As expected of something related to Jörmungandr. It was a life-changing talent that didn’t lose out to blood fusion that was a rank higher.
It was perfect for him who wanted to embark on the path of physical cultivation. It would be difficult to substitute spiritual qi with mana alone, but now had had a better alternative.
As for the special ability, the first one required practice to gauge its potential. The second one didn’t need any explanation on how useful it was. From now on, he wouldn’t die due to environmental factors.
Even if there were some side effects of it, nothing was worse than dying.
‘It’s about time I distribute my stats as well,’
He already guessed what his new level-up bonus would be. He was sure that the transcended stat would be removed from the level-up bonus.
‘There’s no way the system can improve something that’s transcended,’
Coupled with his racial trait, it wasn’t difficult to predict what his level-up stats would be. Now, the key here was which stat to transcend.
Zyrus had no idea what it meant or what effects would it have. But since the cube didn’t tell him anything on its own, he would have to figure that out by himself.
‘Strength, Agility, Vitality, Intelligence, Mana,’
Five words were floating in front of his eyes. He had to make a decision before he completely absorbed all of the blood.
Zyrus thought about the Jörmungandr as he looked at the stats. Since the talent was derived from him, transcending a stat which was related to his power would give better results.
‘He undoubtedly possessed great strength. Agility is a given for someone who roams the vast cosmos.’
The same was true for mana and intelligence. However, Zyrus didn’t feel like these stats showcased the true power of the World-Devouring Serpent.
Its immense size and its laws of devouring were a testament to his vitality.
‘Besides, my vitality is my highest stat right now,’
Zyrus didn’t hesitate any further and touched the word
*Shuaaa*
The remaining blood boiled over as if it was placed on a frying pan. It was the same for the blood within his body.
He felt like he was being cooked alive as the boundless energy flowed in and out of his body. Every cell of his was transforming once again.
But unlike before, a change occurred in his soul as well. Zyrus was unable to tell what was happening due to the immense pain. Even his eyes of annihilation failed to detect any anomaly.
Thus, he could do nothing except clench his teeth and wait till the process was over.
*Crrrack*
*Crrack*
His scales fell of one by one, and new bluish-grey scales grew at the same time. The energy that seemed endless was consumed without a trace left behind.
‘That’s weird… there’s no change,’
Zyrus didn’t feel a single change after the process was over. His vitality felt no different from before.
He opened the screen once again to see what changes happened after this mission. And sure enough, he was greeted by something other than his transcended stat.

|+| Congratulations! You have obtained the title: Plague Bearer |+|
|+| Your existence will be remembered forever |+|
Today was a day full of surprises. Zyrus never expected that he’d get his second title in such a manner. But before checking out his title, he decided to open his trait.
[Nastronder Dragon (Partial awakening)]
You can recover your MP by devouring the corpses of those slain by you.
Recovered MP = Slain creature’s Level/8
Note: Special materials and Authorities are required to fully awaken the trait.
‘It’s as I expected…’
He was sure that the core of this trait was related to his crown. The trait should have exhausted all of its potential by now, but such wasn’t the case. The only reason this happened should be due to his crown’s authority.
‘It won’t be easy to find materials on the ocean, so I’ll think about it later on,’
He had more pressing matters to deal with, starting with checking his title and awakening his sleeping weapon.
Titles were on the same level as the crown’s and flag’s authorities. They had a higher level of power compared to the skills. He once wondered what ‘Your existence will be remembered forever’ meant, but after his regression, he had a bold guess about it.
Zyrus closed the rest of his tabs and opened on his second title.
[Plague Bearer]
He who is the incarnation of pestilence, the harbinger of decease and decay. But fret not, dear mortals, For you shall receive salvation in Plague’s Embrace.

Note: Ghouls are not considered summons.
[The effects of the title will improve depending on your actions]
‘Damn, this is vicious even for me…’
Forgetting the abomination like third authority, just the second one was cruel. It was a dreadful moral-breaker that’d work against everyone who didn’t have a purifying mage or holy artifacts.
‘And outside of the sanctuary, the first one is the strongest,’
Just imagining hundreds of thousands of his summons fighting with poison-attributed attacks made him shiver. Just hit once in a kamikaze attack, and whoosh! Your enemies will be poisoned to death.
Zyrus was more than satisfied with his haul this time. He was itching to fight with all his newfound powers, but he had to wait before the year's end. Matope had promised him a fight without any rewards.
And right now, being able to fight without holding anything back was the reward he needed the most.
‘Especially since I can’t go back to earth for some reason…’
Perhaps the fight between the flying squirrel and the invaders was still going on. Zyrus found it hard to stomach that he and his summons were being sidelined due to their lacking strength.
‘Haa…anyway, I’ll go into solitary practice after this,’
Zyrus had long since decided to go into a closed-door seclusion like the martial artists. But before that, he had one last task left to do.
His one and only weapon, the one who was with him all the way in the first ring, the one who pierced his obstacles to the reach path of origin…it was time to awaken his weapon.
*Thunk*
Zyrus took out his bloodspine spear and stabbed it into the scale below him. It had already gained nascent sentience after the fight at the city of ruin, and thus, it understood his command without him speaking a word.
*Whoooom*
The scale and the spear trembled as if an electric current passing through them. Zyrus had prevented the spear from evolving for this moment.
*Drip*
He bit on his thumb and dropped his blood on the bloodspine spear. His bloodline provided the necessary conditions for two items to fuse.
*Crack*
The scale and the spar shattered bit by bit. Instead of leaking any energy, both were devouring the environmental mana like a whale drinking water.
Zyrus envisioned the shape of the weapon and relayed his will to the evolving spear. He molded the mana according to his will and placed the evolving spear at the center of it.
This was the basic process which would end with the next step of adding the needed materials. Normal evolution didn’t require many things, but what he wanted was an epic item.
Thus, it was time to empty his inventory.
