"Why would he do that? You just said that he sold your heart in black market. I heard that prices in black market would be very huge. I think it would be more profitable than handing you over to the police," The Grim Reaper spoke calmly.
Jake gave him another look of 'are you kidding me?' and said, "Do you even know who I am?"
"Of course I know. You are Jake Robberfeld." the Grim Reaper answered sincerely like an obedient student in front of his teacher.
But of course the teacher in this case, Jake, was not in the least bit satisfied by his answer.
"Will you just shut the fuck up already? How many times do I have to tell you to not call me by my full name?"
"But you are the one that asked me," The grim reaper replied innocently.
Jake decided to let this person be but still again he answered his own question first, "I am not just Jake. I am the most famous Mr. C. Do you know how much bounty was placed over my head? You would have to keep on counting for days even if someone gets the money. How can some puny little money that one gets by selling my heart in the black market be compared to my bounty?"
The Grim reaper fell silent after hearing his words. "So you are a thief? Oh My! How many sins would you have committed in your life? Oh no! Now I pity you for how you will face all your punishments later in the afterworld."
Looking at the pity dripping from his face, Jake was so irritated that he thought he would blow up the next second.
He just glared at him and asked instead, "Instead of thinking about my punishments, why don't you think about yours? No matter how big my sins are, I did not kill anyone at least. Unlike you."
The Grim Reaper froze as soon as he heard his words. He started trembling all over while thinking about the punishment he had to suffer later.
"I will compensate for the harm I have done, Jake Robberfeld. You don't have to worry about anything," The Grim Reaper spoke with determination. "Once I compensate, I will gladly go back to accept my punishment too. I deserve that anyway."
The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
Jake was surprised as he raised an eyebrow, "How serious are you, dude? I would have escaped long ago the moment I found that I had made a mistake."
"One should always accept the results of one's actions. Or it would come back to us later in the least expected way. And it would be even more powerful than before."
Jake looked at the grim reaper seriously like he was thinking about them very seriously. After a little while he slowly opened his lips to ask, "So, I just lost all my money. Are you saying that later I will not only get back my money unexpectedly but also I will get more money than I had lost? Wow dude, that is the best news I heard the whole day today."
The Grim Reaper was once again speechless by Jake Robberfeld's words. He had clearly said about doing something bad and receiving the punishment for it. How did it turn into money again?
Does this guy have nothing but money in his mind?
He shook his head helplessly, "So Jake Robberfeld, you are saying that your bounty is more than the money you would receive from selling your heart in the black market, right? If that is so, then why did that doctor go through all that hassle to kill you only for selling your organs? Is he an idiot?"
Jake clicked his tongue, "That is why I am saying that something is fishy over here. Something is going on here that I did not know about."
"Oh? So what are you going to do about it?"
"What am I going to do? Firstly, the question should be what are 'you' going to do? Give me back my body. Only after I get my body can I do something, right?" Jake demanded once again for his body.
"But we can't get your body back to you. As I said, it is already cold and it would repel your souls away."
"Then why are we even following this dude here?" He gave a look at the man who was carrying his heart away from the hospital. As soon as he asked his question, the elevator opened and the man left.
Jake and the Grim Reaper did not follow him anymore as Jake understood that getting his heart back would give him nothing. But he couldn't even get his heart back in the first place.
How could he?
While that man was easily passing through his soul?
He then looked back at the Grim Reaper and said, "Let us go warm my body up so that it won't repel my soul anymore."
"Warm it? How? Set a fire to it?" Grim Reaper asked him back innocently.
"Dude, don't burn my body. I want my hot body back. Not a burned body. Or how could I taste all the women in the world later?"
"Then what do you want to do? How would you even do anything?"
"Dude, you are the one with powers here. You should be the one that should be doing something here. Not me, okay?" Jake was exasperated.
"Once a body turns cold, it is not possible to turn it back. It is cold forever. So you can just forget about that body."
"What did you say? Forget about that body? Then what do you want me to do? Don't you dare kill me here, alright? I want my body back. Or if I go to the after-world, I will complain so much about you that you would live the rest of your life completing all your punishments." Jake warned him not knowing what else to do.
"As I said, I will compensate you, Jake Robberfeld."
"How?"
