[Intermediate Fire Resistance Potion.]
[Description: Grants user 25% additional fire resistance for a limited time of 30 minutes. Please note, In area's of extreme heat potion may not take effect.]
"Not bad indeed, Hmm this will certainly come in handy for the dungeon."
"As for the rest of the flaming stalkgrass, well there should be enough for close to 40 more bottles. Two each for every team member then the rest can just be a back up of sorts. Oh and I'll give Connor some extra bottles. Can't be doing him dirty now can we." Alex muttered to himself as he was already about to start preparing his next potion.
"Ah, before I forget, I need to add Connor, after all him seeing my gamer ID will be something I should talk to him about before the regional dungeon."
Using the In game system, Alex moved to a section that was directly used for players to see party interfaces and their individual friends list.
Typing in the name 'KingSlayer', Alex requested to be friends.
"Now then, back to potion making until that dufus accepts my request."
For the next two hours in game, Alex managed to make a total of 40 [Intermediate Fire Resistance potions] and after reaching such a number his materials were all but depleted.
There was still no word from Connor and truthfully, Alex was debating whether or not to log out and ring him telling him to accept his god dam friend request.
Yet, he let it slide and left the Alchemy guild. He had to pay some extra money for going overboard with their usage of common grade herbs but it was only a couple gold so he didn't complain and handed the money over.
"I guess the only thing left for me to do is to find a semi reliable secondary dagger. This whole time I've just been going with a one handed assassin approach but that's just not my playstyle."
"I mean come on, dual wielding daggers is just so much cooler!" He smirked to himself thinking he was childish.
It was true though, In his past life Alex always had two daggers at his disposal. That way he wasn't limited to attacking and defending at different times. He could fend of attacks with one dagger while still dealing damage.
Alex had a very aggressive playstyle like most damage dealers, so playing with only a single dagger currently, even though it was EPIC grade, limited his effectiveness in battle. The only reason he hadn't bought a secondary dagger was because Novice grade and even Common grade would just crumble. Especially when he went of and fought against magical creatures 10+ levels higher than him.
Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.
Interrupting his thoughts, Alex's system made a 'bing' sound.
[Player KingSlayer has accepted your friend request!]
"About time!" Alex shouted in the middle of the street as a couple of people looked at him like he was a weirdo. To which Alex just coughed and carried on walking.
"Connor dude, why did you take ages to accept my friend request?"
"Alex?" KingSlayer replied via the system chat.
"WOW! Check the ego on this guy, humph tells me to add him then doesn't remember who he sits beside in class." Alex jokingly replied.
"Alex?"
"Yes it's Alex, dude seriously how slow do you want to be."
"Ah Alex, dude, why is your name Player 1? Like seriously what type of wack name is that. Boring!"
'Player 1? Looks like merlin's cape is better than I thought. I can even mask the system interactions.'
"Hahaha about that I'm just wearing a piece of amour that can mask my identity. You know with being an assassin, it's kinda useful."
"Ah, I see. So what is your actual in game name?"
"Zero.."
"Yep and I'm actually the president of the United Nation.. Never mind come meet us outside the regional dungeon we just arrived. Look for the kid with the best looks and the biggest shield.. That's me If you couldn't guess."
"Alright I'll be there in 10."
"Sweet bro later!"
.
.
Alex spent the next five minutes making his way over too one of the more popular buildings for guilds in the city.
The Weapon Outlet.
Players could buy and sell weapons they had salvaged for some extra change and buy weapons that met their requirements when they ranked up. After all, not many were stingy enough to go hunting beasts every time they hit a new level gap for being able to apply higher grades of armour.
Alex didn't spend long before he found a low tier Bronze grade dagger. It wasn't a very good dagger by any means. In fact the only thing it had going for itself was the high durability and enough damage stats to classify it as a Bronze grade piece of weaponry.
[Bone Dagger.]
[Description: Bronze grade dagger crafted by a local blacksmith using the materials of the bones from the Mountain Wolf. Sturdy and reliable for the being a Bronze grade piece of weaponry.]
[Requirement: LvL 15 - Job assassin]
[Damage + 12%]
[Durability 1000/1000]
"Hmm this will do I guess. I'll need to upgrade it soon but I should be able to equip it once we complete the first run through the dungeon in regular mode."
Right now Alex was still only Level 13. However, with the additional XP from crafting potions he was close to levelling up to level 14.
"Now then I better go meet Connor otherwise he will complain for keeping him waiting."
Moving over to the outer walls of the City there was a huge building that had an insane amounts of people congregating in it at every moment.
This was the teleportation building. A breakthrough in the magic world that let crafters link different places around the world as long as their was a start and a end point.
Of course these were set by the game already.
For a toll of 50 silvers you could use this to go anywhere pretty much.
Alex used it to teleport directly to the regional dungeon area.
The volcanic peaks.
A place filled with molten lava and dangerous fiery magical creatures. A level 20+ territory for the most part. Due to the regional dungeon though, it was somewhat safe as most monsters chose to enter the dungeon freely.
"Now then, where's Connor at?"
