Dearest diary,

I've yet to have gotten a full night of sleep and the melody keeps getting louder and louder. After entering the cave again I found a side entrance to another cavern. I found some sort of rocky beach covered in remains and some strange substance. The substance is sticky to the touch and appears to be a sort of slime, I attempted to grab some samples but I was interrupted by a terrifying, piercing shriek, I ran as fast as I could. I am not sure if it was from the lack of sleep or if it was real, but I've caught a glimpse of a very large, fish-like tail.
