realm as well?!
The massive flame shot upwards inbetween us and burned the red dyed sky, brightening it more but rose the temperature of the land.
The pillar of flame was roasting my front but my resistence keep me stabled and slighty cool besides the inferno. But the surrounding sand quickly became transparent and merged into each other, creating thick glass around us.
A loud roar came from the inferno that shook the earth, it was the demons of the Brink wakening from their slumber.
The flame pillar lashed out chaoticly and I saw the fallen running around it, still with his large frown from before.
I charged towards him too, this wasn't the time to be running around while demons were soon to come.
I sliced down diagonally and span with the motion, cutting again on the same spot before jumping back and thrusting forward, using my long range as a advantage.
We fought more intensely without using magic as that'll delay our fight, but he would occasionally use the force to drag in flying glass pieces to my back or eye as I kept my distance.
He was extremely quick for his spieces, but that was there all to it, as we kept fighting on his flaw was opening wider and wider. His flesh could not resist the heat of the flame and cooked, becoming harder as his bones were drying out.
And in one moment something happened, it was quick but I saw that fault in his wrist. "Arthritis?" I questioned.
His sword was getting wobbly and unstable with every slash, twisting crookily as the sword was swept off with the air resistence.
I changed my blade on my staff for a wide block, making it a large hammer and slammed at the fallen as he struggled to hold his sword properly.
The bash ripped his shoulder off and he screamed, waving his staff at me to use force to throw me away.
Force was a quick way of using magic without charging or reciting, but there was only limited use for it and it could be blocked by another equally strong force.
I quickly changed the hammer into another stave head, the metal twisting into a cage with a plasma ball sitting on it. Would've been nice if I had both of the serpent eye back then.
I held my staff with both hand and turn it horizontally so it was easier to use the force.
His power in his was definity hard to push back, but the two orbs on my stave and the boost of the halos enchanted my attack and threw him into the pillar of flame.
The screech of the fallen haunted my ears but I stood there watching him disappear in the flame, thursting his stave forward for his last curse before dying.
"Gaush si'a li!" A gloomy hollow green skull came shooting out of the pillar in a flash, faster then I could react and the skull caught my shoulder and ripped me to the spinning glass wall at the back.
The skull vanished and the glass broke on my side, piercing deeply into my unguarded shoulder and shredding my immunity cloth a bit.
The damage wasn't that terribly bad but the large shard in my shoulder disabled my left arm.
"AH fuck that hurts!" I dropped back down with a light circle under my feet and held onto my bleeding shoulder. "Did the creators raise up the sensitivity in this game? Holy fuck this really~ really hurts!"
The tornado didn't die down after the notification of the fallen saint I fought finally died in the fire, but I was greeted with something else.
A large hand of magma with black crust exploded out of the pillar, its fingers larger then me and its arm bursted through the glass wall.
I sighted, exhausted and injured so I checked my stats, amazingly it shows I am still healthly and can go for another round after fighting few dozens of waves of monsters and a broken boss mob.
A light ball wouldn't do much against a demon like this, a light ball against a god like magma titan that could easily touch the clouds if wanted to.
"This seriously makes me wonder how I was able to make my house in the void without encountering something like this." I muttered as I watch a giant head forming from the hellflame pillar.
I didn't want to go on anymore and took out the last thing I have in my pocket. The golden dragon within a small glass ball.
I analyized it on my palm but still there was rows of '??' on my screen.
"The last strange object I had was a nova bomb, might as well call this a bomb too." I threw it to the generating demon.
The glass ball flew in the air and passed the flames harmlessly and tapped the skull of the demons' head before bouncing into the void below.
I watch it fall, and fall till it vanish in the darkness and looked back up, meeting a giant red slit iris as I looked up.
I clicked my tounge and jumped backwards, doing a forced instant charge and shot a beam of light directly on the eye mercilessly.
My mana exploded through the orbs and sparked out feriously from the unexpect command, the light beam wasn't converted light but my mana in pure form and shone even brighter then natural light.
The light wasn't the normal yellow or golden but just plain white that even I had to narrow my eyes behind the staff.
But all I heard was the miserable roar and white covered my sight. The air tingled my skin underneath my armor and my left arm became numb from the violent treatment it was getting.
A notification popped up and my mana bar appeared, draining fast from its 100k+ number in 10ks' each second. But another screen was hidden under it and was glowing bright.
'Fortune Dragon'
'Activate?'
That orb from before? I didn't hesitate and pressed the activation.
