Lythwyn 2

Chapter 1 : The Dawn Apocalypse

It's been a week since the annoucement of the final wave and a majority of players have already quited the game in the last few days.

The hundreds of players rapidly died down and only tens of us were left, the most faithful or most bloodthirsty players who awaited the apocalypse to come erupting out of the Queens' cayon on the burning chaparral.

I took my time organising myself in my virtual house, stacking and cleaning my trophies I won in the dragon tournament and PVP world tournament some years ago.

I had quite the collection of them and they all ranged to sculptures of golden saws to a humaniod statue holding a orb in the air.

"The last event huh? Looks like I'm finally going to use this." I pocket a small glass marble with a golden dragon in it, the orb glowed dimmly ever since I obtained this.

I had a large platinum curved in retangle shield and my limited edition multiweapon residing within the grasp of my shield, a metal rod with a plasma ball hovering on the two ends.

I was going all out today as I was also wearing my Sun god visor, cape and the Transphaser armor, increasing my resistence and affinity with light. The armor took on the same hue as the Sun God cape, making it pure white with golden plates, spikes and patterns.

I stood up from the ground of golden and silver statues around me and stepped over them, walking over to a large vault at the other end of the room.

The vault automatically opened and inside the room was a museum of strange objects and even cropses of some mobs hanged in a glass case with a plate under it, showing its name and discription.

I browsed quickly through, already know what I'd equip for the event starting later today.

I punched through a glass case with my gualet and ripped the human skeleton of the hook, my visor was sitting on my head so I smashed the skull on my forehead.

The bone broke on impact and shattered in the air, but shot onto my skin and build up a white pigment on my skin with a pattern of the skeleton structure.

I broke into another glass case, I didn't bother removing them properly as this would be my last time in here anyways.

There was aline of small colourful orbs safety tucked in the cusions of a purple wooden case. I took the nail size orbs from their holes and putted them in the gaps of my armor, the Transphaser armor happily swallowed them and I heard stone tabs inside my chestplate.

I looked over more glass cases, reading the label and moving on as they were unsuitable or not mobile during battle.

After my cursade through the vault I took a autocross bow with five barrel-clips of arrows. Two one-use dragon elmental scythes'. The Midnight wish and finally the space bag to carry those things.

I walked out of the vault and looked at the shelf on the wall and remebered something.

"That's right. I forgot about this." I took of a cloth laying on the shelf and tied it around my mouth and nose.

It was like the rag I had on when I fought the crystal serpent, but it was the strongest out of the immunity bands series. Making the wearer immune to all poison, gases, extreme temperature and even can work as an air tank under water.

I don't know how that can work but who cares? I'm not complaining about this.

I didn't bring my merging staff with me today, I would only use it if I was getting materials as it works as a space storage and is more fragile then everything I own, but I did take out the converted serpent eye and enchanted my multiweapon with it.

'Celeron is Online'

A small notification appeared at the top center of my screen as I walked out of the steel plated room and shutted the vault door behind me with a stomp on its surface.

[Celeron] : You there?

A text massage popped up just at the side of my view, opening the chatlog I had closed ever since this morning.

[Lythwyn] : Of course. I'll met you at the battle line.

[Celeron] : K, my sister is also joining as well if you don't mind.

After a few seconds of his message another notification popped up.

'Asselyna joined the Party'

Guardian Celeron (2410)

LightConductor Lythwyn (5000)

Elementalist Asselyna (844)

I untied a cloth from my shoulder and bounded my hair together with it, just making a simple tail over my shoulder.

I jumped over the small wall of trophies and went out the doorway, traveling through the passage that goes around my house from within.

This house was a strange one as its' interior structure is different then normal houses. All the rooms would be at the side of the house and there would be a large room in the middle, almost like a dome with a cross-section.

The vault was inside the dome like room in the middle of the house so I only had to walk straight out to go to the front door.

Outside was in a forever pitch black state, no backround, no enviroment and no light except the ones in and hanged around my house.

This game is extremely free and we could build our own house absolutely anywhere except in owned spaces or occupied spaces, various reasons for that but the main reason is to stop anyone building on hunting grounds and exploiting it by spawn killing and hogging the area.

And the first one to do that was me, hehe. I did that for almost a year till it got leaked and spreaded across the web. It was hard for me to level up as my class focused on healing and buffing players, also my first spell was a healing spell so yeah, even a sharpen stick was better then this class at early levels.

If you encounter this story on Amazon, note that it's taken without permission from the author. Report it.

I don't regret it or feel guilty, I gained hundreds of levels and money in this game, leveling up faster then any other classes out there within a day.

I didn't get banned, punished or warned, more of the opposite for finding a exploitable fault in this massive and loved game. I was allowed to keep whatever I earned during those months.

My home now is literally in the underworld, the deeper and darker part of the underworld. I moved my house to the boarder between the void and the inferno realm as no mobs spawn here and it doesn't appear in the maps, so this is pretty much a blind spot in the game.

Nothing generates here and the only way to pass is to have a guider, something or someone that has survive here before which is a NPC you'd have to lucky find in either realms or be a high level LightConductor.

I approached the green orb on a white concerte pillar as it glowed on the metal hooks underneath it and a screen appeared above it.

'HomeTown'

'Map'

'Stats Trainer'

I pressed on Stats Trainer and reseted it, using 100k Gold to do so and had all my Skill Points I gainted since level 1.

Level : 5,000 Skill Points : 25,000

STR : 2,443 + 143

INT : 4,715 + 135

WIS : 5,347 + 287

CHA : 5,102 + 151

LUK : 353 + 42

I didn't only train the LightConductor but also tried to master other classes as well, maxing out all other magic classes, nearly with two sword classes and gambled quite a bit I guess. Also explains why the fang of the jewel serpent broke so easily as its stats was under 3k.

This isn't going to be enough to face of a sea of god level monster in.. I switched on the menu infront of me and looked at the time ticking on the top right hand corner.

Within this hour it looks like it's going to start, I need to hurry.

Level : 5,000 Skill Points : 0

STR : 10,443 + 143

END : 10,198 + 356

The ground under me started rumbling and I heard loud roars echoing from the inferno realm above me. The monsters started their march to the gate of the upper world, the Queens' cayon.

"Equip LightLord." It was the Lord gamepass I bought from the game, but you'd only be able to unlock a type of lord matching ones' affinity.

Two rings of light started generating behind my back, the wide halo angled downwards just an arm away from me. Two more halos generated just above the back of my hands.

My status increased again with another thousand to each of them and I started to emit a faint golden light around me, brighting the area I was on.

"I wonder what Celeron looks like now?" The rings of light finished generating, one of the giant ring behind was directly above another light ring, spinning anti-clockwise as the bottom was spinning the opposite way with white runes fused on it.

I teleported back to my hometown and appeared above the town square, hovering as I saw other heavily equipped players walking towards the gate like a parade, their imitating, strange and powerful appearances catching the NPC's attention.

I spotted a Dragonslayer, a wizard with dozens of heavy big books floating besides him, warriors with large weapons riding on animals and some with their pets behind them, elemental or a miniature version of a ledgendary creature.

But the one that caught my eye where the two other lords here, one that had two black rings and dressed as a necromancer with a cloak of bones holding a twist staff with more but smaller bones and skulls around it.

The other was lightly armored, a dark purple cresent chest plate, shoulderpads and a plate on his lower legs all with brighter purple gems in it. The Soul Rouge had a violet ring above his hooded head.

Seems like I've caught the attention of the NPC's. Ahh.. I think I can see a few bowing down to me.

When my feet finally generated I dropped down from the sky, landing heavily on the uplifted circular plateform under me.

I trotted down the stairs and trailed behind the parade of strange heroes that stands out so much in this plain town. I mean look at that necromancer, his shadow radius is drowning everyone around him, making them look gloomy.

As I walk on the main road, passing the tall and wide houses a voice called out beside me.

"Lythwyn!" A small figure came pushing through the crowd of awe NPC's, her orange hair swayed around her babyface as she ran.

Now that I think about it I still don't know her name, the girl who works in the traven I usually stay in.

I stopped in my tracks and waved to her, my visor was still up so I guess I shouldn't be surprise she reconised me in something I've never worn all together.

"Lythwyn." She breathed out as she slowed down and came into a reasonable distance to have a conversation.

"What's happening? Why are you so heavily armored? Where are you going?" She let out flushed and confused with my appearance and the players actions.

I looked towards to where the towns' gate was, over in the distance from the gate was the large uplifted canyons, the gap between the broken wall was lighten up by hellfire climbing it, slowly reaching the top as it formed a portal.

"Does it have to do something with the earth shaking before?" She asked nervously.

"Yep, seems like the 'Gods' are wanting to end this world. Us hunters are just going to try our best as always." To the NPC's, the gods are more like an evil figure that always release monsters apon them.

She stood in silence, lowering her head and finally replied.

"Lythwyn.. If this is the end then please don't go... I- I wan-"

"Move out of the way already!" A paladin smashed into us, throwning the girl into the crowd like an object and just brushed me harshly.

The earth shook again and a crimson light shot to the sky, changing the ambient of the world into a blood like colour. The portal in the large gap was completed and a inferno twister exploded within the large outline of the flaming retangle.

Stay behind and talk to a program that I will never see again or go face the final wave with Celeron and his sister? Was on my mind as the roars of the titans echoed behind the fire twister.

I tilt my head in an apologetic way to where the girl was flung and tapped my chestplate, a coloured marble I put in eariler dropped out from the gap and fell on my palm.

"I'm sorry but, I really have to go now." I pulled down my visor to my eyes and crushed the marble, making me vapourised into golden sand.

I disperse fast to the canyon, going over the charging players spreading out of the gate and raced fast past the mounted warriors on the field.

The monsters have already ran out of the flaming twister covered in a coat of flames, buffing their stats and making them mad with bloodthirst.

Their eyes, bloodshotted and mouth drooling as they ran to the town with their weapons or tails in the air.

I sailed to the clouds, stopping just on the line of the battlefield. After calculating where I'd drop, finding a line of players on the line as well while they waited for the monsters to touch the field from the desert biome I materialized back into my normal form.

I was pretty damn heavy and zipped down to the ground within a few sort seconds, the air ripping under my feet with a loud screech that caught everyones' attention below and made way in panic.

The monsters were in my range and in my view so I shot an arrow towards the army of monsters before I felt the impact under my boots, the ground breaking upwards with the dirt exploding into a wave on the bystanders.

"Nice to see you Celeron. A DeathKnight huh?" I greeted at the surprised player holding onto his black skull design helment and a long, wide deathly sword in the other.

There was a girl beside him with long purple silky hair and a boulder fl-

The boulder bursted on my cheek, dazing me for a sort moment and I heard a quite 'oops' behind my eyelids.

Luckily I putted on my visor before coming, that would've really hurt if I didn't had it down.

"Nice to see you too Lyth, and a angel?" He greeted back.

"LightLord." I corrected. Turning around and found a man hovering infront of the line of players with his arms up, indicating the incomers to stop or slow down.

"Hm? Isn't that guy from the meeting last week?" A voice came from behind the line as he was slowing down.

"Yeah, he thinks he's leader of all of us and is going to do the charging signal." A man besides him answered.

"Just ignor him, we're just here because it's easier to fight on the field instead of the desert." Another one joined in from the other side of the line.

I looked over the small company of players and noticed Asselyna was the only girl here. Standing protectively beside her brother. She looks younger then Celeron but..

"Is she your older sister?" I asked.

"How did you know?"

"Because that's what my brother is like around our sister." It was pretty obivous too, she had the maturity kind of look and aura emitting from her.
