"Don't worry from today onwards I'm going to be the one helping both off you. Look!" He said as he flashed his phone in front of both his Mother and Father.
Two sets of eyes fixated on Alex's worn down iPhone 5. Despite it being one of the old gen phones though, it was clearly well looked after. A testament to how much it was valued.
The calm gazes soon turned into shock, then excitement, before some concerns were seen in their now widen eyes.
"Alex.. What.. What is this?"
The number on his phone showed his bank account that was binded to his identity to the United Nation. The number reached a staggering 7.78 million CP points.
An absurd number for a student that had yet to work a day in his life.
"Where did you get so much money from?" Alex's mother was the first too voice her concerns as she was hoping he didn't get himself into trouble.
"Hahaha!" Alex laughed as he expected this outcome. Despite their being so much money in front of them, his parents didn't show any signs of greed or jealousy that most people and some parents normally would. All they showed was pure blissful happiness and concern for Alex's wellbeing.
Despite being touched by their response, Alex calmly replied to settle their concern. "Don't worry, It's 100% legal and I can promise you right here and right now, It wasn't caused from any underhanded means. This all came from playing the new game that just came out." He proudly and confidently spoke to his parents.
His father seemed unable to stop a proud smile forming on his face after his concerns were dispelled. "Haha, Janice do you see this. Our son has grown up. He's a man now." He shouted as he approached Alex and firmly hugged him.
Alex was overcome by his embrace. It should be known that his father rarely expressed his loving emotions so openly. After all, he was a old fashion man mainly behind the times. He preferred to express them by pushing his son through education, and providing for his family.
His mother also somewhat surprised yet became beyond happy as she was moved to tears. She then proceeded to join in the fun by by bombarding Alex with hugs and kisses as if he had returned to a baby in her arms.
After some time Alex had to distance them. "Alright, alright, that's enough with the hugs and kisses mum. I'm a man now I have some pride to uphold after all."

"Tch you will always be a little baby to me." She scoffed with a vibrant smile on her face.

Alex spent some time with his parents relishing in their company before preparing for his next steps.
Just because he wasn't in game didn't mean his plans stopped. After all, he had one major problem to overcome.
He needed a team for the upcoming regional dungeon.
Apart from that, he needed supplies to supplement his body for using techniques in game like Void Steps.
Lastly, he wanted some better clothes. He wasn't a fan of his current look. Dressed in some thin jumpers and sweatpants of poor quality.
With this in mind, he picked up his phone and dialled one of the only numbers in his contacts.
"Yo man, what's up? Don't tell me you are struggling to function now downtime has started and you need my humble assistance." The person on the other end of the phone openly joked.
Of course this person was Connor from his university class.
"What do you mean function, I'm a perfectly acceptable functioning human to society."
"Listen man, I was just wondering if you wanna grab food soon. With downtime an all there's not much to do anyways. You can tell me all about your wonderful skilful adventures."
"Haha, At least you know what's up. This menace is unrivalled with a shield in my hand."
"I'm free anytime so pick a time and a place and I'll be there man."
"Sweet man, later."

2 hours later Alex was walking in a somewhat luxury environment that was for upper-class people. Despite the gazes he was being greeted with he paid no heed to them as he approached a store branded with the name 'Luxury Wears'.
It was a high end store with the usual designer outlets that all the sporting stars and celebrities of this generation wore. It had a reputation of being expensive. So obviously if you wore it you were seen as higher class.
Truthfully, Alex thought it petty but he himself had to admit the clothes looked and felt good when you wore them. That was the only reason why he was here.
Waking into the store he was greeted by the usual staff.
"Afternoon visitor, If there's anything you need let us know." The young attendee dressed in company clothes smiled.
However, after she saw who walked in and what he was wearing her whole demeanour seemed to change, losing her outward friendly smile before scowling lightly with judgement.
"Esteemed one, might this be the wrong store. I'm afraid the store sells top of the line wears. It might be out of the regular people's price range." Despite the mockery in her tone she didn't directly tell Alex to leave. She after all knew her boundaries and wouldn't openly tarnish the stores reputation.
"I'm just browsing, don't worry." Alex voiced as he walked past her in a unhurried manner.
He didn't show any displeasure to her mockery causing the young woman to think he was a brainless idiot unable to pick up on it.
The young women was a beauty by any means. Even with wearing all black clothes as she had an aura of prestige to her that couldn't be masked. She had a pretty yet naïve face, which she wore a look of entitlement in her every move.
Minutes passed as Alex continued to browse different options of clothes. Which only caused the woman to further look down on him as a window shopper.
"Humph, common trash shouldn't bother to go this far. Acting is just embarrassing." She openly voiced in a gentle manner.
Enough though so her remark could be heard to Alex.
'So these types of people really do exist. Just plain imbeciles'.
