Being Part on the Holy Roman Empire is quite a headache, first of all i need to pay "tributes to the crown" from time to time, and most of all is the acquisition of levies which drastically depletes my manpower. Now it's the year 1115 four years after my fathers death if i remember correctly the battle of Welfesholz is coming and my county will be included in this pointless war again, so to prevent this I slowly tried to distance myself from my liege lord in an inconspicuous manner and tried to achieve some benefits from the empire via my futuristic knowledge

It maybe foolish and stupid for many reasons but I have my plans. First with the ongoing Saxon conflict and the atrocities commited by the emperor to the Pope I can get the proper legitimacy to declare my so called "benefits", since after my fathers death I sent some envoys to Henry V and and proposed to him some of my knowledge such as the use of potato and the 4 field crop rotation, I tried not to help him in some military matters and most of all his impending defeat from the Saxons to prevent some severe deviation in the histories timeline, I also did the same to Frederick II of Swabia so that at least i can assure that i have a positive image on the current and the next emperors

I may offend the some people with this plan of mine however so in order to prevent that I tried to get on the good side of the Pope in Rome, I asked the current emperor Henry that in exchange for knowledge that he enforce my claim of Pfirt so that at least i can expand my domain slowly. The county of Pfirt is my stepmothers domain so with shaky claim I tried to take it.

It's already the 1st day of February Year 1115 when suddenly Emperor Henry V called for me with my levies...

I went to where Henry is I did the necessary courtesy and finally went on with our business with his vassals listening within the court of course.

Henry V: Count Alberto I admire your deep knowledge and administrative skill but I am afraid i must disappoint you, even though that in exchange with the knowledge and services you and your father had rendered for the empire I must currently decline your request of lessening the tributes and levies required to be given to me currently for as of now i am in dire need of talents, troops, and money to defend the empire against the rebel Saxons.

Alberto: I accept your will your majesty with a heavy heart, but would you permit this lowly one to ask why you called me on this court?

Henry V: As I have said earlier my Count I admire your talent and knowledge that why I want you to be one of my court advisers this is not a request however but an order.

The vassals within the court was flabbergasted with Henry's proposal more so for me. The worst thing is he made it into an order, is he not afraid that it may sow discontent with his followers? letting a lowly count such as me be one of his advisers?

Henry V: What is your answer?

Alberto: I accept your majesty

Henry: Well then as my first question for you what do you think I should do for this current war?

I am totally panicking right now, I cant just divulge him tactics because if he wins history will greatly change and when he loses because of using my answers my head will roll! What am i supposed to do? Maybe i'll just answer it like this.

Alberto: Your majesty this lowly one does not have any talent regarding military matters and would like to excuse myself from answering such questions to prevent my inexperience lead to major problems your majesty.

Some nobles: Yes your majesty why ask him regarding such delicate matters? 

Another noble: This kid is still too young your majesty and his answer might just smell trouble!

An old noble: Your majesty please take this problem seriously.

The court was in an uproar, during that time i went to the sidelines with the emperors permission and watch the quarreling statesmen do their thing. Honestly even though this guys are somewhat foolish they saved my neck this time everything was going quite smoothly for me when suddenly.

Henry V: Enough! I'll not ask Count Alberto any questions regarding it any longer in exchange he goes to the battlefield with me as an adviser still.

A noble: That decision is much more better your majesty

Henry V: So everyone is on accord?

All nobles: We accept and follow your decision your majesty

I'm dead... I am so dead.
