Zyrus stared at the giant who was wearing a blue tunic. Millions of thoughts sparked in his head as he assessed the situation.
‘Is he from sector A that’s neighboring the plains of Ilios?’
But that wouldn’t make sense either. The giant was strong, but not on the level of sector A.
“Annoying little pests,” the giant swatted at Zirnitra with the same bored expression. The motion was similar to someone waving their hands at the fly which was soiling the desert.

Zyrus leapt from the Wyvern’s back and transformed into an emerald dragon. This was the result of him using his skill, title, and the Nastronder dragon trait simultaneously.
“What the-”
The giant was gobsmacked as the little bug in front of him suddenly became a hundred times bigger. Now, both the dragon and the giant were similar in size.
Zyrus didn’t waste even a second and gripped the twilight crusher in his claws. It was an epic weapon, and as such, it transformed alongside Zyrus.
*Bang*
But both the dragon and the Goedendag were hurtled back with the giant’s slap. Zyrus got a clear view of the area outside the desert.
‘As I thought, the real Plain of Ilios lies here,’
Dozens of similar deserts were littered around the area. There was something very wrong with the laws governing this place. At one moment, both he and the giant were huge while becoming normal on the other second.
*Baaang*
*Stab*
The fight shifted from a grandiose battle between a giant and a dragon to a scuffle between a man and a snake holding a spear. Zyrus got the gist of it after exchanging a dozen blows with the enemy.
‘It has nothing to do with actual height. The size in this world corresponds to one’s power,’
He didn’t know much about the area despite having the map. What he knew was general details like environment and materials present in the area, now the actual terrain. There was a big difference between looking at a 2D holographic map and seeing with his own eyes.
*Stomop*
Zyrus spat a mouthful of blood after being kicked by the giant. It would be easy to kill his enemy, but he was in need of a sparring partners. Of course, this only applied as long as the enemy was alone. The moment another giant approached would be the time this one died.
He was sure that the condition for establishing contact with the headquarters was related to these giants.
[Arcane Lance]
“Argh- What sorcery is this! How come a snake like you can use magic?”
*ROOOOAR*
What replied the giant was another bite on the forearm. With his overlapped abilities, Zyrus wasn’t any less poisonous than the Nidhogg king.
‘I’m at 90% of my powers, and yet, I’m held back by a civilian,’
Zyrus was sure that the giant was nothing but a common farmer. The deserts were in fact miniaturized planes used as farms. This seemingly absurd farming system would only work in a place like this. The size of everything depended on their powers, including inanimate objects and even entire planes. Earth would be nothing more than a pebble if it was transported to this place.
In this fight that lasted less than a minute, Zyrus had figured out a key factor. There was a good reason why the sandworms and scorpions were used as kettles. They should have certain inherent abilities or mutations that made them bigger after leaving the desert planes.

As for the specifics, he didn’t have the leisure to think about them. A minute was enough to test his powers. Any more and he was bound to attract unwanted attention.
“Huff…Huff…I’d better call the guards,”
“No you won’t,” Zyrus spoke for the first time as he stopped the giant. Numerous desert plains and the garden that harbored them was reflected in his yellow eyes. His range of perception was reduced to mere 100 feet, but it was enough.
[Void Quandary]
[Spatial Stab]
The area dimmed as a tiny black sphere formed in front of the giant’s chest. Before he could even blink his eyes, he was stabbed through by the twilight crusher.
The combination of an attack that negated all defense and an attack that collapsed space was still unrivaled.
*RRRIiiiiiiiiiiinnnnggggggg*
A siren blazed off along with flashes of red light. Zyrus took it as his cue to leave and jumped into the desert.
‘It’s a strange feeling,’
He was still unsure about the laws of the desert and the giant’s world, but he was back nonetheless. In conclusion, the deserts were deemed as the plane of Ilios whereas the giant’s world should be related to sector A. The reason the threat level was unidentified was most likely due to giants' interventions.
“You’re back, My liege,”
“Hurry up, we’re leaving now,” Zyrus launched a barrage of attacks upon the battlefield. He had sensed the way back from the parchment, so it was time he concluded the first part of the mission.
‘I have to finish this in a minute,’
That much time was enough for the giant guard to notice its dead kinsman and find the one responsible.
He could escape right now, but then he’d lose all yet-to-be corpses on the battlefield.
[Good day]
It was the repeat of the same skill, but this time, his summons was alive. Glory allowed them to tank the sandworms and scorpions’ attacks while they infected everyone.
“Elsid, Zirnitra, activate the formation,”
*Spalatter*
The abyssal legion self-detonated after infecting the enemies. The desert was marred with black miasma as far as the eyes could see. Even the grains of sand were turning into black tar under the abyssal mana.
*ROOOOOAR*
“March Forth!”
The desert rumbled under the commander’s orders. Dunes arose from the ground and engulfed Elsid and Zirnitra within.
“Guoooo,”
Zyrus kneeled beside the excited ghoul and watched the transformation. The pain he felt was far worse compared to his fight against Oroszlan. But at the same time, the might of the legion of abyss had skyrocketed
*GRRROOOOAARRRR*
An abyssal creature much bigger than him or the giant emerged from the sky-high pillar of sand. Both the scorpions and the sandworms had stopped their fight in the face of the new enemy.
‘30 seconds left…it should be enough,’
Zyrus absorbed the corpses in the momentary impasse and channeled all his mana. His role was to use both races and raise more ghouls. He couldn’t send them back to earth, but there was a way to take them to Streit Bastion.
He could just turn them into new summons, but that was pointless. He didn’t have the time to neither nurture nor summon more abyssal creatures on this mission. The current abyssal legion was his limit, so he had to think of other ways.
The creature formed with the abyssal legion and his named subordinates looked like an abomination. Its claws stained the sky black whereas its tentacle-like legs pierced through every living creature. It was impossible to tell whether it was a humanoid, a tree, or an octopus.
*ROOOOOOAR*
But whatever their transformed state may be, his summons had done their job. In just 20 some seconds the battlefield had become devoid of life.
“Now then, let’s awaken your friends,”
“Guooooo,”
[Ghoul reanimation]
*Crrrack*
*Sizzzle*
The mountains of flesh crumbled and rivers of blood dried out. Thousands of monsters were turned into beating hearts, enveloped by cages of bones.
586 ghouls were thus born.
Without wasting an additional second, Zyrus sent his will into the parchment.
And, as always, he was teleported alongside 587 ghouls.
…
Streit Bastion, main entrance.
Zyrus stood in front of the massive skyscraper once again. He expected to cause another ruckus by popping out along with hundreds of ghouls, but fortunately, that didn’t happen.
‘It’s a league above the inventory,’
Zyrus looked at the back of the parchment as he waited in the line. A ghoul’s green skull was drawn at the corner, along with the number 587 at the edge. Just like the inventory, the ghouls were stored in a separate space which was accessible by the parchment.
“Come in, May I know your purpose for visit?” A pleasant voice called as he reached the end of the line.
“I’m here for the supplies,” Zyrus showed the same parchment to the elf receptionist.
“Special promotion….I see, come with me. You can get your supplies as a captain and even withdraw years’ worth in advance. With 10% compound interest of course.”
“….Just give me one year’s advance. Do I get to choose or is it fixed for everyone?” Zyrus replied with a tired face. He felt like he’d be losing his pockets if he traded his rewards with what he needed.
“Some are fixed, some are given based on your mission. On top of that, you get 1000 contribution points to purchase anything."
Zyrus nodded and walked behind the shrewd elf lady. It looked like his gut feeling was correct yet again.
