"Hey, are you listening? Should I call the Police for you? Oof! Why am I even asking this question? Wait for a second, I am calling the Police immediately. We should definitely get your vehicle back." The nurse kept on talking and she took out her phone to dial the Police department to lodge a complaint for Jake's sake.
That is when Jake snapped out of his thoughts and grabbed her phone away from her soft hands in terror.
What on earth was she doing? Was she about to call Police for the sake of a thief? Where did this earth go?
If she were to really do that, he doesn't know about his poor RV but he would definitely be locked up in jail the next moment.
This nurse would be the only woman who had not yet recognized the real identity of him in this entire world at this moment.
The moment the identity of the infamous Mr. C appeared, how could any sane person miss the news?
He was sure that if he were to leave this hospital room now, he would instantly be recognized by everyone and many calls would go to the Police department immediately.
But it would not be for the sake of finding his poor RV but instead it would be to get him caught and get the damn bounty.
The nurse was shocked when her phone was suddenly grabbed and she looked at Jake while asking, "Sir, what is wrong? Don't you want to call the Police and get your vehicle back? I will help you so that you can continue with your rest."
Jake shook his head, "There is no need to call the Police. I will do it myself later. Can you tell me about my condition and when I can be discharged?"
The nurse blinked her eyes and then nodded her head, "Oh! Okay, should I call the doctor for you so that he can brief you about your condition more clearly?"
Jake was not sure if the doctor was as dumb as this woman. If he knows his true identity by now, he would definitely be in trouble. Hence he hesitated for a while before shaking his head, "There is no need to trouble the Doctor. You can tell me about the details in summary. I am fine or not and can I leave the hospital or not. That is enough for me."

The nurse was startled at his request because it was very rare for patients to want to get to know their reports from a nurse instead of a doctor. After all, they would feel that the nurse would know nothing and only a doctor can explain everything clearly to them and they can be saved by talking directly to them.
She felt a little emotional for the 'trust' that he just gave her and she nodded her head while her eyes moistened, "Sure sir. I will tell you about your reports."
Looking at her nodding her head enthusiastically and her sweet voice now a little hoarse, Jake felt his blood rush in his body at an unknown speed.
He subconsciously gulped while trying his best to control all his urges to jump on the woman in front him at once.
The nurse started speaking about his condition with her sweet voice trying her best to not let anything out.
Jake just caught on some words like how he had fractured a few of his bones and how serious he was but in the end he was successfully out of danger; which can be considered to be a miracle with the extent of the accident that he met with.
He really should be considered the luckiest man on earth for still being alive after such a big accident. Most importantly, an accident that was designed especially in order to kill him.
Jake's ears felt like they were dipped in honey as his thoughts couldn't travel towards the issue of his accident. Instead he felt like he would drown in the nurse's voice if she continued speaking.
But what was astonishing is that Jake wanted to drown and did not want her to stop speaking. Instead he wanted to pay her anything so that she could never stop speaking in front of him.
But of course such a wish can not be fulfilled and the report came to an end and so was her voice.
He wanted to make her speak and couldn't bear to part from her voice and hence he asked her, "Okay, then what more other details I need to know? And also when can I be discharged?"
The nurse thought for a while as she hummed and then spoke, "You need at least two days of bed rest and after that you can get discharged but you have to take around a month of rest at home. Before getting discharged you have to pay the bill too."
She said everything casually with a little respect but the word 'bill' brought thunders into Jake's mind.
A thief paying a bill in exchange for getting something? If someone were to hear this, his reputation as the best thief in the world would go down the drain and he would instead become the laughing stock of everyone.
There is no way he would pay a bill. Instead he had to escape before someone noticed that he was staying in this hospital.
