The day of ‘Operation Scare Tactic’.
With all the materials we gathered yesterday, first we spent the morning at the facilities of the Adventurer’s Association to carve up the Bladetler Deer.
The Bladetler Deer has large Antlers mimicking blades you would find on daggers and swords. This was perfect to make the glove of my costume.
The hide of the deer was stripped and kept for later usage.
We left some of the edible meat for later, while using parts of the fats, muscles and tendons as part of the costume.
The muscles and tendons are cut into chunks and seared until one side is cooked to various degrees of burntness, matching that of burnt skin/body.
These bits will be used to be stuck onto my face to create a creepy burn victim’s looks.
Bits of fat will be stuck to Daami’s face, to make her face look distorted and gross in general.
Plus even if it looks more silly than gross during the day, since the plan will be carried out at night with relatively lowered visibility it will be fine.
The heart will be kept later with some of the fresh blood.
The organs will be cut up as well and will be used.

It is lunchtime and we took some of the deer meat to a roast meat stall and asked them to cook some of the portions for our lunch, in return we will give them the rest as compensation, in which they agreed generously.
After a delicious barbeque lunch, we went back to the inn to work on the remaining costumes and equipments.
“Oh? Daami, you’re quite good at sewing?”
“Of course! After grandpa passed, I had to learn to make and repair my own clothes, a girl has to take care of herself you know?”
“Heeh~ that's quite impressive.”
I’ll have Daami sew the dress she will wear.
“I got this spare sheet from the Inn’s receptionist, she said we could have it. So make a simple dress out of it ok?”
Daami’s eyes are glittering, wait don’t tell me…
“Do not make it more complicated than necessary! Just make it S.I.M.P.L.E got it? Since it will be thrown away after, understand?”
She's nodding now, looks like the glittering has gone away… I hope. She was totally going to try and make it pretty for no reason.
I wonder how she will react when I’ll tell her to roll in the mud before we commence our plan…

Night time, a few more hours until Midnight.
I got some spare mantles and used a special darkness magic called ‘Void Paint”, it’s a simple camouflage magic that I can apply like paint over surfaces, the more magic I use the longer it lasts, however it takes a bit of time to apply.
Beside the magic’s ability to absorb light so we can blend into the darkness, it also absorbs other things such as sound and vibrations. We can reduce the noise made from the surface the magic is applied to.
I spent 1 whole hour applying it onto the two mantles we will wear as well as our shoes. With alot of my mana spent in making sure the ‘Void Paint’ will last throughout the night, I am a bit low on mana.
Afterwards I decided to explain Daami’s roles very clearly before heading out, and making sure she understood I had to keep quizzing her…
“... ok check all your equipment and lets go!”
We picked up our two rucksacks, with Daami's one containing the rabbits and some other things, while mine contained props, and covered our faces with cloth masks.
With one hour to go and 30 min travel time to the mansion, we headed out.
