As I woke up the next day I went downstairs and saw my mom making breakfast.
“Good morning” my mom said
“Good morning” I replied
She put a plate of eggs and bacon on the table and then put a piece of toast on it. I was wondering if I should tell her about me becoming a hunter and decided against it. She would probably make me quit anyways.
I finished up my breakfast and went back up to my bedroom. I looked up the Gate website and started scrolling through E-Rank gates. The Association would sometimes give these gates away for free because most people did not want them and there were an overwhelming amount of them. I looked up Zombie E-Rank gates. There were a couple of them but there were 2 very close to where I live. These ones were not free. I had to pay 500$ for each of them but the profits would greatly outweigh the money spent.
I went to where the first gate was and entered. I ended up putting all of the 13 Ability Points into Intelligence. My stats now looked like this.
[ Stats ]
[ Strength: 4 ] [ Agility: 5 ] [ Intelligence: 17 ]
I now had 190 MP. I also realized that the more MP I had the faster It would recover. I now recovered 2 points per 10 seconds.
I entered the dungeon and was greeted with a forest with four huge walls surrounding the area.

* 15 Ability Points

This was good to see. It seems that the stronger the dungeon I entered the better the rewards I would get. As soon as I entered I heard a low growl. I saw a zombie come out from behind the tree. I turned on my skill and took out the knife that I had gotten from the goblin. I approached the zombie and cut its head off. I then turned the skill off.
Ping!

You have Leveled up!
I checked out my stats.

I decided to wait on putting my points into anything. I then started to walk farther into the dungeon. I soon came upon a giant graveyard. This was very common in the Zombie Dungeon. Suddenly a hand popped out of the ground. Then about 100 more. This was surprising. Though rare these events did happen sometimes. Because they can happen at random and you don't know which dungeons would hold them, they have taken the lives of many unprepared hunters.

I however had a my system so I could easily take care of these low level monsters. As their heads started to pop out of the ground I would decapitate them.

Ping you have leveled!
Though this worked for a while there were just too many to keep doing it this way. I wanted to see if I could do this without my skill but I guess I would have to use it. As the zombies started to crawl out from the ground surrounding me I turned on my skill. Every time I used it, it reminded me of how powerful it was. I then went over to each zombie and proceeded to cut off their heads. Even though I had gotten this dagger from one of the low level goblins it had proven to be very effective against the zombies.
I then pulled up my menu.

My stats were looking good. I could now pause time for 125 seconds. Over 2 minutes! That is a lot of time. I then started on my way to the boss fight.

I arrived at a wide open field and saw a 2 meter zombie holding a greatsword. Like the goblin paladin it was facing away from the entrance. The thing about the Zombie paladin is that it can summon minions and it can revive itself before actually dying. I turned on my skill and walked up to it. I chopped off its head and turned off my skill. Then it started to summon its minions. I quickly dealt with these guys.
Ping!
You have killed the enemy!
The paladin was done regenerating by the time I was done killing its minions so I turned Time Pause back on. I went up to it and chopped its head off. Even though I just started I could already clear the hardest F-Rank dungeon by myself. This system was pretty overpowered. I then heard a familiar chime as I was looking at the corpse of the Zombie Paladin.

Even though you awaken with skills you can not get any more once you awaken. There is one exception though. Skill Stones. These are very rare items that hardly drop from even A-Rank Monsters. To get one of the cheapest ones you still had to pay at least $100,000,000. This is why this was huge. I am pretty sure I had gotten the skill by reaching level 15. Does this mean every 15 levels I would get a new skill. This was something no other hunter could do. This system was pretty complex. I guess I will find out more about it the more I use it.

Even if it was just an E-Rank Soul Core I got I could still sell it for at least $5,000. Plus the sword I had gotten from it would at least get me another $1,000. This was a huge profit. $6,000 for $1,000. If I subtracted what I spent then I would get $5,000. But there was also a 10% tax from the Association so I would really only get $4,400. But this was still a big profit from an E-Rank dungeon. I would probably be able to enter a D-Rank Dungeon soon. In terms of ability I could probably already be considered a top level hunter. But I had no way to confirm this.
I arrived at the Association building and walked in. There was a nice looking lady sitting at the desk. This was who you would sell the Soul Cores you had to. I walked up here and placed the Soul Core on the desk. Even though I could not sell the sword I had gotten here, I could just put it up on the Hunters market. This was the place where you would put the weapons, armour, and skill stones up for sale. Even though it was an E-Rank item it still had good durability and could easily cut through D-Rank monsters so I could probably sell it pretty fast. I took the money $3,400 from the lady sitting behind the desk and left. I was going to raid the other dungeon tomorrow. Hopefully I will make as much as I did today.
